As a former server at rainforest Café, I can say wholeheartedly that the drinks were designed to get people drunk enough to think of the animatronics looked really cool😂

Ahhh I’m so sad about you guys no longer doing The Affair recaps! I started watching for the first time because of you guys and I’m already on season 3. I can totally understand how it’s hard to discuss it (and probably harder for people who haven’t seen it to understand as well) but I feel like you guys would bring up small details that I missed!! Guess I’ll just have to do a rewatch right away when I finish. Thanks for talking about it though because I’m obsessed & have forced my friends to watch it with me lol
Yes same! I started watching the affair season 1 a long time ago and stopped watching but started again with these recaps and just finished the last episode last night. Maybe make a second episode just for those that like the recaps! It's like adult book club for TV shows lol

What the hell!!! Can you guys start a podcast just dedicated to rewatching The Affair then?! I was invested in that and I've already seen The Affair in its entirety, but I really enjoyed hearing your takes and going through each episode with you guys.
The way I felt alone when I finished watching the Affair in it’s entirety and didn’t know who to talk to about it 😂… Would love to go over some thoughts, cliffhangers, left story lines and the crazy last season with all its ups and downs with some critical, reasonable thinkers with emotional intelligence.

I liked The Affair recaps but what do I know. I'm GenX and the podcast name is pretty accurate billing so say tf you want, irl or otherwise. Lastly, Red Dye 40 is a great name for a band.
I love this pod so much! I just wanted to say, most all the comments I see are positive, I have never seen anyone saying those things, so please don't zero in on one or two negative comments when there's so many positive ones! Also I did get hooked on the Affair, but in hindsight, y'all were kind of doing more of a play by play which was just a summary of what I watched, no hot takes, so even as a watcher I am ok with y'all stopping it. Would love if y'all did twice a week episodes. Maybe some themed episodes? Like ghosts, finances in your 30s, dating in your 30s, first time with a woman, navigating difficult relationships with parents (Dayna I can totally relate) - could have special guests, like experts. Love y'all!
As a child of a family of 7, I can strongly say, when u have 8 kids and are doing 100 things a day, kids are being neglected and are raising each other. She is only one women.
Next time you're in Vegas go to Sam's Town. Its just outside of Vegas and if you love the rain forest cafe you'll love this super cheesy Casino resort. I know you love Fremont Street and this place is epic! Animatronic animals and cheap tacos and margaritas. It's a blast. A dive bar/ casino meets the ultimate in cheese. I loved it. It was cheap and a blast.

You can always negotiate your medical bills with a hospital. If that doesn't work, you can do a payment plan. I was sent a bill for going to the emergency room ($2000 with insurance) and I was able to talk them down to $900 and from there I did a payment plan (9 months) with no interest at all. My take on the Ballerina Farm is that the writer had an idea in her head about the situation and was too biased when going into it. She formed the narrative she wanted and I don't think she really portrayed the situation quite like it is.
I think that the journalist totally violated that family. We can have conversations about trad wives and religion and the societal pressures on the women in those communities without tearing down that family. There was no thought for the safety of the wife; imagine if her husband is actually extremely controlling and abusive.. all the yikes. I feel so bad for them.

35:09 well if you think about it, Botox is named after its contents which is botulism toxin... the reason that newborns and young infants cannot eat raw honey is because it has botulism break it down and absorb it properly/safely so it IS poisonous to THEM... but I would assume that as adults since we can eat all the honey in the world if we wanted to that getting a tiny amount injected under her skin wouldn't have that much of an effect on us... I'm too lazy but I'm guessing if I were to Google search what all contain spatulas and talks and there's probably several other foods and common items that we either ingest, wear or are constantly in contact with on a 24/7 basis or something...so...🤷♀️
