My head canon is that her hair, the longer tail part, is actually detachable (yes, I know it's weird, but look at Changli) and the pin as well as the tube locks it in place, while her real actual hair is much shorter to suit her spy/assassin career.

Leave it to Ouro to spoiler jjk for me 😂 I think how her hair works is that the whole thing goes through the "tube", and folds to make the loop, and after going back in, she wraps it around the end of the loop (which explaisn why the "tube" is zizaggy, and not straight as a solid object would, meaning its a hair tie of sort, which also explains the need for the pin), and back out and she lets the rest fall. As for her being right heavy, I'd assume it's a practical reason as she controls her puppet mostly with *her* right, and wouldn't want, say the hair pin or earring or knot on her chest to get caught, but its just a guess
