Disney's Kizazi Moto: The Series Nobody Watched 

I was one of the many animators that worked on Mkhuzi: The Spirit Racer, and I'm so happy to hear that you not only liked it, but also noticed so many of our little easter eggs

I'm a South African animator who's connected with a few people who worked on this project. So so proud of them and content Africa can produce. Really loved your video, it never occurred to me that Disney Plus was region-locked! And the lack of marketing on good shows will forever be a pet peeve.

Afrofuturism is such an underutilized aesthetic glad to see it in animation

Honestly, I haven't seen ANY promotions for it, and was a bit skeptical to look into it, BUT it's SO. GOOD. The animation, writing, voice acting- ALL OF IT its all so creative and fresh, it really needs attention

The only reason I know about it at all is because I happen to know a few people who worked on it. They are some of the most driven, passionate people, they poured their hearts and souls into Kizazi moto. The fact that disney didn't do any marketing for it is deeply saddening to me, not only because the various creators won't see much global recognition, but because this was a chance to put african animation in the global spotlight.

I worked hard among the language localization team working on this and I was surprised that barely anyone watched this... When I worked on the racing episode, it was just so HYPE and I hoped everyone would love that

The episode “You Give Me Heart“ was totally relatable. You could feel how sad it is that despite how creative you are, you have so little followers.

Waited for this series since I saw the trailer in Telegram group about cartoons. I can't say that that was a masterpiece, but that still was kinda cool (especially 9th episode), and I actually want to see more projects, based on not so popular cultures, made by people from that culture context. And I still waiting for Iwaju.

I found this series while looking for something simple to put on before bed. Instead I came across Kizazi Moto, and I could instantly feel the passion that was put into each episode by their teams. It's criminal that Disney did nothing to promote it, because anthologies like this are IMO the best way to show off to people the potential of modern animation. This video is legitimately the first piece of media I've seen talking about the series, and that both delights and disappoints me. I couldn't be happier to see people talking about it, and I only hope that with time countless more people might get to experience it as well!

wow im glad u covered this ive seen absolutely no talk of this anywhere when it could easily couldve had the same reach as love death robots its a shame its only on disney+ sounds like sabotage....

This is why small companies should not put there faith and money to the bigger ones. I mean I get they wanted their project to be seen worldwide, but some big companies have loopholes.

7:25 The animation alone speaks to the passion put behind the project. I wish I could watch it without having to look for some pirate site or whatever, that entire task puts me off from the show already unfortunately. Great video as always breadhead! Stay toasty.

Mkuzi Spirit Race should be an anime series, or maybe better an epic racing game. Imagine all the potential race courses, the racers, the race teams, anything.

I watched that series last night. The 2nd episode is my favourite too, I loved the animation style

Well I'm not surprised it wasn't promoted. Absolute shame. I bought Disney+ JUST for this show.

I watched it and I think it was a pretty good series for it to be representing Afro futurism. Personally, I loved it. It represents so much history.

I watched it and loved every second of the stories told in each episode

I barely found out about it so when I first got Disney+ it was the serie I tried to watch BUT it toke such a long time becuse every other time I tried there was something wrong with the video. Any other program had no issue. Only this one. And this is only something I know it was´t dubbed in that many languages. Ofcourse a couple but not the usual amount so I am not really sure, this show was´t more adult then some Star Wars Vision so either there was someone at Disney who did´t think they had to put money into dubbing this show and partly not bother to market it to a bigger audience. Now a couple of the shorts I wish become a show. But sadly like with Star Wars Vision it is only a showcase what dose studios could do which I hope lead to bigger show. I love to see animation from ANY African country. Like it´s silly how such a big continent barely have any presence in the world. America really is spreading itself all over the place while other contries, China, South America just keep it withim themselfes not confident thier content or culture would be appreciated in US or Europe. I don´t know.
