That just isn’t true though. The park did suffer badly in its first years with visitor numbers far below expectations, but that was in part due to a Europe-wide recession at the time. The park began making an operating profit from 1995 onwards, and in the last year before Covid, the resort attracted 15 *million* visitors (10 million for Disneyland Park, 5 million for Studios Park) - the most of any theme park in Europe and rivalling the likes of Universal Studios Florida. It’s hardly a ‘bomb’ at all.

​​@@Jaxymannpicking out the few times things went well for them but overlooking all the years they struggled to just about make a profit during the early 2000s and then visitor numbers plummeted after the recession in 2008 and didn't pick back up until 2010/ 11.📈

Matterhorn Matt I did. I’m guessing is that this was a pre or during construction ad that was eventually replaced with the similar ad that had actual footage of DLP in it.

Not really, the park wasn't open yet, so they had to use footage from other parks to give that illusion that's what to be expected from the 'new' European park at the time.
