Sorry the fact that Gothel has a spinning wheel does not automatically connect her to Maleficent. In Sleeping Beauty you see there were a lot of spinning wheels destroyed so they weren't uncommon item. A spinning wheel is a tool for spinning fiber into yarn. We know Rapunzel knits so having a spinning wheel would be useful .
Well then how about this in th episode Cassandra's revenge Cassandra burts into Eugene's party and was so angry that she wasn't invited just like how Maleficent was when she wasn't invited at Aurora's christining plus soon after that when he was at her tower she said that she forgot to give him her gift just like how Maleficent curses Aurora she did it by giving her a gift it may not connect to what your'e saying but its still pretty similar .
@@nathanaeljalbuna1419 I think their reaction are not a familiar connection but rather that they both have feelings. However Issac did say ,before the show did, that Cassandra and Gothel both having grey eyes could make Gothel Cassandra's mother, that is a way I think should be done to make the familiar connection.
Wotso Videos you are on to something but I was wondering about Pocahontas because Disney said that it’s connected to frozen 2 and I think it’s connected to Moana as well because when you look at Maui’s tattoo the mother resembles to Pocahontas and maui create the magic golden flower in tangled also frozen is connected to tangled as well and in some pictures online that arua and Cinderella also Tiana are cameos in frozen and they know that a new threat is coming to there connected kingdom’s and people are saying that brave is connected to frozen as well Do you think that malifsent or churnabog is returning
@Wotso Oh,I thought you already discussed that. Both princesses are smol 😂,innocent naive charm and fall in love with an “intruder” in their home which later turned out to be a prince.
A also have a theory that alice and her sister may in fact be the children of Cinderella because the Palace in the end of the film is identical to Cinderella and both sisters wear blue and purple colors only ever available to royalty.
I knew there was a connection between Gothel and the evil queen from the mirrors but this makes so much sense too. I love that all Disney villians could be secretly connected and it fits with Gothel not seeking power that she potentially could have because she had seen so many fall from getting in over her head that she became obssesed with doing the one thing so many of them couldn't survive!
@@IsaacCarlson Same! She has an amazing voice, and I remember when it first came out I was so sad she died!(Granted I was 4,and had barely any concept of good or evil but still!)
having mother Gothel be connected to Maleficent with just with the spindle wheel is a huge stretch. Spindle wheels were very common among households at the time (or Gothel's time) for making clothing. I'm sure that she had a spindle there for making clothing, not because of " a magical connection to Maleficent".
I always am intrigued by your Disney Theory's videos including this one. In fact, I put it right on part to your Tamatoa being Genie's Previous Master Theory video. Thanks for the incredible video.
personally i think all the disney villains are conected either through meeting, deals, or possibly blood ooh could cruella de vil be related to malefecient they do have similair body shapes and compulsion towards evil
Wotso Videos it just came to me one day and the more I thought about it, the more it made sense. Same hair color, natural ability with a sword, tendency for vengeance, she even suffered injuries to her hand
Interesting theory, but here's a question, how did she manage to bring the spinning wheel with her after she abandons Cassandra and takes Rapunzel? Wouldn't she know not to go back to the cottage because of how there might be guards waiting for her with a trap in case she came back for anything?
OMG I LOVE THIS THEORY! 5:43-5:45 Especially since the Zhan Tiri hands over the village look like Chernabog's [IF THEY AREN'T ONE AND THE SAME DEMON]. Also, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and Tangled all take place in Germany. The only problem I have with the theory is Sleeping Beauty takes place BEFORE any of the events in Tangled, right? I mean I guess Gothel is from a much earlier time period but still? However, that being said, that doesn't mean that Gothel wasn't a disciple of both Zhan Tiri and Maleficent at different points? Also, the spinning wheel might simply be one that Gothel refused to burn that she brought with her to Corona from the Sleeping Beauty time period, not necessarily the exact one that cursed Aurora.
Could you please do a video on the werewolves from ZOMBIES their history, how they were chased out of Seabrook, how they got their necklaces, who the members of the pack are
Interesting Theory Issac....One Question that I have similar to this one is where did Ursula learn her magic? Did she learn on her own or did she have a master and if so who was it?
In the folklore of the Orkney Islands there are creatures called the Finfolk and they're described as sorcerous shape shifters. Maybe she learned magic from them?
I figured the spinning-wheel & the tower was originally Aurora’s castle. The tower was going to be part of the ruins of a castle, before the creators decided otherwise. Maybe Aurora’s kingdoms moved to than Corona, explaining the sun connection, aka Briar Rose/Aurora. The creators said there was a landslide that made the hidden tower and valley disconnect with the world which would explain why and how it was forgotten. Going along with the kingdoms history of long lost secrets they uncover in Tangled The Series.
I thought Gothel learned from Zantari . and it was 2000 years before what looks like 15 century. Tangled looks like the 15 century. Sleeping Beauty looks like the dark age or 15 century at best
Disney takes a lot of liberty when it comes to character fashion. Tangled takes place during Frozen which is set in the early 1800s. Gothal's dress looks like 14th and early early 15th century. Sleeping Beauty ( and only because of how her parents are dressed) 1200s. Gothal having the spinning wheel is interesting, but not evidence that Maleficent was her master.
@@bobcharlie2337 no frozen takes place in early 19century . theories on connection have proven by the sequel and series.. At those were people who look like them from behind or. If wanna get imaginative maybe they encountered time travel
@@stevethecat9934 Yeah, the 19 century is the 1800s. Like the 20 century is the 1900s , the 21 century is the 2000s and so forth. Time tables are weird. And you make a great point, Gothal is ancient!!
Theorizing the connections with Disney Villains, archetypes , and the abrasive nature of the antagonists of most Disney stories are quite interesting . Explaining and exploring the back stories of these vile creatures ( I say it that way , because if how they were created that way .. ) just makes it even more fun to figure out. Most of the antagonists in Disney films are connected in more than one way. Kind of like Brom Bones and Gaston ! There’s a supposed link there . The time frame ..
I believe that mother gothel is actually Snow White and when prince Florian dies she becomes like her mom (step mom? They never specify) and becomes obsessed with beauty and young age and reads the evil queens diary (maybe?) and learns how to use magic mirrors and the reason gothel has green eyes and Snow White has brown eyes is that Snow White used magic to give her the same eye colour as the evil queen or Florian (we never see his eye colour do it could be light green) so ya.
No Murphy's law is not suppose to come from ancestor wronging another person. It seems like the law follows the male line and the Murphys are tougher than Kavandish as seen in "The Island of Lost Dakotas" .
Milo Murphy's ancestor, Sheriff Murphy, was the one that gave Milo Murphy's Law. There's a certain episode on Milo Murphy's Law that proves that point. Cavendish LITERALLY said that the Sheriff was the original Murphy's Law. If you don't believe me, watch the episode and see for yourself. 😎
Well Wotso I think that Gothel was a Orphan in her youth and she never felt love. So she grew to hate the people that do have love. Until she found books stating of a powerful Dark fairy and the evil queen that lived before her. Gothel grown to Admire these two ladies, despite the books only showing the Princesses perspective. So she decided to gather enough magic to become like them, until her Master was defeated. Then Gothel blamed Maleficent for her own actions. Where maleficent appeared in her dreams talking about power is not key but the flower of eternal youth is.
Like I said in your previous video. I do NOT think that the Dark Queen of the Unseelie Faerie Court would want or need to go to Chernabog for power. She has plenty of herbown, perhaps even more than him. She is, afterall, the "Mistress of all Evil".
Why I think Gothel has the spinning wheel: In Tangled, there's a specific scene that could explain why Gothel has the spinning. At about the beginning, there's a scene where gothel cuts Rapunzel's hair, but it turned brown. And coincidentally, her parents only awake right when Gothel is at the door. I think that Gothel thought that the needle on the spinning wheel could cut the magic hair without losing the magic, which explains her surprise when she cuts it. And she used it to put Rapunzel's parents to sleep, just for enough time so she could kidnap Rapunzel.
I think perhaps knowing what fate arrives for those who chose to serve or take deals from the evil chernoborg which at this point might be the Disney version of the devil. Scared mother gothel enough to try to put off her deal with him by living young forever. I mean chernoborg was scary enough that even maleficent feared him.
Maleficent being dead first and leaving her apprentice Gothel to pursue greater power just like Maleficent taught her, reminds me heavily wiith DIO and Enrico-Pucci
Can you do a video about High School Musical theorizing what is the job of Gabriella’s mother who makes them both move so much? Because is so mysterious the reason that Gabriella Montez and her mom from city to city from time to time.
Can you do a video with a Ratatouille theory about what would be the conviction that Horst served time in prison? Because in film Ratatouille, Colette told Linguini that Horst tells a different story every time when someone in Gusteau's Kitchen asks him.
Chernabog and Zhan Tiri's monstrous form looks a little similar, what if does two are related if not the same persona creating the most powerful villains in the disney universe
Can you a video about Li Shang's full story? Because I want to know much was his dedication and training through his whole life to become a great General of Imperial Chinese Army like his father, General Li. And I want to you explain the difference between the animated and live-action versions of Li Shang.
Can you do a video telling The Beast's full story? Because I want to know if the Beast's past in the 2017 version of "Beauty and the Beast" about being abused and "trained" by his father to become a cruel, heartless, spoiled and selfish leader after his mother's death is the official background of the Beast in Disney Universe.
Can you a video of Hercules theorizing how everyone in the village that Hercules was raised who called and considered him a "Freak" reacted to Hercules' suddenly fame and fortune as Greece's greatest hero.
I wouldn't be that direct about the connection. At most, Zhan Tiri was more likely her apprentice/servant. Zhan Tiri's powers are more in Maleficent wheelhouse. Besides her mirrors, Gothel only seem to have power of youth from the flower, hence needing tl carry a knife.
I believe 2 things. 1, Mother Gothels full name is Grimhilda Gothel (The Evil Queen) and 2, that she is the granddaughter of Maleficent. think of all the connections she has to The Evil Queen. she's obsessed with age and beauty, has the evil queens dagger and magic mirrors. I believe that she has been looking for a lasting spell for immortality and the flower is just another stepping stone, while she continues her search.
Can you do a video about Fa Mulan's full story? Because I want to know more about her childhood and her struggle to find her destiny in the chinese society, and know how Mulan's father got injuried in a war against the Huns. And I want theoryzing if like in the animated version of Mulan, she has the same natural ability to fight like she has in the live-action version.
Good video but I just assumed the spinning wheel was just how Gotham made the clothing Nothing More also implied it tangled the series creator has confirmed the Gothel was one of lord demantitus students also I have an hour house video idea who’s writing the letters to luz Mom I personally believe it’s the camp because I’ve been watching too 90s movies about a camp on Disney+ and their TV tropes page do you point out but nowadays people don’t need just letters to hide what they’re doing
Or Gothel could have gotten an ordinary spinning wheel to spin yarn. Rapunzel's hobbies included knitting. Or that spinning wheel could have been an Easter Egg,
Can you a video about a Sleeping Beauty Theory called Would Maleficent still have cursed Aurora had she’d been invited to the christening? Because sometimes when I see Sleeping Beauty, I question myself if Maleficent had been invited to Aurora's christening, would Maleficent still have cursed the princess.
Can you do a video about Audrey's full story? Because like me, there are others Descendants fans who are curious about knowing if Queen Leah made Audrey believe that was her destiny to become queen of Auradon. And If her parents expected too this future for Audrey, because her grandmother said "A lifetime of planes Gone!" when King Ben proposed to Mal to be his wife and Queen.
I want a video telling Aladdin's full story, because I want know more about his past of struggle to survive in the streets of Agrabah, and because will be fun and cool to tell Aladdin's transition from a street rat to a Prince and become heir to the throne of Agrabah alongside his beloved Princess Jasmine.
Can you a video telling Prince Phillip's full story? Because I want to you teorizing what could happened to his mother, if she died giving birth to Philip, died from some illness when Phillip was a child or if Maleficent killed her. Also I want to know how years old was Prince Phillip when he or adopted or was gifted by his father King Hubert with his loyal noble steed Samsom.
The city/island where Rapunzel was born is called corona... in the begging of the movie they mentioned that the queen was sick... see where I'm going...
Can you a video telling Disney's Cinderella's Fairy Godmother's Full Story? Because I want know if she was born a fairy or she was originally a human, how she got her magic wand, how she learned the magic word Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo to use the wand and if she has helped any other princesses and girls before she helped Cinderella to marry Prince Charming and getting her Happily Ever After.
Another thing that could support this theory is how much Gothel’s daughter, Cassandra acts like Maleficent in Cassandra’s Revenge. She could’ve got that from Maleficent’s teachings.
