I grew up going to both resorts pretty equally. I think in terms of “resorts”, they’re apples and oranges. WDW is a bubble of vacationers 24/7 (which to me can feel a little impersonal). Disneyland is like a town square in a small town where everybody knows your name. For that reason, Disneyland is also my favorite Disney park. (And I’ve been to all of them.) The vibe is just different. Another analogy I like to use is that WDW is like the Bellagio in Vegas. It’s grand, impressive, and built to have extra wide walkways to account for crowds. Disneyland, on the other hand, is the small town of Bellagio in Italy that all the other parks are based off of. And the reason why this is relevant is that scale is what makes Disneyland special. Whenever you make things large and wide-open (which is great for crowds), you sacrifice scale and the “cute and quaintness” of things. This is why Disneyland feels more like a small town and why it feels like a park specifically designed for Disney fans to have their “homecoming”. I still feel nostalgia for WDW (as you do too since it’s what you grew up with) but you’re experiencing what I felt growing up with both, is that “nostalgia” just comes easier at Disneyland even if you’re not a local. It may be the history or it being the original but I suspect it’s much more than that. Magic perhaps? I’ve also noticed you kept on saying “theirs” and “they are”. Remember that Disneyland is also yours too. As Walt said, “Disneyland is your land.”
And it seems they care more about disneyland, for example, even disneyland being in the middle of a city you can’t see the outside due to the berm, while at magic kingdom, there places that breaks the illusion such as tron the ride, with that giant industrial building at fantasyland
I grew up going to Disneyland a couple times a year and have only ever seen a cat once! It was in line for Thunder Mountain taking a nap under one of the bushes. SO many magical moments have happened in this vlog and all the others, and I'm so happy and thankful y'all share them with us. Also a Swiftie side note- Cait saying Speak Now TV coming soon on Dumbo WITH you being on number 7 but little did she know soon after Taylor would announce it's being released July 7th, she's a mastermind!!! Love your vlogs so much as always
I loved your Disneyland vlogs!! I can’t wait until you guys go back. I really hope you get to experience Christmas at Disneyland soon I know you will just die when you see Christmas Small World!
Next visit look into the vip tour that takes you on a history tour of main street and then takes you inside Walt’s apartments . I did that last November. It was amazing!
I used to work the attractions in Fantasyland. Casey Jr. Was my favorite. I could stay driving that little train forever if they'd let me. (Except when it was cold and rainy; then I wanted to be on Peter Pan or Mr. Toad. Especially Mr. Toad was warm.)
Yay! Your video came out at the perfect time, as I plan out my college graduation trip for Disneyland. I'm so excited to go. I haven't been since 2018, when Galaxy's Edge/Avengers Campus/new Paradise Pier didn't exist yet.
I literally grew up going to Disneyland, and living in Florida now and going to DW, I truly feel DLand is so much better, they have better food, merch and all the characters come out and walk around which it’s easier to meet.. Disneyland is a different feel than DW! But I do love being able to still be an AP at DW
WDW and DLR are two different beasts that cater to different types of guests. While there are locals and tourists at both resorts, WDW is geared for tourists that might make the trip once or twice in their lifetimes (which is why you don't have holiday overlays for the likes of HM and IASW). DLR is more of a locals destination, in the vision of Walt Disney's original intent which was to have a place where parents and children can interact together. As for who's best, that will be forever debated. For myself, as a older GenX Disneyland local, an AP and now MK holder, and even a parent to a former CM, Disneyland will always be my home and favorite destination. There is something special and unique about Disneyland. Besides being the OG park, Walt Disney built, worked, walked, and lived here. While also present in the other parks, his spirit and presence is especially strong in The Happiest Place on Earth, amongst the CM's, and the many longtime, and enchanted, guests/fans.
when i lived back in OC, every tuesday i would have a volleyball practice at the near by sports center. so my brother and i would eat at the blaze pizza right next to the walgrens behind the parks. i just remember seeing guardians and the back of cars land wishing i was in the parks instead of busting my butt in volleyball lol
Disneyland California seems really similar to Disneyland Paris. The Casey Jr theme was the song of our trip 🤣 We accidentally ended up at Disneyland Paris on May the 4th and Walt Disney Studios was buuusyy!
I have gone to Disneyland more times then I can count. I moved to Florida and I have been to Disney world twice and I can proudly say Disneyland is so much better!
I would love for you to do a Q+A! I know you like to keep things more private, but as a new subscriber I would love to know more about you and your background in Disney!!
@@paigesullivan327 A literal dream of mine is DW but Sadly i don't think that's in the cards for me. we just bought a house and it needs a ton of work lol. Only Disney i think i'll ever see is MAYBE Paris, but that's a while away, though it is only a short train ride from here🤪
i cant believe taylor swift collabed with disney to make the purple dumbo number 7 as an easter egg to speak now TV coming out on 7/7. she is a mastermind
Bron, some of your auto-subtitles are mis-hearing the words you're saying a LOT lately in your videos. idk if you would ever be looking for one to hire, but should you evber be, i do closed captioning and would LOVE to work for you and do closed captioning for your videos!!
