Disney's Magic Kingdom Hurricane Prep, Thing's I've Never Noticed Before & Super Low Ride Wait Times

In today's vlog we head to Disney World's Magic Kingdom to see howthey were prepping the park for the upcoming storm. We also check out ride wait times and crowd levels, it was an extremely slow day, which was great because we were able to do some rides we don't normally get to do! At Disney right now and was at the Halloween party that night! The party was great, some light rain but overall really not bad. It seemed as though the last parade was going to be canceled because it started to rain right at 10:10 but we got the full parade and it was so magical!! This is my first hurricane ever and we all decided to ride it out here in Disney!

what a treat to catch this so early! just moved back to LA - you all have been with me through multiple cross country moves, my first movie premiere (you once talked about seeing knives out and I almost fell over I was so delighted), my first tv show premiere, all my dreams coming true (and the nerves that comes with it) and in between, I've got the trackers on in the background as constant comfort. sometimes I think of how a few years ago, you had no idea how blessed you would be now and keep that reminder with me of how great surprises are around the corner. hope you feel how loved and supported you are and are staying safe!

He was asking what happened and why there is a graveyard behind the haunted mansion you will have to watch the new movie to understand.Basically the man that owned the mansion killed a bunch of people at a big party(the dancing scene) and they were missing until the “explorers” found the graveyard as well as the head of the owner.

Former big thunder cast member (Disneyland), and our ride system at the time I worked there had multiple break zones and lifts with sensors. The sensors would be in charge of monitoring the distance between trains and if trains were too close, the break zones are activated or the lift is stopped. The train runs on gravity after it is over a hill, so once a train is going down, it’ll coast until it hits its next break zone. I thought it was interesting that they were able to send the train at that point, it means they were able to cycle a train quickly through the station and avoid too large of a backup. If the backup went too far back and there were too many trains stopped in the attraction, you’d get an immediate E stop and the “sorry for the holdup, folks. There seems to be a slow movin train up ahead” and an evac!

My family and I went to the Halloween Party. We got there for an early entry before the actual event. It rained around 5pm during our Jungle Cruise ride after that is was great warm and breezy FL weather until 12am with light rain. By the way it was my son Creve's 12th birthday and he happened to spot you Tim coming off the boat as we were going on. Just seeing you just made his birthday Disney trip :) We love your videos!

Prefacing this with "relative to Tim's question about the backyard cemetery at Haunted Mansion" because out of context it'd be weird hah - out of story this still makes sense as back in the 1800s backyard cemeteries were fairly common, especially in rural areas. Now, 999 plots would probably be a little bigger than you'd usually see, but that's when you start to bring the story in.

We were there last night Aug 29 at the party. It was not as crowded as usual. We got there at 8pm (waited till rain stopped). It was amazing and no rain until about 11:30.

I was there for the party that night....it was actually perfect weather! Rained briefly right before the party started, then breezy, clear weather the rest of the night! The headless horseman rode, parades, stage shows, and fireworks went off as planned!

I am from NJ and was at Magic Kingdom early and MNSSHP later on 8/29 - it was a amazing day - I got into MK at 9 am and rode all the rides I wanted to by 11:30 am. I returned later for MNSSHP and it was wonderful - a great time all around. Thank you to the Trackers for helping me to navigate the special food at MNSSHP. You were correct - Peco Bills had the best food. Even before that I was able to score a cheeseburger egg roll at the cart - excellent.

Yes! Party days are the best for MK. We did this week last year and there were no lines for anything all day. No hurricane threats either so it’s not just the storm.

I loved that big thunder smoking area as a kid, bc you used to be able to sit in the gazebo and sit in a rocking chair and they had some checker boards! It was very serene. Especially when big thunder was my favorite! The only other smoking area that beats that one was the one in the walkway between circus and tomorrow land in the morning, no one would be there

I went on Friday the 1st after the hurricane, and it was completely empty that day. Also a party night, but I got to MK 2 hours after opening and I was parked in the front row of the Heroes lot, and the Villains lot was completely empty. So there was literally nobody in the park. Every ride was a walk on minus Peter Pan and Mine Train. Even Space! I walked right onto a rocket, never stopped in line once.

I was at the party. Rained early, once and was dry afterwards until we were walking out. It was just drizzling then. The Headless Horseman even rode. The fireworks happened. The closing/last show in front of the castle was shortened, though. All the characters came out and there was a song. Fun night.

The reason you stopped on the lift hills for the 2 coasters is a safety feature. The next block sections of track were not open yet. This is likely caused by a backup at the loading station (most likely due to a guest who needed extra assistance)

I was at the halloween party that night and it was literally a normal night. it sprinkled right before the second parade but it was super normal. honestly the crowds were even lower than i was expecting for a sold out party and we took the ferry boat back so the winds weren't even that bad when we left

Disney must have some serious weather Intel to help them figure out how prepared they should be for a storm haha. Even though there wasn't much to see prep wise it still looked like an awesome day at MK😊....Not that there's ever really a bad day at MK haha. I do love the freshening up of Haunted Mansion that was done. You can definitely see things better and I never remembered the mummy moving his mouth before. I noticed it when I rode it the last time and I was like did he always do that and it was too dark to see or is that new? Also, in the graveyard I never noticed the ghosts in the background on the left side riding bikes. Were those always there lol. I feel like I'm noticing a lot more now and I'm not sure if it's an update or the lighting wasn't bright enough😂. Good times! Huge hugs and love to you guys xoxo

We were there Tuesday for the party. We didn't go until 7 because a storm came through between 515 and 630. After that it only rained starting around 1115 and it was a light rain and they were able to finish the parade. Only thing I noticed different with the special things is that the bride was not in the parade.
