In a previous tutorial we saw how to validate the user data and password in an Excel vba form. In this tutorial we will use the same sample file, but making some modifications to make it more functional. One of the modifications is to assign a worksheet to each user, thus allowing depending on the user you enter, be the sheet that will be displayed. If your user is an Administrator level, then you can view all the pages, including the user's page and passwords.
Another of the modifications we made is that every time the file is opened, the form to enter the user and password is displayed. In addition to closing the file, all the sheets will be hidden, except the main one, and the file will be saved automatically.
Table of users and passwords
We have a sheet called Users where we will have a table that will contain the NAME, USER, PASSWORD and LEAF data. In the SHEET column the name of the sheet will be shown to each user. If we look at Figure 1 we see that in the LEAF column we have the word ALL; this means that the ADMIN user will be able to see all the sheets.
