Dispute between neighbors leaves 4 people dead, 2 critically hurt in Waianae Valley 

This is how it is in Hawaii: A person can trespass on your land, kill 3 innocent people, tries to ignite barrels of fuel…& if you kill the culprit to stop the rampage, you get arrested for murder! Talk about a screwed up system.

Attacking neighbor was ramming vehicles into neighbors home, had barrels of some kind of explosive, shot and killed several people, left others critically wounded, was shooting at flammable fuel. Neighbor under attack shoots and kills suspect while defending himself and others and is arrested for 2nd degree murder? Where is the logic in that. Get that man out of jail now!

So in Hawaii if you defend yourself you get arrested this state is so stupid

I live nanakuli my neighbors been bullying me for a couple years now, One day out of the blue they came by and blamed me for stealing their amazon package. Their brown pit keeps getting loose and attacked my dogs and me. They threaten me and call me names. They gonna keep it up its gonna be bad. They gonna FAFO. People do not have respect for others.

Unfortunately, people in Waianae taking care of business their way. Every week there is a death by gun or vehicular accident. The community is stressed out and families are living in fear. Seniors, be mindful of the early morning and late night hours you decide to drive at night. People with faster reflexes than you are on the streets. Young people, self protect yourselves & younger ohana members and set a curfew time for all to be at home. We gotta think smarter everyone and stay alive. Aloha and God Bless Everyon.

I’m so confused as to who the suspect is? Is it the tractor guy? Is it the homeowner/ tractor driver shooter defending himself? Who shot the 4 other people, the homeowner? I think it's a formality, you get arrested (for Christs sake you just shot someone) then they take you down for questioning. You don't have to be handcuffed unless you resist. Then you get to tell your side of of the story, the 2nd degree murder is just the arrest charge so they can legally bring you in. If you seem a danger they'll keep you longer. If you seem remorseful they'll get someone to verify your story which is usually still at the crime scene or from others (Family) who went to see you. If you seem and are stable they'll release you to your family. I've been arrested twice for reckless endangering in Kalihi Valley Kam 4th Housing for firing into the mountains, this was in the 70's. I got back all my arrest photos, documents, everything from HPD. But then this was a time when you could just go to any Firearm store and purchase anything. I brought my first shotgun, single barrel, breach lock, single load from Wool Worth's, I was 18 yrs old. Maybe the homeowner was smart and refused to talk to the police without a lawyer. Happened here in Oakland, CA and the police had to arrest and take the guy in because he took the 5th from the start at the scene. As soon as he got a lawyer he was out. Remember, whatever you say WILL be used against you incourt.

Surely the lady cop made a mistake about the arrest? They reported neighbor #1 started destroying property, then shot and killed 3 people. neighbor #2 (victim of property destruction and deadly violence) then shoots and kills neighbor #1 (the original aggressor) Either they are leaving something out (maybe the aggressor stopped shooting for some reason, then the victim shot him when he was no longer a threat?) or the lady cop made a mistake in her statement, or the police there are as corrupt as a DC politician. Where I live, if the story is accurate and they arrested the victim, the police would have to face an extreme gun battle with the entire neighborhood. We do not tolerate such injustice.
