Let's see... 2 years ago I had an income of around £17k ($22.4k) £5k for rent. £3k for taxes. £2.5k on bills at least. Food was around £4k... £400 on travel expenses... So my take-home was around £2k. So yeah this was more than my take home... I was working full time. Waking up at 4am and coming home at around 8pm. Wasn't a great time. I now have more freedom, more money, and a better schedule. I could potentially afford this $6k rather easily but I have such a value of that money that I wouldn't spend that even if this was the best experience of my life :|

multiple cruise ships under construction, 1 billion dollar for SW land, on both coasts, parking garages, new bus lanes, hotel renovations, new hotels, Tron, Ratatouie, Guardians rides,the redo of Epcot's entrance, bought Fox movies...shall I continue? 4 concert tickets, plus parking and food and drinks is like $400 max, 3 fencing lessons for 4 people at $50 a lesson is only $600, pay an electrician $500 to teach you guys about it for a day and all the while stay at a 4 star hotel, 2 rooms for 2 nights at $350 a night that’s $1400. so in all you spent 2900 and that’s at the absolute most and you had wayyyy more fun and you can buy $1000 worth of star wars toys and books and movies and the kids will be ecstatic!

Totally called this outcome when it was announced to be built. You could feel the desperation to ignore the already bad reality of the franchise being in a downward turn by the time Last Jedi was happening. The finale just made it worse. And that scifi show had way better production quality. I'm honestly baffled by who this is supposed to be marketed towards. Star wars fans had exponentially better production quality in the new movies (storyline sucked but it looked great). Wealthy people definitely want way more quality. And people who are used to this level can't afford 6k vacations for 2 nights.

Star Wars is a vast galaxy filled with trillions and trillions of planets, alongside a greater exponential amount of people and organizations. I wouldn't even consider it a rip-off, the chance of a cruiser not having a singer would be far less than if it did have one.

Disney has literally not acknowledged that the prequels exist whatsoever in the last six years apart from when they had no money and was forced to make the kenobi series, which I’m already sure will suck, let alone did they have any care for what came before in general as demonstrated in the last Jedi. People need to let this brand die already. Star Wars is NEVER coming back, Rogue One is the definitive ending to the series.

I agree on the sleek and clean of Star Trek (somewhat... colonies were never shown to be absolutely perfect but yeah) but not so much Mass Effect. We do see there's a lot of grunge and dirt in Mass Effect but we really only see it from the upper Echelons' perspective most of the time. But hey. At least Mass Effect is still in a better place than Star Wars and Trek... Even with the disastrous ME3 fucking up everything.

This also brings up another issue. Most of Disney’s movies as of late have had budgets of 100+ million dollars but they feel so incredibly cheap, they may as well be TV movies at times.

Star Wars Legends basically doesn't exist and (old + new) EU fans are ignored and left to pray that Canon material using old EU content isn't butchered or watered down. But that's exactly what's been happening since the mouse claimed the franchise. They deadass stared the entire Legends timeline in the face and Thanos'd it's ass for the bland and no-direction-havin Canon we're stuck with now. They've invested too much into Canon to ever think about tossing it aside. And they'll NEVER backtrack to Legends and give it the respect it deserves. Doing both or one of these actions would absolutely wreck their company image and fragile groupthink ego's. Lucasfilm will also get wringed dry by scrutiny because it, at the end of the day, makes the new stories we're given. They ain't been the same since 2014 bruh. And I think we all know why...

With the scrapping of Legends, the only rationale that comes to mind is not having to pay Lucas any licensing fees and perhaps the flimsy argument that it'd give them more creative freedom. In light of KK later complaining about a supposed lack of source material to work from, it really does just seem to be a matter of hubris, shortsightedness and stupidity. Worry about actually making money first before you worry about George's royalty checks.
