[4K] Testing out the GoPro Hero8 Black Hypersmooth on Disneyland's Matterhorn Bobsleds coaster ride which is considered by many as one of the roughest and painful Disney rides out there.

Once upon a time, someone's hat flew off on the ride and I threw my hand in the air and caught it while the ride was moving. I've never felt more badass.

Absolutely love this ride. Such a classic! It's not smooth or comfortable either, which I think sort of adds to it's character in a weird way. When I was little I was genuinely terrified of those yetis though!

Sucks that we didn’t get a Matterhorn in Orlando. Given the rides age, it’s pretty smooth. Again that’s given it’s age. There’s coasters newer than this and ride worse than this

CryoNerfMods, there was a plan to build a Matterhorn ride in the Swiss pavilion in World Showcase at Epcot. Unfortunately, it was scrapped due to lack of budget. But the concept wouldn’t die and later became Expedition Everest.

I wish that they would change it, at least temporarily, to run only one car at a time, which is how it originally ran. It was actually a smoother ride because that's what it was designed for, but I also understand that the current two-car configuration moves the line faster.

The GoPro 8's stabilization does look better than the 7. It also seems to do better in low light situations than the 7. Great video.

I had went on this ride for the first time back in 2018, AT NIGHT, which meant it was really dark but that made the ride more fun than it is during day. I definitely prefer this ride day and night

Don't forget that this is the first EVER steel roller coaster! All others prior to this one were wood, so yeah it's rough. Especially the Fantasyland side, which this is. The Tomorrowland side is mush smoother and it is faster but it is shorter too. The Tomorrowland side is/was out of service when this was recorded. A piece of the facade fell off. I bet that never happens at Space Mountain in WDW, its almost exactly the same layout. Kungaloosh!!!

Those sleds are much better looking than the one that I went on the last time I rode on it years ago. In fact there was almost a terrible accident with a couple who didn't speak English and the castmember almost couldn't get them to understand that they needed to strap themselves in until just before the ride actually started.

My sister decided to record with her phone in one hand and it flung out of her hand middle ride and the workers said she had to wait until the ride broke down for them to go get it. Ended up breaking down at 10 pm and when they found her phone not a scratch or anything on it.

Love the video. I'm unable to rides like this due to health issues now so this is very nice way to experience them. I am a little confused I've always thought the Matterhorn had a big yeti at the end that would try to grab you it was kind of the big deal of the ride and I did not see that wondering if they got rid of it.

That is on Expedition Everest in Animal Kingdom at Disney World. This is the Matterhorn ride at Disneyland.

The trick to riding this is to lean forward . If you’re over 25, you’ll appreciate this tip and so will your back. I love this ride though.

How do you get on the rides with the Gopros? It looks like you have a head mount? Everytime I go on the rides (Annual Pass Holder) I always see the Disney attendants ask people to take them off and store them away. Great video btw!
