I firstly want to start with an apology as I have been watching your videos for the last couple of years and this is my first comment on your videos (criminal I know!) I just wanted to say thankyou so much for the content on your channel, especially your Florida vlogs. They provide so much happiness to me and a complete escape from reality each week. When I feel down or upset I can always depend on your videos to comfort me during those times. Your positivity (even when struggling with your health), your passion for Disney is so incrediblely appreciated and I just wanted you to know that. Lastly a massive hello to your partner in crime Becky. Friendship goals right there. Have a wonderful week xx
i know im randomly asking but does anyone know a method to log back into an Instagram account..? I somehow lost my account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
We have a quick service dining plan which is included in our holiday as we book when you get free dining, but we pay for some table service meals. If you pay for a table service meal you will need to include a 18-20% tip, but don't include the tax. You don't pay tips on the tax, only on the price before tax. We always look at the menus so we roughly know how much each meal will cost. We spend a lot on Disney merch but we save up for it, our kids save their birthday and Christmas money from family, as we only go once every 2 years it adds up. You always give great info Victoria, thank you and I hope you have an amazing trip. We go back to WDW in October, can't wait. Much love :) xx
We always pick up a big pack of waters from the supermarket ,target or Walmart usually on the first day (very cheap )to take into the parks to save using snack credits on drinks.😀
I budget out all of my dining money on Disney gift cards. I enjoy the fact that it's pre-paid like the Dining Plan - that way there is no surprise on my magic band bill at the end of the trip. But it also allows for more flexibility than the Dining Plan. I typically allow for $50 a day (I like to eat lots of snacks) and then what ever is left over can be used for souvenirs. I buy the gift cards from Target with my Red card and save 5% which can be lot of money in some situations.
Just a tip to save money on food. You can order groceries to be delivered to your Disney resort from Garden Grocer. I have herad Amazon prime also offers this service. In certain resorts, the hotel will keep your food for you, including refrigeration, as needed and deliver your groceries to your room when you are ready to receive them. We stayed at a DVC resort (you don’t have to be a DVC member to stay at one) and had execllent service from Garden Grocer and the resort. We ate our breakfasts in our room and had plenty of snacks to eat there or take with us at the parks. Jeannine
When I went to Australia I took some money out in cash and I also used a travel money card. What I found good with a travel money card is part way through the trip I ran out of money. So I co tatted my dad gave him a special code and he was able to go into a travel agents or go to an in-line site and do a bank transfer onto the travel money card so that I had more money. So a travel money card with that feature can be good for receiving emergency money.
Thanks for the video, just one thing, travelling from the UK, you will pay parking at Disney hotels now, and to make it worse prices have just gone up.
Universal Express can be VERY EXPENSIVE especially during the Holidays ($140 per day Per person ON TOP of the admission prices!)...It might prove cheaper to buy an Annual Pass, since the top level pass gets you a year of admission, PLUS Express after 4pm, Plus free valet parking, plus a free ticket to Halloween Horror Nights...for $559/ person...or, basically, the cost of two days of admission and two days Express Pass...oh, and DEFINITELY TRY DISNEY CHARACTER WAREHOUSE AT THE VINELAND OUTLETS...we got stuff that would’ve cost well over $400 and the parks for less than $150 our last visit!
More experience’s you need to consider the price of= photo pass (if it’s not included), Savis workshop- 200 dollars before tax-and droid factory- 100 dollars before tax are the rough prices these will be at the new starwars land, The passport stamp collection thing at Epcot Pressed penny collecting Starting up pin collecting (lanyard and some pins to trade)
I saw on another vlog that if you have a 14 day Disney pass then you can get free crazy golf before 4 pm (blizzard beach and Fantasia gardens I think). Not done it myself but maybe worth looking into .....
A bottle of water costs $4 in the parks but is available free at quick service locations if you’re fine with the taste of Florida water. If not, buy a stash from outside the parks.
We've decided on going again next year with our family but as we added on as a separate party, it is the first time we have our own car as we are staying off property... thankfully for my OCD and organisation factoring in parking/uber costs has definitely added to our budget for spends xxx
I took 16 family members 4 years ago to Disney World and I paid for transportion and lodging and omg was it stressful but my family had a great time…..won’t be doing that again lol, I will be using your tips for sure!
yes you can use the travel cards for uber, used mine in CA all the time. Also be care using the travel cards, as some companies send one with no name on, unlike your debit card, so some shops can be a bit funny. Our replacement card had my name on and works amazing in america
Super useful, though we have been to Orlando a number of times we haven't been to Disney 🙈, quick tip though we had a thomas cook travel card on our last trip and was able to easily link it to uber 😊
When setting up your magic band with a card you have to remeber they hold a 100$. This is only released 1-4 days after the bill is settled. So if you use a travel card an you think you have a 1000$ you wont you only have 900$
When I went to Disney back in January I knew I was going to spend a lot. I had a list of things I REALLY wanted and for general things (pins) I said if it’s not beauty and the beast or a pin that specifically arks that holiday (year pin, park pin) then I’m not to buy it. Majority of what I bought (excluding food) was beauty and the beast- although one of the items was the light up lumiere. I didn’t find everything I wanted (certain pins, popcorn bucket, specific ears) so I ended up spending less than I had though thankfully. But this is because I told myself I wasn’t allowed anything unless I liked it and it was from beauty and the beast. I think the only items I got that weren’t from the movie were- 2019 pin, photos, 2 bags of goofy sweets and a rice crispy treat. However I did buy stuff at Florida mall, outlet stores, and a couple f other places. Thankfully adding up all the money I spent over the holiday I spent around £100 less than expected as some items I wanted (including a couple of funko pops at the mall) I was unable to find. I tried not to stray too far from either products or stores (e.g. bath and body works) I had already planned to get/shop at.
You might want to consider Disney Gift Cards...they are acceptable EVERYWHERE on Disney Property...also, certain places offer discounts on purchasing Disney Gift Cards (Target stores, especially when using your Target RedCard, offers a 5% discount on purchases...not a Huge amount, but still not too bad)
disney photopass if you dont get it free, make sure you add it to your account. As a couple we find it very difficult to be in all the pictures together.
Sit down restaurants will average $50/person (with some exceptions)...table service meals will average $20/person....Disney Springs will average Slightly less...Also, if you are staying for 2 weeks or so, and you are driving and paying for parking, it might be financially advantageous to upgrade one person in your party’s 9 or 10 day pass to an Annual Pass, since most passes include all parking, in addition to the other benefits
I don't know if things have changed recently, but the pre-paid credit cards aren't taken a lot of places, including Disney resorts... something about them not being secure and reliable enough? Shame cos they're a great concept!
Hannah Calow We always tip the housekeeper. Between $3 and $5 a day depending on messy we’re leaving the room. Some people tip $1 per person in the room.
