Sad you were excommunicated from the church of "We'll tell you what to do with your own property and if you disobey we will smite you". Eco Base seems to be run like the empire. They look great and the display stand looks miles better with the new sticker.
Thanks Michael. Yes, it's a shame but there you go. I think the sticker is a great improvement but I do see where they are coming from. It's fine, I'm over it!🙂 Thanks for your continued support my friend👍
Great unboxing Jules! I too had a GW Acylic haul, 6 minirig boxes, 2 MOC cases, same Rebo Band and a smaller box for my Tri Logo Desert Skiff thing! They look the business and love looking at my collection more - just makes them pop.
Excellent vid Jules. I've purchased quite a few items from GW now, and the quality is always superb. They definitely make a huge difference to displaying vintage items. Sorry to hear of the further immature antics from Echo Base, but you're definitely better off out of it. These individuals are very odd indeed, and I suspect they aren't quite the full ticket. Stay safe my friend 👍
Thanks buddy! Yes, I'm loving these cases, definitely going to get more carded figures encased soon🙂 Yes, it's such a shame that I seem to have fallen out with Echo, maybe they should change their strict stance. I'm not alone, loads of people have been kicked out, it's fine, I'm over it🙂
Sorry to hear you were put under pressure by these Echo Base people... how elitist, bullying and childish, as my partner has just said “they need to take a look at themselves!”. You have a great collection Jules... It’s odd, I don’t really envy people for their money but there is a little green eyed monster on my shoulder when I see your Star Wars collection! I get a sick feeling every time you reveal how much you paid for something back in the day! Keep up the great work and don’t give it a seconds thought about those morons, surely you wouldn’t want to be part of a group that acted that way anyway, so no loss to you. Stay safe and look forward enviously to your next episode!
Thanks my friend, I really appreciate those comments. I'm totally over it now. I filmed this about a month ago when it was a bit fresher. Believe me, it was something I just really didn't think about. I bought the display stand simply for that, to have a customised display. It wasn't like I damaged a mint in box example, wouldn't dream of it. I've been told to wear my banning from Echo Base like a badge of honour! Hey, it's done now, I've put it behind me, Please don't be too jealous of what I paid for some of my collection. When I started you could still pick up new toys in the shops! Lots more great stuff to come😀
Jules Burt thanks for your reply! Totally agree on the Echo Base thing... much much bigger things to concentrate on at the moment! I think the envy comes from the pangs of remorse I feel about my own original collection which I sold for a pittance back in 1990... including a Yak Face - curiously he came from a bagged up load of figures my mom bought from Asda in 85/86. I still kept a Luke stormtrooper though so it wasn’t all bad, but some 60 odd figures went! Luckily I still have my Falcon and Xwing which were bought from a jumble sale in 85. We didn’t have much money at the time and they were my Xmas prezzies that year... still my favourite things for the long hours of enjoyment I had from them! Currently resurrecting a battered ywing to some form of its former glory... with repro stickers... god bless Toy Polloi. Best wishes Jules.
That's awesome. I remember those packs of 8 figures and turning them down, lol. Didn't like the packaging, or lack of it🙂 Boot sales used to be so good, the late 80's early 90's were just mental with what you could pick up. Good luck with the Y Wing, sound like a great project. Dave at Toy Polloi will guide you🙂
Thanks for that mate 👍 it's all a bit weird isn't it. As I've said before, there are plenty of other FB groups, I can keep in touch with important stuff that way.
Thanks my friend, it seems a few RU-vidrs are being targeted and banished by these people. Thankfully, it appears they are a tiny fraction of the collecting community and only interested in financial gain, rather than a love of the actual toys.
