The 50's Prime Time is our second favorite behind the Sci Fi. That chicken is simply the best. Yes they used to really scold you there in the past. I always wear hats and they always told me "No hats at the table and keep your elbows off the table" If you didnt eat all your vegetables they would come back with a fork and play the "here comes the airplane" game with you until you ate them all. The coolest thing was that the dessert menus came out as an old red Viewmaster toy that you saw all the dessert items on. Really love that restaurant. Another awesome video Jackie. We really enjoyed it there and love the chicken. I was told they used to treat the guests as if they were at home ( no elbows on the table , no desert of you don’t clear your plate) . I never saw or experienced that on my visit

Love 50's Prime Time Cafe. It's a must for us when we vacation at Walt Disney World. When we were there in 2016, my daughter did not eat all of her green beans and tried to hide the fact by putting her extra on my plate. Our server saw that, so when they brought out our dessert, the brought my daughter the green beans she pushed off on my plate with whip cream and sprinkles on top.

I love the Prime Time cafe other than the scolding which used to be much more involved. My daughter hated it when she was about 7 or so when the waitress told her to eat her veggies and things like that. It embarrassed her, so we never went back and now she's 20 years old. I told her next time Dad and I are going alone and will eat wherever we like and go on all the rides she doesn't like too. LOL

WHAT?! Can't believe that was your first time; this is my fav Disney restaurant. Growing up in kitchens like that being treated like the cast treats you will always be home away from home for me. Dad's liquor cabinet is the best place to get a drink and wait for your name to be YELLED for your table to be ready. The experience is the biggest part of the restaurant. Once Covid crap is over you have to go back and really experience the full cafe.

I agree going to that place remind me of the good old days whenever they told me when you had a plate you had to finish it before you leave the table still goes for till this day I never leave the food on the plate I always make sure I finish it just things that I learned along the way when I was younger some kids today leave more than half on the plate which I don't get it why order?

Love 50's! You need to go back and get a peanut butter and jelly milkshake! You can order to-go from tune-in lounge when they reopen. Literally SO GOOD!

Wow, I can’t believe you haven’t eaten there before! Definitely one of my favorite restaurants at the parks. They’ve definitely dialed back the family “in-character” interaction a little bit during the pandemic, but I still enjoyed it either way.

I loved eating at the 50’s Prime Time Cafe a few years ago. I didn’t finish my green beans....and the ‘Mom’ that was serving us, at the end of the dinner when everyone else was getting dessert, brought me my leftover green beans with whipped cream on top! We all started laughing, and she told me to finish my green beans or no dessert! It was an awesome experience!

My favorite restaurant in Disney's Hollywood Studios. The kitchen seating area reminds me of the home I grew up in the 1950-60's. Of course I made the clean plate club, that was the only way our server said we'd get dessert. I also had Grandmas Picnic Punch. Great food !

Jackie! I JUST made the realization that it actually was you I ran into at the June Orlando Informer Meetup! We were the group dressed in Harry Potter outfits on Friday at the end of the meetup walking into Citywalk. I thought after that "why did she look so familiar??"
