The ending was very telling about his sense of self-worth. The only thing he values is what other people think of him. It's not even about the things he has. He looked so conflicted when the Judge read those texts. He probably felt vulnerable and scared that the truth was coming out. But all his mind was telling him to do was "lie some more."

My nephew is a young man who has a young wife, he WAS a school teacher in HS. they BOTH do not have kids and I think I know the reason.....they love each other BUT why have kids when if you are going to raise them the BEST YOU CAN, yet....they listen to their peers and end up being defensive on you as a parent.. The best thing is, forget kids.

I would never, ever, think about asking a girl, or girlfriend, to buy me something I couldn't get for myself. And I wouldn't buy it for them on the premise of paying me back ; it would be a gift or no. These guys are really something.
I agree! What this world needs is way more male chauvinism. There's just not enough. Back in the day, when men were more chauvinistic, life was better. Women knew who they were, and men told them so.
