Nice tought, but I'm not sure you're right. Carlo Collodi wrote Pinocchio as a metphor of what a child should never do (for example, Pinocchio sells the dictionary Geppetto bought him because The Cat and the Fox told him if he planted money a money tree would grow). So i guess is more like, if you live in a world were you have fun and no education, you become a donkey
Y’all were really giving Yzma the cold shoulder! She has extensive knowledge in chemistry, alchemy, manipulation, economics and politics (supposedly if she’s been running the country behind the scenes and kept it from ruin despite Kuzco’s flagrant spending), and she knows exactly when to get her hands dirty. Definitely the smartest in my book!
@@ghostboynj2001 I think that Queen of Hearts and Malefisent and probably Chernobog and Horn King are least. Frollo will probably be little bit lower than middle.
I'm surprised you didn't bring up Shan Yu's ability to detect an entire army from a doll stolen from a village. I never would've thought he could've caught army horse hair and gunpowder from a little toy
yeah, considering that mulan's main trait to both get in and stay in the army on the first place was her wits it ain't surprising that she is amongst the smarter side of the protagonist, it would be dumb if it would have been she having some kind of magic power instead
@@michaelmcdoesntexist6859 Hm, I am sensing a theme here... I haven't seen the live action movie, but I think I've read enough to k ow that I'm not interested.
Shan Yu might have been the smartest one in Mulan, because he easily realized she was Ping. Seriously everybody saw her with her hair down during the bath, and her towels was around her body not her waist, plus they knew her for a while. He saw her twice, all she had to do was put her hair up for a second.
Guys can have long hair, so maybe they didn't even think about it when they saw "Ping" with long hair. They were also oblivious about her voice too. I mean, if a dude sounds like a girl, wouldn't you question if that's a boy in disguise?!
Shan Yu deserves that no.2 spot for sure. He literally destroyed the entire chinese army and when Mulan confronted him he looked like he wasn't even down a single man.
Yzma being the most quotable Disney villain is spot on. “Pull the lever, Kronk!” *Kronk pulls a lever and Yzma falls down a trap door* “WRONG LEVER!” 😂😂😂😂
The REALLY extraordinary thing about Pinocchio is that the Coachman gets away with it in a film made in 1940, so Walt Disney was able to get past the Hays Code, a much greater feat than Pleasure Island.
Another thing about the Queen of Hearts. The book mentions that those she wants executed are never executed. It's very likely that's the case here. So that's all the more reason to put her at the lower spot.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that zootopia is a Pixar movie, so they would probably get their own list. I haven't seen the movie, but from what I've heard, you're correct.
@@UpsetWizard no the kingdom was still destroyed by his inept ruling so wicked binge was right about him being shortsighted he was so focused on getting the throne he never planned ahead how to successfully run the kingdom so he ran it into desolation
@@mindovermatterbecomingyour1561 That wasn't really a lack of intelligence, that was just him being lazy and arrogant though. (Also the story kind of dictates him being a bad ruler so Simba actually has a reason to return to the pridelands)
I agree! The thing that makes me wanna rank the Evil Queen lower is that she could of just turned herself prettier but instead turned herself uglier to kill the “beauty” Snow White. That could of used more thinking. 🧐🧠
In truth, he was just the guy holding left the bag for, his brother. King Richerd. Who spent most of the kingdom's money on the crusades. He had to hold together the kingdom on a shoestring budget.
Disney villians: cowardly to brave What's your list, please tell me? Cowardly/braveless: prince john, captain hook Neutral: scar (i think) Fearless/brave: frollo, shan-yu
Nah, I'd have Gothel at number 1. Her manipulation abilities are scary good. Also, Zira is actually much smarter than Scar. Unlike him, she is a highly competent leader, managing to keep her pride alive even in the horrible conditions of the Outlands. It took her half a second to come up with a very long, multiple-step plan for revenge. She even coordinates how her lionesses attack, and they were winning against Simba's pride. Her insanity overshadows her intelligence, but you can tell the brains are there.
mother gothel decided to keep the kingdoms lost princess within like a days ride of the capital. You could've gone to any other country, or at least closer to the border, and then the odds of Rapunzel ever finding out about her heritage drop to like 0. And keeping the source of your immortality largely unguarded after they express explicit desire to leave repeatedly? Also not the brightest move. It was inevitable Rapunzel was going to run away. Sure she's manipulative, but shes also an idiot
Just for your information Jafar was a patient villain. He only lost one minor lackey to get his hands on the final piece to show him the cave of wonders. After it was opened he tried to have the lackey get him the lamp and when he died from the cave this got him consider the phrase “find the diamond in the rough.” Sure we don’t know how long the beginning of the movie and when we first meet Aladdin, but as far as we know he only lost one unfortunate thug and then found the way to find the one to enter the cave.
Well yeah but, he gave the rest away to the movie's protagonist, Jim Hawkins, so that Jim could have enough to rebuild his mom's business and their home, the BennBow Inn, with after it was destroyed by John Silver himself and his pirate gang. So Silver put Jim's needs over his.
I think Scar is brilliant he knew how to use his intelligence and cunning personality to get his goal to come to him and have Simba be blamed for killing Mufusa, also have everyone think Simba died too but Scar did not think everyone would turn against him when they find out the truth and him blaming the hyenas for plotting the plan was wrong for him to do that wasn't smart and he didn't think Simba would win or come back but he knew how to get what he wanted.
agreed! here’s my list: Pure: Dawson, Olivia and Hiram Flaversham Good: Toby and Basil Grey: Miss Kitty Bad: Fidget and Ratigan’s henchmen Evil: Ratigan
Athur,Big Bang Theory, Yu-Gi-Oh, Yu-Gi-Oh GX,Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds, Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal, Batman the Animated Series,TMNT 2003, and of course My Little Pony Friendship is Magic.
@@sonnyfox60 they wouldn’t count since they’re pixar villains I think someone like hades would be good for the middle spot since he’s both funny and is a legitimate threat throughout the film
You forgot one villain who was kind of smart: Commander Rourke from Atlantis, and I was disappointed to not see the villain from my most favorite Disney movie on the list.
They also forgot to include Shere Khan from The Jungle Book. He was memorable as well, but I think he’d probably go on the lower side do the scale. I seriously felt like somebody was scratching the insides of my stomach when I noticed that neither of them were on here.
@@blankblankness2971 Yeah. I liked Shere Khan, though he really wasn't that smart when it came to fighting Mowgli. But he's literally just an oversized cat, and isn't as advanced or capable as a human is. He was powerful, though. He practically ruled the jungle, with all the fear he struck into the other animals. I guess that would count for something, but all the villains did have some command over the people.
Nah I think he should be in most dumb his whole plan was dumb to just suck the whole world in to a portal just to avenge his daughter like what was that gonna do?
he revealed that he was still alive WAY TOO EARLY he had no reason to attack and chase after the team and because he did baymax was able to scan him and because of that they where able to track him to that island he could've won if he wasn't an idiot
@@jaycrews9905 he was lost in a whirlpool of grief. The man lost his only family because of Krei who refused to step back and listen to the scientists who were telling him the portals were becoming unstable all because he wanted money from the government to keep making his inventions. Losing the one family member you have left is going to make you do things you normally would never do. It's easy to see that Callaghan was at some point a good man who cares about his friends and family and students but after watching his daughter die right infront of him was bound to cause him to lose it.
How does this channel have less than a quarter of a million subscribers-this channel is great! Edit: at 9:51 Gaston looks like a husband who tried to throw his wife a surprise party and only managed to scare the shit out of her 😂
@@cheyblake2475 So that Mowgli doesn’t grow up to become a hunter and possibly hunt and kill him. From Shere Khan’s perspective it’s actually a very smart tactical move on his part to kill Mowgli while he is still young and helpless effectively removing any chance for Mowgli to grow up and hunt and kill the tiger later.
Glad to know someone else was thinking the same thing! I mean seriously they remembered the Coachman but not Shere Khan? It makes sense I guess that the Coachman got the number 1 spot but I feel like that has more to do with no one there actually being capable of stopping him. Especially since his victims were all children and it's not like Jiminy could have done much to stop him.
i'm happy hades got such a high place on this list but. . . he's the god of the underworld and sees who enters the underworld when they die. he should've checked to make sure herc was actually dead instead of taking pain and panics word for it, considering he clearly knows pain and panic aren't the smartest tools in the shed and tend to keep things from him until last minute(the fates being there right at the beginning of the movie waiting for him, them not telling hades they were there until he told them to tell him when they arrived). but hey, what can i do to change the list.
12:26 why didnt you put the perfect clip for him here? "When it comes to brains i got the lion's share" the movie literally handed you the perfect opening clip to use for his entry on a silver platter and you didnt use it!
It wasn't a plot hole that Captain Hook didn't know Peter Pan's hide-out in the sequel, the sequel had him looking for his stolen treasure, which Peter hid in a different spot.
Yeah, what's sad is I think Pinocchio and Jiminy forgot all about that island too. Even if Pinocchio would tell his father, I don't know if Geppetto would be able to do anything about it. When you think about it, none of the antagonists in this movie paid for their wrongdoings.
@Natgal 44 Nope. Heck I remember being scared by the Couchman when his devilish face appeared when I first saw this movie as a kid. I was acting like Honest John and Gideon right then and there.
I always thought of Pete as a sort of goon all muscle no brain I never thought of him as the incompetent villain who sends out even more stupid minions
“I could make a whole book about things that you don’t know, wouldn’t be much use to you though, there wouldn’t be any pictures in it” -Belle to Gaston, probably Also, I’m surprised that Gaston got placed so high
Scar was extremely smart until he became king, I love scar but it doesn't make really sense from this moment, he was able to create such a great plan for his goal and achieve it without being cought and yet he fucked up after that pretty much everything, it doesn't make much sense to me bcuz if he hated so much Mufasa and consider himself as a better lion for the king - role, he actually should do everything to achieve it as well and prove it before everyone but for a reasons, after gaining a throne he was acting very childish and overall stupid basically for the plot rather then for logical reasons
Awwww I was looking forward to hearing how you would rate Percival C. McLeach. He was a villain who made a lot of smart moves. He made the local authorities believe that Cody died of a crocodile attack, and when he couldn't get the boy to talk he let Cody go with a convincing story about the eagle and how her eggs wouldn't survive. Seriously he was a rather effective villain he did capture the eagle. If only he was better educated about black market trade. He had a plan to sell the eagle and get rich. You would think he would have known about black market trades. He could have just sold Cody into slavery and gotten away with it. He could've been right up there with the Coach Man if only he thought it through. He even sent Joanna after the eggs to ensure the eagle's value would stay rare. Seems to me that after he caught the Golden Eagle he made some moves that were out of character for him and caused his down fall. But you didn't put him on your list. What gives?
It's a shame Yokai from big hero 6 wasn't on the list. He made a pretty decent villain even if his reveal as Professor Callaghan was easy to point out beforehand. He had a decent motive which was getting back at the man who supposedly killed the only family he had left and he was probably the only disney villain that made the main protagonist turn towards a villain themselves when Hiro let his anger and grief envelope him just like Callaghan did and actually tried having Baymax kill him.
i think Yzma deserves to be put a little higher on the list. she had a thoroughly thought out plan for everything evil she did, accounting for most possible outcomes. remember, her first plan to turn kuzco into a flea would have easily been a success(had she not decided to save on postage). disposing of a flea body would be much easier than trying to get rid of a human body. she was able to find out who pacha and his family is, just from kronk remembering that kuzco fell onto someone else’s cart. remember, at that point they didn’t even know what pacha’s name was so finding his family is impressive. on top of that, yzma most shines in her knowledge of chemistry and magic potions, seeing that she has a potion for almost every animal imaginable. the only thing that she wasn’t so smart about was her henchmen choice. yzma’s plans would have easily succeeded had she chosen the right help. kronk has too much morality and not enough brains to help yzma with her schemes(which is part of why we love him). but for yzma’s sake, the only reason why any of her plans fail is because of kronk’s incompetence: he accidentally turns kuzco into a lama instead of poisoning him, he fails to dispose of kuzco’s body, etc. when you look at these things, yzma only failed because she had the wrong team of people helping her. had she hired the right henchmen for the job, her plans would have easily succeeded.
The most brilliant villain in all the Disney villains was Lord Cutler Beckett.. in pirates of the Caribbean the guy was totally ahead of the game but wasn't for a total miscalculation he would have beat all the pirates

*[Nice video, WickedBinge! Question, could you do an Epic Mickey: Good to Evil, or Weak to Powerful list? You can include the sequel, if you want! The game needs attention!]*
Yeah this list is pretty solid. In my book, the best villains are the ones that get the most shit done. The Coachman, Scar, Frollo, and Ursula are some prime examples of good villains. I always look to these kinds of villains when thinking about winning something complicated. Other examples outside of Disney I would probably say'd have to be Ivan Ooze from Power Rangers, Ainz Ooal Gown from Overlord, The Governor from Walking Dead, and Senator Palpatine. However I will have to say the absolute BEST Villains are the ones that get away with it, like The Coachman and Lord Ainz
Hans a master manipulator? He was just badly written. He suddenly turns into another character towards the end with no foreshadowing. Mother Gothel is realistically written. How does Disney have such a massive disparity in writers?
Going off the original* script for Frozen, it was *Elsa* who was supposed to be the main villain, not Hans. He was just shoehorned in as the villain towards the end of production. *The script had gone through literal decades of rewrites, and Elsa remained the central antagonist in almost all of them.
Once again, you forget to rank McLeach. Unlike Medusa, McLeach actually had the common sense to tie up the loose end that was Cody by feeding him to the crocodiles. On top of that, earlier he had tricked Cody into leading him to the eagle's nest all while following at a reasonable distance as seen when he states that he didn't make it all the way through third grade for nothin. Where he falls short is while fighting off the crocodiles, he gets so caught up in the moment that he fails to notice the currents are picking up and that he is about to go over the waterfall. He only notices this when he sees Johanna waving at him from a safe spot.
Mother Gothel told Rapunzel, a captive with no other human contact, 1) that birthdays were a thing, and 2) exactly which day her birthday was. That's so stupid, and it ended up completely ruining Gothel's plans. She could have just... not told Rapunzel any of that?
@@pinkprincess6136 what I can say is... *there is no plot and why would you want to do that? Literally everyone besides a couple of characters with only one appearance on the show is good!*

I think Prince John should be higher than the Queen of Hearts, because he at least showed some cunning when he planned to execute friar Tuck to lure Robin in and capture him. Also, the whole archery tournament was a trap of his to capture Robin Hood, because he knew Robin would win. He's childish and weak, but can be clever.
