Oh man you gotta try the Saber Edge next. For me, this one like you suddenly fight Steven or your final Gary, and Saber Edge? You fight Red, or just maybe Cynthia man
Now they just need to implement it into their games lol. I did think it was a game changer for video game music when I heard that in FE. I can't imagine it anymore without it.
13 was an amazing tech demo, but suffered from being *way* too linear among other playbility issues (paradigm availability, saving, side quests, etc.) . I'm replaying 13-2 and that by far is the best game in the series, and honestly I'd go so far as to say one of the best FF games period.
@Zaneu Well VerdantBlue I can understand. But olololololo wasn't really saying anything unnecessary. just that he'd preferred if the original one was in the game. lol
If she were in KH3 she'd just be abrasive but not an outright bitch, just kind of cold but of course with it being KH she's have this really sweet side she'll only show to certain people.
@Zaneu i dont know about extremely. i think it has a regular pace. but w.e its just my opinion you might just see the game more intensely or something.
@zexionfan15 since when does being recent void the right to remix? i'm not saying it's good or bad but they probably didn't wanna just leave it untampered since all the other main numbered battle themes were remixed too
lots of people are like "this is shit". Am I missing something here? Where is the part where this sounds sooo bad? All that was added was a fast techno beat...it suits Dissidia - puts more energy into the already excellent orchestration.
FFVI being as unpopular as it was aside, VII got Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerberus, the one that came out on the phone focused on the Agents, several guest appearances in other FF games and it's own movie so technically, that particular portion doesn't count. FFXIII did disappoint a bit, true, but it's no reason to diss on the games or call it poor~quality. But then, some people can never be pleased.
I dont think they'll change her personality if she's included in the game since her personality is similar to Clouds. She'll probably end up being less abusive towards others
She's too badass for Kingdom Hearts games. And I agree. If they were to put her in one someday, they would have to heavily alter or even ruin her character to have her fit in
I... genuinely forgot about all the VII follow ups, because none of them actually had you playing as any of the original cast (which technically Vincent isn't part of since he's an optional character, like Yuffie).
I agree on the story, but less so on the gameplay - I dislike how little customization is possible, until your first Espers are obtained. And even then, to have good customization, you pretty much need to take great pains to not gain levels unless absolutely necessary, a la KOTOR I/II (which ironically came out 9 years later).
It sold well enough to make 2 sequels... but FFVI and VII did not? And X did also? I didn't like XIII, because I did find it linear, and I wasn't a fan of the combat. The story was also a little confusing for me. I loved XII comparatively, however. But no one should ever deny that all of the Final Fantasy games have enjoyed the best graphics and the very best in music, hands down. I love Lightning, and I love her theme. Gamers will complain because they're entitled, that's all there is to it.
@daviddaaannggg Well, the recent songs have the same quality. Doesn't VOID the right to remix, but it's not as necessary. Look at Dissidia one, almost every song from FFX wasn't remixed, and NONE of the FFXI or FFXII songs were (and the FFXI still isn't in Duodecim). Now tell me why they felt a need to remix a song from a game MORE RECENT than the ones they DIDN'T REMIX last time.
@undead50 You're not going o get yelled at, but I'm going to say that hollow bastion's music sounds nothing like this. Hollow Bastion's. Scherzo di Notte has a much lower tempo, and doesn't really sound like a modern tehnoesque orchestral remix.
Jin Kazama appeared for the first time in Tekken 3 on summer 1997, Siegfried on december 1996 ... Cloud appeared on january 1997 ... Do you think Cloud is a copy of the other two ?
I love the 12 battle system, it was not for everyone though. I'll have to admit though I didn't care much for any of the characters other than Balthier... and the plot was mediocre... and the soundtrack was mostly forgettable... but it was still a fun game! =)
I can hardly see how this is a poor-quality game... there are PLENTY of poor-quality games out there. The graphics at time were of highest end, the battle system, was while flawed, still very intuitive, and much better than the garbage 12 had, had a great score, and a few memorable characters. Yes it was extremely linear, but I don't see how that makes it poor-quality. It just makes it boring to some. Boring =/= poor quality. It obviously sold well enough to make 2 sequels.
You're entitled to your opinion, but Final Fantasy is dissapointing. The other FF's had more....well...there was more to it than what 13 had. It's hard to explain, especially coming from a guy who barely knows the franchizes. You'd have to be a hardcore fan of all genre's to understand why people don't like 13.
Nah, Squall is pathetic, Sephiroth, very unimpressive, Cloud? Meh, he's ok, to say he's just Jin Kazama and SC's Siegfried combined, with some memory mix-up bullshit.
It sounds.... awful. The violin part feels like it just randomly jumps in (and sounds a little flat and off tune to me with the background beat) and the just cuts out. It doesn't fit well with the fast paced remix IMHO. I guess I'm so used to the original version of this song I just can't bare to listen to this remixed version.
Actually sales of Final Fantasy in general have been falling rapidly since FFXIII. In my opinion, this one song is the only good thing about that game or it's garbage sequels. But that's just my opinion, what isn't my opinion is that FFXIII made a lot of people stop liking Final Fantasy.
