And here it is, the official "part 1" of my Dissecting Dimensions video series. Truth be told, I didn't think I was going to have this video out on time, but it looks like I managed to pull through regardless haha. This here is an in-depth look at all of the content that comes with the baseline starter pack that is absolutely necessary in order to play the game. In this video I show off everything that comes inside of the box, go over the 3 main characters, dive into the story, and cite the core gameplay elements that makes this game stand out amongst other typical Lego games.
Hope you guys are excited for this video series to continue now that it's finally off the ground! I realize it took me way longer than it should have to get the ball rolling on this, but the good news is that I have a game plan that I intend to stick to going forward. This game is one of my favorites. I have owned it since it came out and still haven't finished it. The story is amazing, the gameplay is fun (especially for a toys-to-life game), and it's always worth coming back to just to jam the Doctor into Aperture Science whilst driving Homer's car. Plus, the voice cast is amazing.

I am a huge fan of Lego Dimensions. Collected all characters and vehicles (not just the plates). I just wish we had gotten more Dimensions content

And to think I owe this game the credit for the inspiration that allowed me to start writing my magnum opis, a fanfiction now almost 7 years in the making, beginning release on WattPad starting March 25th. Shameless plug aside, I can't believe it's been so long since this game came out, and the fact that I owe my entire career path to it is honestly truly something special to me. This game truly is a shock, but a welcome one that I greatly look forward to continuing on through my spiritual successor story.

This is by far my favorite Lego Game. I got it as soon as it came out and only got 100% completion a couple weeks ago. Man this game takes a long time.

It's been so long since I played this game that somehow I remember how the end of Lego Jurassic world teased it better than actual Lego dimensions

@@turtleanton6539 if your talking about the ending I mentioned then what basically happens is after you do every world (or island I should say) there's an after credits scene shows that one guy from the first Jurassic park finds one of the portal piece things from Lego dimensions at that dig site then it glows after he finds it

2:11 yes the $80 minimum for the game on Wii U, stand alone ps4 copy, and nfc tags, then a free app on an android phone with nfc and boom 100%.

Love this game, took 7 years to buy all the characters. It takes around 6 months to complete the game. I know it inside and out. The hardest gold brick to obtain is the final sonic race in the sonic world It takes around 2 hours of trying to master it.

Your mention of Dimensions become harder to play makes me think about something I LOVE to think about. Is it possible to mod the game so it doesn't need the NFC tags, or even the Toy Pad at all? I mean it SEEMS possible, modders have done crazier things before, and I would LOVE to see it happen!

Good video just a couple of things Batman turns into the Lego movie version with different abilities such as gliding when in the Lego movie and Lego batman movie or with specific red bricks The batmobiles third rebuild has sonar smash Chima got minikits in the first foundation Prime level

One odd plot element that stands out in the story of Lego Dimensions are the Foundation elements. Like there are items that make sense like Ruby Slippers and the One Ring but then we have stuff like Kryptonite which is one of many of just one planet that's only note worthy facts about it are it blew up and superman was born there. Then we have stuff like cake which wasn't shown getting stolen from the portal room which implies Lord Vortech already got a cake so the portal adventure was kind of pointless. Then we have items that are given more of a spotlight then they are in there home series at best it's something like the ghost radar thing from Ghostbusters, at worse it's Chen's staff that isn't that important in the grand scale of Ninjago considering when the staff was destroyed he was able to act out his plans without the staff. So in conclusion Foundation elements are weird.

I'll give Chen's Staff this, it at least makes sense. It acts as a conduit for Elemental Powers which are the very core of Ninjago's world. Sure the Golden Weapons would be entirely more fitting, and have greater significance overall, but at this point in the series they were destroyed and the Golden Armour was who-knows-where so I commend the devs for thinking up another MacGuffin to use

@@slothoverlord4388 The thing is Chens staff was made from a crystal from a mountain which then brings us back to the kryptonite comparison. Some times I wish that the game would come out some time after season 5 because then we have more material to work with other that just Chen's Staff and Armor that we may or may not forget about.

@@slothoverlord4388 Theres also the fact that in the game Batman Wildestyle and Gandalf took the Cake from Gladdos so that Lord Vortech wouldn't get all of the Foundation Elements. The Cake along with the other Foundation Elements would later be stolen by the Bad Guys near the end of the game's story mode. Also its called Foundation Elements, not the Fountain Elements.

How do you do the vehicles with nfc tags, so do you need 3 different nfc tags for one vehicle that has different abilities or does it just work on one? I really need to know if someone can help
