Thank you for actually giving & explaining the code rather than just giving plugins. Out of curiosity, since it has been over a year since you posted this, is there a coding or elementor method that allows you to securely...even in inspector... hide content without a third party (membership) plugin?
This works perfectly!!! I couldn't get a similar piece of code to work so used the conditional logic for elementor plugin but that doesn't always work so I have to clear the cache every now and then to get it to work but this works, awesome! Cheers mate, one less plugin to use.
Dude you're amazing rockin it!! I don't like using plugins if I don't need to, I found out its the lazy way that will cost time and headaches in the long run.
Conditional content in elementor is almost a necessity. I use memberpress to accomplish this. But hey, if Elementor incorporated it into their pro version of their software, it would make it much more valuable.
I need a step further ... is it possible to conditionally LOAD content? Not just show or hide, but actually include or exclude a complete "Elementor Container" conditionally? I do not want certain things included in the html markup at all ...
Thanks Jeff. Great video!. Yes, would love to see conditions on page per element - based on classes, data, custom variables, logged in status etc. I imagine they're working on it...
I have a feeling conditions are in the works for Elementor. I’m seeing some of the other new builders adding these and Elementor has been paying attention to what we’ve been all asking for and what’s working for the new builders. It is much needed
hi jeffrey! tysm for the video, i just had a question. in the beginning i don't have the hello elementor child theme nor any child theme, could you tell me how can i obtain that type of theme?
It’s possible. The code would need to be adjusted. Try ChatGPT and asking to update the code for this. It’ll take a so,e trial and error but it’s a good place to start.
Awesome tutorial. Works well in Chrome but not Safari. Safari does not work with the "display:none" on elements as far as I can tell. I tried setting the opacity to zero, but that doesn't work either. Anyone know a workaround for Safari?
@@LytboxStudio I have other problems. I’m trying to use Ultimate Member registration forms in popups created with Elementor but popups were blank. The UM shortcode form in Elementor Popup not working right. They seem to have a tutorial website, but I don't understand where the java code is placed, can you help me? Thanks. ( RU-vid can’t have the link)
Aaah, I get it now. I was wondering why I don't see the option on the project I'm currently working on. I'mma use your approach. Thank you good sir for your great videos. I'm learning something useful with each one of them.
How should we proceed to add the PHP code using Code Snippet Plugin ? I don't use a child theme on my website, and it doesn(t work when using code snippet, I might do someting wrong.
Here is an idea. Can u teach how to use GSAP in Elementor? Maybe some content teaching landingpage animations would be great and there isn't much content about it It's just an idea if you are expertise in this matter.
@@LytboxStudio Good 😎I look forward to a video series of configuration tutorials applying GSAP with Elementor. I've seen some videos (but not with Elementor or in Wordpress) showing some examples of amazing websites. I've already searched for those keywords on youtube and even outside youtube and there is almost no one talking about it, teaching, showing examples, setting up beautifull loading the landing pages, the transitions, animations, etc. I think that if you are a specialist in the field you could distinguish yourself in the area and it would be an excellent content. 😀
Good points and I did mention in the video if there’s sensitive content/data and needs extra security then it’s better to use a membership or hide content type of plugin.
Frist of all I would like to thank you Jeffrey so much for your efforts and useful tutorials I used to see in this channel Would you please check what i try to do to make the container that we want to hide more secure and safe I made an inverse for every thing , the container will be normally hide so i add in its custom CSS : selector{ display:none; } then I changed and inverse the CSS classes to be show-logged-in / show-logged-out ( by this way we make sure that the container is normally invisible and if we put this CSS classes it will show according the logged in and out and also changed the Theme Custom CSS code to be inverse , and make the code to be display: inline for that requested input /* Logged in & out conditions */ .logged-in-condition .show-logged-in { display: inline !important; } .logged-out-condition .show-logged-out { display: inline !important; } Please check is this safe and i can use and don't worry about data I want to hide like prices and promotions or still have the same problem thank you so much
This works. But it is making the item disappear even in the Elementor area. Problematic for new users who may forget how to find the item, especially when only using just one status, either hide-logged-in or hide-logged-out, which really makes the item difficult to find - impossible to click on to edit and only find-able in the navigator dialogue. It would be awesome if it could still show in the Elementor edit area - maybe not hidden for logged in/out users with edit privileges.
Simple solution to ensure your content is always visible in the Elementor Editor is to adjust the CSS as follows .logged-in-condition .hide-logged-in, .logged-out-condition .hide-logged-out { display: none!important; } .elementor-editor-active.logged-in-condition .hide-logged-in, .elementor-editor-active.logged-out-condition .hide-logged-out { display: block!important; }
You’ll need to add a custom user role for someone purchasing a product. And then adjust the code. I use StudioCart and this gives the ability to add a user role to someone that purchase a specific product. There should be a way to do the same with Woo. Look for assigning a user role when purchasing a product in WooCommerce
True, conditions have taken a while to reach Elementor. They started adding them but will take time to reach a level where we don't need code snippets for more complex conditions
The problem with this approach is that it can easily be reversed using dev tools. For something that needs to be completely blocked, another approach may be necessary.
