Meanwhile, No Way Home came out the month after Eternals and made almost 2 billion.

The kids who watched the Sequel trilogy have mostly forgotten them. I don't see any kids dressed up as Rey, Poe, Finn or Kylo for Halloween. I don't see kids clamoring for those action figures or have Sequel trilogy themed birthdays.

I remember growing up at the time of the Prequels were being released between 1999-2005, there were entire aisles and shevles stacked with dozens of Star Wars merch, and it sold by the boat load. Say what you will of the Prequel movies themselves, but they did succeed at getting new generations into the series. For the amount of people that dislike those films, there's just as much a equal measure of people that love them. Something you cannot say the same for with the Sequel Trilogy. Since TFA, merchandise for Star Wars has been declining at a rapid pace, but it really didn't kick into high gear until the release of the Last Jedi. Even many toy companies like Diamond have been forced to admit there is next to no demand for Sequel Trilogy themed merchandise. Christ, they didn't even bother putting out next to anything for the release of the Rise of the Retcons, despite being marketed as the final, 'grand' and 'epic' chapter of the ''Skywalker'' Saga. Now, there is more shelf space given to the likes of Mario, Sonic the Hedgehog, Jurrassic World, and Pokémon toys than there is for anything to do with Star Wars. The only people I see ''praising'' the Sequel movies are the same ''people'' that endlessly give similar shill praise for crap like modern Marvel and DC comics, current-day Doctor Who since the Whittaker era, or Amazon's Rangs of Power.
Yeah my favorite line has to be. Story telling is subjective. Like what are they smoking? A movie plays out from start to finish in the same way each and every time, unless you are watching different editions of it. Like extended edition of lord of the rings vs the normal versions of the films. A bad film is a bad film and in the case of the sequel films here. They have been so heavily study by countless different people. It hard to deny the fact they are just bad films. Giving them a second chance, is not going to change the massive damage they done to this ip.
