It's to give them legal standing in the case they decide not to throw someone out. This way they can't get sued for "why did you kick me out, but not them?" Otherwise it becomes like the Zero-tolerance policies at schools where the victim of a beat down gets the same punishment as the offenders
I do know some cast members who have actually witnessed/been a part of kicking guests out. One man got into a fight and was literally dragging his kids around trying to run and hide from security, but then another cast member blocked them from entering the store they were trying to hide in. Then there was another guy who tried to stand outside of the designated viewing area for the fireworks, and when asked to move, he challenged the CM to go get security. Apparently, he was really shocked when he saw the cast member had a security guard with them. I think at least one guest was banished for a while, if not for life.
I agree with many of you who have mentioned the fact that when people are packed in, these sort of incidents will pop up. There’s an added factor of stress, frustration, and sometimes anger about the “haves and have Nots“ even though it’s perfectly above board, when you see dozens and dozens of people zip past you in the fast pass line (or whatever we’re calling at these days), tensions can run extremely high
@@guyfrattallone6029 I’ve seen many drunken fights be broken up by police in Mexico and the UK pavilions at night. On every occasion, those officer were not playing. They got them in cuffs quick and started taking them on their way out. The problem is they don’t have police walking around Magic Kingdom like that. Only at the front gates.
@@alexisbk9576 wow! Maybe it is as bad as it seems. That's a shame. I guess all that bad behavior from the airlines had to eventually spill over into the parks. People just seem so miserable right now. I just don't know....
@@Tuffunikorn yup a lot of stuff that Disney offered was free now costs money. Magical express, magic bands, fast passes it sucks everything's gone up.
I’ve been a passholder for 36 years and there have always been fights. This is not new. Social media is new. That is why it seems like there are so many fights now.
@@alexisbk9576 Wow really? That’s just sad. I’ve been wanting to go to Disney for so long and there was a good chance of it finally happening this year, but it sounds like this place is not worth it at all if it’s so chaotic
If alcohol was the only influence on the situation, it would have happened long ago my friend. It's not the alcohol, it's the people. Vacations are stressful and I get it, things happen, but people need more self control.
@@Ethan839 people are more stressed now that they are increasing prices on everything 2-3 times a year. id be high strung too if i had to sell a kidney to go on vacation there. I could be wrong but its only America seeing such price increases to the level that they are??
@@Tuffunikorn not sure about price increases in general but it has been something on my mind. It's not as bad as it was earlier in the year but it's still high. As for a Disney parks vacation, you are right about the prices being so high and the experience being so stressful as a result and that's not even mentioning Genie +. I feel like at this point though, people should be more than educated enough to know what a park experience is like right now before going. If a family goes to Disney and doesn't expect that to happen, they should have done more research. Disney isn't what is used to be and if people really want it to change, stop going to the parks. Bottom line, if you go to the parks and complain about how awful your trip was, they still have all the money you spent on tickets, food, and merchandise. If you still go to the parks, you should know what you signed up for. The only time Disneyever changes is when the green starts dropping. Prime example: they only fired Chapek UNTIL AFTER the stock started tanking significantly.
Fights will happen no matter what Disney says. It's not about the verbiage, it's about enforcement. Since barely much disciplinary action is being done by Disney Security, fights will continue. For me personally, I'm just going to mind my business on this. Because at the end of the day, if I'm spending thousands of dollars, I'ma make sure I get my money's worth. What other people do that doesn't involve me, I could care less about. LOL
Thousands of Dollars for what? An overcrowdet place with stressed people and a nose of nostalgia powder. You waiste your money I think. There are better things to do.
Get into a fight then they should be trespassed and not allowed to come onto the property again. End of story. You can't act like a rational adult, then there are consequences.
Good, ban them from the resort. In the past 2 years there have been a lot of people with aggression issues in the park. Had some girl pushing and shoving her way through Main Street right before the fireworks. Almost trampled my kids sitting on the pavement waiting for the fireworks to start and I jumped in front of her before she ran into them. She scream at me calling me a b*tch them bounced off the lady next to me knocking her down. I helped her up and asked if she was okay. Then the crazy girl ran into a stationary stroller with a baby in it. Almost knocking it over and she starts screaming at that lady to move. No security or staff around. Keep your crazy at home!
We need a Disney fight ring where people can hash their differences out. Make it inside the circus tent in MK and have characters referee it. Princesses can be which round showcase girls.
Nearly got kicked out of Six Flags by trying to see how many people we could get to smile and wave back in the 1980's. It became catchy and started to spread - A Lot. It made security very nervous not knowing what was going on.
When you raise the price of an experience, as Disney world has, the amount of people able to go shrinks and their expectations rise. That creates tension.
Anyone who behaves like this in a place for families and children doesn't deserve to be there. Going to Disney is a privelage that few people get to experience. You are only ruining that experience for yourself and everyone around you. Either behave respectfully or leave.
No excuses for violence but I can feel the frustration of parents saving a decent amount of money for their family to enjoy and the anxiety of costs and wait times can wear someone out
It’s funny how the added stress and tension and cost Disney has created around reservations and G+ plays a role as well but they don’t want to be responsible for it. People are spending 5%-20% of their annual income and not having as good of an experience as they used to. Disney is also guilty.
Anytime you stack people in like sardines it doesn't matter where you're at there's going to be a lot of tension. Disney really needs to stop being greedy and stop letting people in after a certain point.
Great they could change the name of their parks to Stasiland. I missed the classical visit to Diseyland (eighties, nineties). Oh well it sounds like their themeparks will soon be places where urban explorers go to get chased by methheads through the ruins anyways.
@@wlonsdale1 Here in Ca- na - da, we just have to visit downtown Toranto adjacent to The Eaton Centre to get that 'accosted by someone thinking I am taking too long ordering at Starbuck's' experience. No exprensive trips to dizzy land required. For that we also have Niagara Falls /St. Catherine's. Apparently it is about the most horrific strip in Canada similar to bad parts of Last Vegas.
What about creating a more relaxed experience for the gusts is Stasiland? You don't even know who the Stasi were and what they did. Disney is about Money. Perfection too, but mostly money. People will go the no matter how much it costs and how overcrowdet this place is. Certain people can only function when they repeat patterns. Like eating out is a must. And going to Disneyworld is a must. They can't think "should I go there?" The just feel the deep urge to do it. And no, it's not for their offsprings. There are so many things you can do every other weekened when you like your gene carriers enough to spend time with them. Nope, they don't beg for Disney, you let them watch TV unsupervised.
The fights are probably breaking out because people are pissed at the high prices, long lines and rides breaking down all the time. It’s no longer a happy place. It’s a miserable money grabbing machine.
People have done fights long before that. I remember myself and someone else bailing from a restaurant at California adventure a few years ago cause some person had a beef with someone else simply because that person had opened the door for him and his wife or girlfriend. That sure as hell was interesting. I remember a cast member having me and the other person to bail and get away from the area before Anaheim police got in as the fight escalated. Still remember the poor girlfriend apologizing for her jerkish boyfriend for starting that fight.
You have to remember that’s it’s a business, after Covid a lot of people are going to the parks, more demand, you must up the prices, more people will OBVIOUSLY mean longer lines
Perhaps if Disney didn’t preheat the guests with impossibly high ticket prices and lackluster experiences they would be seeing less physical violence from the agitated adults.
This is a good start. I never understand how people can get to that level that you actually want to fight with someone in Disney World. What is so important that you must throw down for? A spot to see fireworks way up in the sky? Arguing over what food stand has better snacks? Who is the best princess? That’s Belle by the way. 😀 I mean seriously what can get people to reach that level to be physically violent in Disney World? If you can’t control yourself then you shouldn’t go.
@@quantumquestions5849 I went in April with my family in 2022 and also in 2019. I get it. It’s expensive. It’s crowded. There are lines. The annoying Genie plus. If you’re gonna get so worked up and literally fight in the parks, don’t go to the parks. That simple. You wanna go get drunk and pick a fight go to the bar, not to It’s A Small World. Lol. I don’t believe Guns n Roses called the song welcome to the jungle cruise.
Adults have started acting so childish that companies must now remind them to play nice because there are others in your sand box too. If people knew how to control their tempers and control their consumption of alcohol this would be a great start. Also look around, you are not the only one here!! 🤦♀️🤦♀️
There was almost a fight right in front of me during the fireworks while I was there cause this one guy said he was trying to get through to his family with his friends but then just stopped right in front of a bunch of little kids making their parents very angers. Thankfully we were right on the end fr so the cast members were able to help right away before anything bad happened.
i say they are taken to a backroom (separated ofcourse) ask them what happend if the offender accept he fucked up he can leave for the day no refunds but if disney finds who started it that person gets perma ban, time consuming but gives a hell of a message.
People are likely getting angry because they're paying so much but still have to wait so long in a poorly maintained park, and because the ridiculous food prices are leaving them hungry. I'd be annoyed if I felt cheated out of thousands of dollars.
1: it’s Florida, their citizens misbehave more than their lizards. 2: what do you expect when families have to pull out a mortgage just to go, they’re going to be stressed.
It’s probably because of genie plus. It makes everyone exceedingly angry and then when someone tries to cut in line or other shenanigans…fights will ensue.
Was at Animal Kingdom last Monday. German couple went from a screaming match to straight up fist fight after the wife tried to walk away and the husband tried to drag her. Crazy how quickly it escalated in under 2 minutes. 😬
It’s what happens when anyone can get ahold of a line of credit, they start getting into places they normally wouldn’t go and they don’t know how to behave. 😂
The prices obviously are stupid but I think one thing that adds to this so much is social media. Everyone wants the perfect trip now because they see it online. Disney has cultivated a magical experience that is almost custom but it doesn’t work like that. In reality it is very different. I’ve seen so many people push into lines, go crazy coz people are walking into their camera shot while filming. The only thing I can do is go when it’s not busy but even that is busy sadly.
Nah they should make an apocalypse movie instead, then put a thunder dome in there somewhere so they can add it to Disney world. Then whrn people fight put them in the thunder dome to match the Disney magic!
i Understand why people fight with what Disney charges to get in add on hotel food and souvenirs. I can understand why people get in fights that time is stressful and some people just snap.
When I was a kid, I saw a guy hit his wife there. Then a woman stepped in to stop him and he hit her too. Security stepped in quickly after that, but it was scary.
I have gonna to Disney parks all my life and the last time I was there I noticed it was a different type crowd than what was at the parks throughout the years!! It really use to be a peaceful place but that is gone!
This announcement won't change anything. Families spend a lot of money on a Disney vacation. I can easily see someone that's having a bad day lose their cool in the heat of the moment. Doesn't mean it's ok
Just finished our school Disney trip We where on its a small world and our group was laughing about the anomontronics and how broken they where But the person in front of us turned around and said you need to f**cking grow up or you won’t graduate We fired back said that’s cheep and they where plotting the revenge or whatever. They talked to a cast member and they didn’t do anything but outside the line he almost jumped us luckily one of our chaperones was there and was def bigger then the dude who wanted to fight. That being said it just be respectful and responsible on all the rides. We where just being typical high school band kids ( not the trouble makers haha )
One time when I was eight years old I need to Disney and all I wanted was some ice cream and a fight broke out right in front of us and I was so confused but my sister who was 10 was just laughing her head off
The park is mostly for kids and something that is appropriate for them, but the adults are the one to blame for all the fights that happen like a several of adults were caught smoking or saying something inappropriate
I had a guy threaten me when I was just doing my job during crowd control. Before I could even blink, a plain closed security guy swoops in and escorts his whole group out of the park.
I mean Disney already did something similar by making dedicated fight zone, they even give you weapons. Yet there's a catch: You have to fight vader himself
They should do like a $500 minimum fine for everybody who starts fights and then it goes up depending on how many strikes that person has on file. they should make a file though of people who start fights so then after they have like four maybe three strikes they get banned. They Qatar totally already have some thing like this going on. I just have never been to anywhere Disney related. I’ve also never left the province I was born in.
It's ridiculous. The day the 50th started (Oct 1, 2021) two people that I heard of had to have medical attention called in the emporium because they got hit or trampled. All of that for a mini backpack, pair of ears, or a spirit jersey!! It's ridiculous!! And a lot of it is resellers who get grouchy when they can't buy twelve of the same thing.
Cue line cast members should be more aware of “line holding” and cutting. To need to leave a line to go to the restroom is one thing but to have 20 people cut in line after you’ve been standing in line for an hour is not right. Line holding should be immediate dismissal from park as well. If you want to be with your group go in together.
my last trip to disney was rather traumatic. my father was a drunkard and at 14 i had to stop him from harassing employees, throwing ethnic slurs at other guests. I was able to tell exactly what car of carriage of the monorail he passed out in from how the other guests recoiled. from seing a 270+lb native, with tribal hand tattoos passed out, face down on the Epcot line. I genuinely have no idea how he managed to get away with this, but with what he got away with, im just glad it was not worse, and thise examples where just a couple incidents. no person has the standing right to ruin the magic for anyone, it is just wrong to do so. anyone who feels the need to do this to their fellow individual should be disallowed from returning until such a time that they can prove they are capable of being right and proper guests.
