I went to spirit of Aloha in 1994 on my honeymoon! It was really fun. This summer will be our first time staying at the Polynesian in celebration of my son's high school graduation; his choice when we said we could go anywhere. A full circle sort of feeling.

It’s such a stunning and fun resort. We’ve never had the $$ to stay there but we always do the “free option” Of riding the monorail 🚝 and visiting there, pin trading and getting food via mobile order. So it’s not as good as staying there but it’s free and fun to enjoy the interior and just hanging out there with the kids! I pray one day to be able to stay there for a few days, winning lottery would help LOL 😂

Haven't stayed at the Poly since the 80s, and it was beautiful back then and while I do love nostalgia, the new Moana rooms look amazing!!! Loved the vlog Nate! Thanks for sharing with us!😊🏝

Hello, I did the spirit of Aloha. It was an awesome show. The pathway you too was a stop point where you had a photo op before the show. The food and drinks was also good. It was a nice fun night on a off park day.

My Mom...and her Sister did a Poly vacation (without us kids) in the 70's. However. "Eastern Airlines" (the wings of man) lost their luggage. And they had nothing to wear for the Luaua they booked. Being Children of the depression. They made due. using the sheets from the bed and asking the front desk for safety pins.(and band aids...ahhh...it's a nipple thing) Anyways...they proudly walked in the Poly Lobby and requested a flower for their hair...wearing the green floral print poly bed sheets. And tennis shoes.

I am rewatching your hotel stays as they are so good. The mural is Maui’s tattoos which is so cool. If I ever have a honeymoon (unlikely 🤣) that’s where I would stay. I used to say the Contemporary but no I think the Poly has taken 1st place in my heart. 👍

I stayed in the Rarotonga building several years ago. It still had the 1970’s vibe and I LOVED it! It also was extremely close to the Great House. When I was tired at the end of the day, getting back to the room from the monorail was so easy.

It's set up just like the remodeled rooms at the Contemporary in the main tower. We were at the Contemporary in Dec that same week my husband hollered at you on the Monorail from where you were doing the Monorail crawl.

I loved the spirit of aloha dinner show! It was absolutely amazing as a child! I learned to hula dance and saw the best fire dancing ever. Also food was great and I was a picky eater so that’s saying something. 😂 It will forever be a favorite aside from character meals of course. I’m so sad it went away.

The Luau used to be a great experience. Should be back some day. We stayed at another property- but did it about 10 years ago & it was well worth the money. You are an amazing Disney blogger man. Keep it up

Hey Nate! The room is gorgeous and I'm obsessed with the floor but I hear ya on the old Poly vibe. I got to stay at the Poly before it was remodeled and I loved the old school vibes. Hi Nate!! Poly is my absolute favorite resort. Theres just something so unbelievably special about it for me. I was there with my mom in November and stayed in one of the new rooms (the remodel really was needed looking back at the rooms before these. My pictures in the rooms all look so dark) and I'm with you - I LOVE retro WDW so I was a little nervous about the room redesign but I ended up really loving how bright and clean they were! Every little detail at the resort helps create little rituals while we're there. We loved walking home through the little pathway from the TTC back to our room after long park days. The flowers smell absolutely incredible through that area. I also just purchased that spirit jersey! It was a must have for me. We're switching it up a little this year and trying out the Beach Club for EPCOTs 40th anniversary stay but I'll definitely clear some space in our schedule to pop over to my beloved Poly

Wow, this is bringing back memories. We just went to the LUAU right before the pandemic came out. It was unfortunately cold because we did in February of that year. We were laughing because we had to hula with our winter coats on. It was like a fluke cold weekend, and then we we had to leave it warmed back up.

My husband and I took the kids for our first stay at the Polynesian (jan) Coming from Canada we were in shorts and the lifeguards at the pool looked like they were wearing Northface snowsuits! 😀 I love that they named a splash play area for me KIKI Tiki 🤣

That's a nice view of the tree you got there lol. I wouldn't be thrilled about the bathroom sink area being so tiny and awkward but everything else about that hotel and room look absolutely great! You're right though.. I think I would also have preferred the older 1970s decor and vibe, darker woods and kitsch bamboo everywhere. So cool! John Lennon stayed at the Polynesian Hotel the week before the Beatles broke up. A lot of history there (and good food from what I hear!).

Have done the Aloha dinner show many times!!! One of my favorites for sure!!😎Included all the cocktails you care to enjoy🤪I always had Mai Tai’s) dinner was family style like Hoop dee foo, which was my other favorites😎

I recently subscribed to your channel and I’ve seen you in a variety of other channels. I actually watch the channels of some of your Disney RU-vid friends. That being said…I really like your videos. You are down to earth, you tell it like it is and you have fun in your videos. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures in Disney with your channel. I don’t get to visit Disney as much as I’d like to so watching your streams makes me feel like I’m there. Do you do hidden Mickey videos? I’m super excited for guardians of the galaxy.

We went to the Spirit of Aloha show years ago before we had kids and it was really nice and romantic. It had fire and hula dancers. Lots of audience participation to go up on stage to celebrate weddings and anniversaries. It was a fixed price with a buffet and tropical drinks. They gave everyone laid too.

Hi Nate! So good to see you enjoying the Polynesian resort! I love the under the bed demonstration😊 It looks like luggage will fit under there just fine. We have been to the Spirit of Aloha a few times and it is a great show. The last time we went it was Lilo and the ohana theme. The show is great and the food was always excellent as well. I do hope they bring back the dinner show and that you will get a chance to attend. I am sure you would love it!

So funny you actually went under the bed! 😂 We did the Spirit of Aloha maybe 7 years ago for my parents anniversary. It was AMAZING! Excellent food and the dancers were amazing. We sat in the first tier so my mom got picked to join the fire throwing guy. It was so much fun! If it comes back, you definitely have to go 😁

Number 780 likes, Beautiful Flowers. I Like this hotel. You can take the Monorail directly to the parks. GREAT room love the floors. Very Tropical. Nate you look soo happy there. Nate do not get too relaxed you may fall asleep. Wow that sky is so unusual. Nate Great you found your spirit jersey. Nate this was a Great stream. Thank You for sharing.
