Yeah I think this replica is amazing! The lift hills are so slow and those moments you go under the water are really pitch black and misty in real life it felt really accurate
I really wish someone would recreate Anaheim Disneyland with this level of detail/realism. This is great. edit: Sidenote, the queue area for Amelie's Scary Adventure is absolutely perfect. Taking notes here!
Interestingly, regarding big thunder. The mountain you ride around is actually a complete island in the middle of the lake. You go under the water to get to it, which is why there are the two blackout areas at the start and end. Tony Baxter was the imagineer who came up with the original Big Thunder Mountain ride, and he was then subsequently chosen to be the lead imagineer working on the Disneyland Paris project. So he made sure that his ride was as good as it could possibly be. This was a very faithful recreation, as other commenters have said. Just something for those who might enjoy the history :)
My dude, I highly recommend you go check out a POV of Disneyland Paris' Big Thunder Mountain. A good one. I'm sure you'll find no room for disappointment and will reconsider your opinion on this less detailed, yet incredibly faithful recreation. As someone who rode the Paris' version at least a hundred times and is now missing those golden days where I used to live close to Disney, I got literally ALL the feels. 😢 Beautiful.
The long audio loops were probably based off of the background music loops that actually exist in each land at Disney parks. But probably a good idea you avoided copyright strikes. This is a stunning park. I've never been to DLP, but I've seen photos and the accuracy looks quite high.
I believe that ride is supposed to be snow white, cuz the Creator said that this is supposed to be Paris and also Anaheim Disneyland and I go to the Anaheim one quite often and it's snow white ride that we have there. Now the image that you showed though was of Cinderella with the little rats and making of the clothing.
Amazing work, stunning result. I've spent a lot of time in Disneyland Paris and I must say that I find in this recreation the magic I don't see anymore in the real park. Removing the space mountain coaster, for example, is one of the mistakes that made this park... just boring, now. Beautiful spotlight !
I think Disneyland Paris version of Big Thunder is hard to interpret towards the experience it truly offers in real life. The darkest parts (also means you're passing under the river) of the ride is actually so fast that it feels like a true thrill coaster rather than a fun family coaster. DLP's Big Thunder is also the fastest in any Disney Parks.
I’ve been to Disneyland Paris when I was 5,6,7 and went to Orlando Disney last year and what I can remember is Disneyland was better but I don’t know wether it was because I was a kid
Amalie's scary ride seems like it was named after "Snow White's Scary Ride". But the princess in the picture, and the mice with her, indicate that she's standing in for Cinderella. BUT, since this is based on Paris... I'm not familiar enough with that Disney Park to know for sure it ISN'T "Sleeping Beauty's Scary Ride". So... grain of salt and all that disclaimer stuff. ;)
Anyone knows if there is any DLP park you can upload in the PS5 version? I just want the game to see DLP and I would like to avoid gaming on the computer
