Yes, that’s correct! If you didn’t purchase it with the ticket, you have to wait until you are scanned in to purchase. I have a video on how to purchase it as well!

I'm getting a 3-day 1-park-per-day ticket and want to purchase the Lightning Lane Multi Pass (previously called Genie+). Am I able to do so on the app AFTER I purchased my tickets, or is it only when I enter the park that I can purchase it?

I bought a one day park ticket and it allowed me to purchase genie + when I purchased the tickets at Disneyland’s website. My tickets with genie + are linked to my app, but will I need to wait till I am scanned in and enter the park to do genie +? Sorry this is my first time using genie +.

Yes you have to be scanned into the park before you can make your first selection!
