Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park MY FIRST TIME! Slides, Surf Pool, Lazy River & Food | Summer 2022 

I haven't finished watching the whole video, but I just wanted to comment that I appreciate how polite you are to people, always saying thank you to the workers that help you.

You're bringing back memories!! I got lost here as a kid in the lazy river! Sat with a lifeguard crying until my dad came floating back around 20 mins later with zero concern I was gone... Ahh the good old 90"s!🤣🤣

While some vloggers don’t like some rides and don’t like getting wet, you on the other hand gave all of us a true review… all we needed was a spray bottle with water and sunshine and felt like we were there with you and Sam…great, great job, this was one your of your best, thanks…

Hi Jackie! Loved the video. I work at a water park, so it's always interesting to see what other parks look like. I do have some pro tips for making the best of a water park visit: #1: Always wear shoes around the park. I've seen way too many people burn/cut up their feet. #2: Each park has different rules, but generally you can wear shoes on any ride that has a tube. If your shoe isn't strapped on (like sandals or flip-flops), the lifeguards will ask you to hold them while on the ride. Water shoes/Keens/Tevas are some of the better options to wear. Each ride's sign should say if it allows shoes. #3: Do not leave anything valuable out. There are lockers available at most parks. They are worth it if you are bringing in anything you will be sad to lose. This includes leaving shoes in any "shoe keepers" before you get in line. Do so at your own risk. #4: Just because something says it is waterproof, does not mean it always will be. We have to explain this to guests anytime they buy a "waterproof" phone pouch from our park. If anything happens to your phone, we can't do anything about it. So use them at your own risk. #5: Look online at the park map before you come to the park. It can help a lot with way finding since water parks don't typically have paper maps & rely more on map boards. I spend a lot of time giving directions. #6: Do not come to a water park when it's extremely hot outside. The water won't be that cool & the park will be extra crowded. So you will be waiting in very long lines while being extra hot & fighting for space in every pool. Sorry these are kind of long. These are the questions/issues that tend to come up the most.

i miss river country as that was my first water park. i did typhoon and blizzard too but river country as you don't forget the first one.

What’s really amazing to think about is that this park LOOKS WONDERFUL for a park that is almost 35 YEARS OLD!

I give you alot of credit! Being a bona-fide scaredy cat (have only traversed the Yacht/Beach Club pool slide once when I was 45) it was great to experience all the slides with you and not getting the jitters...only the thrill and fun. Thanks Jackie and Sam

Aqua socks would be my number 1 recommendation. Wear them all day! Hold them for the rides that require you to, but otherwise wear them on everything else. Especially in the bathroom!

Typhoon Lagoon is my absolute favourite place, just to chill out in the lazy river! "30 mins from this point" = if the line reaches back that far it's a 30 min wait. I LOVE that wave pool! I prefer to go deeper, and dive through the wave before it breaks, it's less violent and more of a coaster :D Just the sound of the wave pool, the "Whomp" of the wave machine followed by the screams of excitement. I found the Magic Band to be the best thing at the water parks - didn't even take our phones! The magic band had the entry, paid for food etc, totally waterproof, and it was amazing to unplug for a day, no screens! There's so many tucked away seating areas, my favourite is above the wave pool. So sad they're sold out of Typhoon Lagoon shirts, I have such regrets not picking up a great shirt there - not available anywhere else of course. Thank you for this vid, it's as close as I'll get to a visit anytime soon, and it's such an under-rated gem!

The river pool at this water park is my favorite thing to do, I could just do that the entire day!

That old snorkeling pool was insanely cold! My mom and I did it when I was younger and we swam as quick as we could to get out of it. lol There was also a giant rock in the middle for you to take a break and when we were swimming in it they were feeding the fish lettuce. First and only time we ever did that lol.

Yay, your videos make my day! I went to Typhoon Lagoon when I was really young... maybe 12? (long time ago, folks) The reef snorkeling with nursing sharks is still a core memory for me today. I literally did nothing else but snorkel at their reef area. I do realize now that it's probably not that nice for the fish and sharks, but as a child I think it fueled my love for all animals.

‘Wedge~ify’ is the new word to add to the vocab!! I love it!! ❤️.. FL needs these water parks, especially in that summer heat! 🤟

I remember looking at a map brochure of this place. When i was visiting the parks in the late 80s.They were in the middle of building this place. I'm surprised that they haven't used any of the disney characters throughout the years as decoration.But i enjoy that this place is original and that submarine really ties the place together. I love waterparks more when escaping the heat & humidity.

Typhoon Lagoon is the best water park bar none! The sandy beach and the wave pool are just plainly awesome!!!

We love Typhoon Lagoon! One year we came down and just bought water park annual passes (when they still offered them) and just had a very chill vacation doing only the water parks. It was great! I always just wear my flip flops all day long and hold them for the slides.

Thanks for sharing this post Jackie! 😊🌊 I prefer Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park to Disney's Blizzard Beach because there's shade there. Blizzard Beach on the other hand,due to the theming and use primarily of mostly Coniferous Trees, has pretty much NO shade and the walkways there get extremely hot! I wish they had kept the snorkeling area with the sharks and tropical fish. It was always fun to go in the capsized Submarine and look through the portholes at the snorkelers and get a better view of the sharks and colorful fish. And as you noted, Typhoon Lagoon is relatively inexpensive. I don't know if they are still doing it, but in the past the Florida Annual Pass was a bargain.

We're not sure if they still do it but Disney used to offer surfing lessons in the wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon (prior to opening, of course). This was real surfing with real surf boards - not the boogey board stuff. We were able to do it and it was super fun! Yet another memorable Disney experience. Great video as always.

When I saw how big those waves were I was like you have to dive under them! You learn that growing up at the beach but glad you figured it out because it makes it so much easier! I’ve never been to a Disney water park but went to Volcano Bay last week and it was amazing!

We love Typhoon Lagoon! I can't believe you've never been. Your so close by. It's a good deal with the annual passes. We always wore water shoes! A must for hot sidewalks. My favorite is the Lazy river! We always hit it after lunch. It helps to rest my feet, legs and back so I can keep doing Disney park days. My family always rode all the slide and raft rides. I didn't because of steps. Plus I have back issues. I've done the family raft though. Have fun! Our favorite treat is the Garbage Pail Sundae!! It's really yummy. They used to put more variety of toppings on it. It's still hood, but was best years ago.

Typhoon Lagoon is my favorite water park on Disney property! My mom and I love the lazy river. It's our favorite place to go. Thank you for making a video about it. I hope one day I'll run into you at the parks.

Really fun vlog, I love Typhoon Lagoon! I haven’t read through the 200+ comments (you are on fire, Jackie!) but my number one tip for the wave pool is to stay out deeper. The waves have more force the closer you are to the shore. So to get tossed around less (and have more fun), stay deep.

Went to the H2o Glow party years ago, maybe 2019, it was fun after hours party and walked on everything. Loved the water coasters. I skipped that dark scary tube slide, kids did it though. I remember that really strong wave pool. Super cute bathing suit. Great video!

I love waterparks! Our one In Our state is open year round we go several times a month. I can’t believe it was your first time at typhoon lagoon. So glad you and Sam enjoyed it and looks like the weather was good all day after all. Thanks for a great video!

Hi Jackie! I just went to Typhoon Lagoon a couple of weeks ago on our trip! It was such a fun day. I couldn’t get my son out of the wave pool when it was time to leave! He loved it so much. I definitely agree with your tips….wear swim shoes(you never know what you might be stepping in 😝) & hold onto your sunglasses in the wave pool. I lost mine when a wave hit me! Luckily someone found them & returned them to me. I loved seeing your vid. even though I was just there! Only negative was the smell going up the stairs to the water coaster (the first one you rode). It was sooooo bad! We tried to be careful where we were stepping. I wish I had worn my flip flops & just held them on the way down! Yuk!!

Yay, you did a water park video! Great info and footage. That one shot going backwards was really cool. I liked that you showed some of the lines and walkways, you usually don't see those areas in water park vlogs. Very authentic experience. Even though it was your first time, you totally crushed it! Definitely try the mini donuts (sugar) next time... they're constantly pumping them out, so they're warm and delicious! It's too bad blizzard beach probably won't be re-opening this summer. Would love to see you cover aquatica in the future... it's the only orlando water park we haven't been to yet.

Another smashing vlog Jackie! I’m lucky enough to have been to TL twice. Most recently, my family & I were over from the U.K. at the beginning of June for 16 wonderful days. Some tips for TL, do not sit down in the really shallow part of the wave pool! We tried this & immediately regretted it! We got thrown around & the floor was really scratchy. 2 of us had to go to first aid as our arms & legs got cut up by being rolled around on the scratchy floor! Also Stitch does a meet & greet near the wave pool, not far from the first aid room. You should definitely keep your eyes peeled for him next time you are there. Awesome video! I’ve been to Blizzard Beach a BUNCH of times, never Typhoon. Been wanting to go. This got me even more excited….. one small correction bc my Navy past will not let it be, where you all were sitting, back at the corner snorkeling pool, that’s a turned over ship, not a submarine. The Keel & rudder under the ship can be seen. Ok I’m done nerding out now. Thank you for sharing the video, love it!
