Goofy's Sky School is a wild mouse type of roller coaster. But, Disney requested modifications to the ride to be placed at Disney's California Adventure. What modifications did they request? I miss it being on top of the Peoplemover structure, it just seems wrong at ground level. If they ever do a refurb of Tomorrowland, it needs to go back up high.

I remember when the top part rotated independently from the rest of the ride. There really was some nice kinetic energy at that spot when 1998 Tomorrowland opened.

Thank you for doing this video Chris! I never knew there was history behind Astro Orbitor, I love it. I have been on this only once in my lifetime and it is so fun. I am riding this again on my next Disneyland vacation at night. Disneyland rides are the best and spectacular during night hours.

Hi Chris! Great video as always! The Paris Obritron was recently completely removed for refurb! Discoveryland looks really empty without it taking up the skyline & floorspace 😲

I know that Walt Disney loved trains and had some at his own home (we read Disney’s Land by Richard Snow). We would love it, thanks for considering!

Back in April 1997, one of the original fan clubs for EuroDisneyland hosted a lunch and Q&A session with Tony Baxter at Walt's Restaurant, honoring the 5th anniversary of the Resort. As you might know, Tony was one of the head Imagineers for EuroDisneyland. Before coming to the festivities, he did some traveling across Europe with his sister. Among other things, he drove through the italian countryside when he suddenly saw the outline of Orbitron in the distance. His first thought was "Oh no, another park stole our design and built an Orbitron in Italy!" But then he realized that this was the company which built the Original Orbitron for Paris in 1992 and was now building another one for Anaheim.

Astro Orbitors is literally the only DL ride where I rode it once and said "nope, never again" 😅 I don't know why such an innocent looking ride freaked me out so much haha.

Yeah that made me dizzy, but I am dizzy often doesn't take much. Glad I didn't go on any of those last time. The incredicoaster also makes me dizzy 🙃. I saw Kitra from Ordinary Adventures buy a motion sickness bracelet, I might try it.

You should to the Oakland coliseum. The lease on the coliseum ends in 3 years and Athletics will be moving possibly out of California. There will be no more baseball in the coliseum once they leave.

I can't ride bare foot! (Deal breaker, I WON'T ride!) LOL! I worked the Gunslinger (Chance YoYo) spining ride. We had same problem. Ride won't "park" where your shoes are. Flip flops had to come off (in Houston in summer) Lots of toasted tootsies when trying to find shoes! It was an Eisner "thing" for the spelling of Orbitor vs. Orbiter. One of Eisner's son spelled it that way. The Imagineer's left it incorrect because, YOU know.....

Not sure how true this is, but i saw a video that stated that the myth was that disney needed to come up with a name for it, so one of the imagineers asked his son for help and thats the way he spelled it, they didn't spell check it, they just ran with it...

I have an idea why Disneyland is Astro Obitor and Walt Disney Word is Astro Orbiter. DL *O* is because it is *Original* in homage to the Asttro Jets. WDW *E* is because of the fact that WDW is on the *East Coast* and because DL Paris is *East* of WDW. (just a thought, it may not true but it's my creative way of thinking)
