@denyslave i don't know why but the file is not working on my blender3.5, also you're node groups "sim_bkp(nr)" are not linked by default (there are instead many undefined nodes) any solutions? maybe this happened to other people also
@@arcangeel4828 Hey, sorry for that. I've just updated the file at gumroad. Just make sure to open it with the latest 3.6 'Geometry Nodes Simulation' experimental branch. Thanks for the report. And let me know if it's still not working.
Get the file here: dnslv.gumroad.com/l/liquify_geometrynodes At the moment, make sure to open it with the latest 3.6 alpha branch, which includes the simulation nodes.
beautiful effect! is there any way to slow it down? I tried to the best of my abilities, but then the effect gets very ''jumpy"', not at all smooth but very step by step... must be a better way...? also the pattern of the effect is way too small scale for my scene, but can't figure out how to change it...? thanks a lot it's a beautiful effect!
Thank you! So yeah, this started as just a test, so I ended up not doing it with scalability in mind. But I'll try to update the file, exposing some parameters to make it easier to customize adapt to other scenes. In fact this file is so old that even I am not sure if I can understand it anymore xD
Hey, thanks! Sorry, but probably not due to the nature of this simulation. It's just chaos that goes only forward! xD But I suspect you could export it as an Alembic sequence and then play it in reverse, not really sure, though.
If I want to apply this to an object how do I go about that ? Copy and paste the dissolve simulation into that geometry node or is it within that i need to change stuff ?
@@HiddenPufferfish01928 Oh, that's ok! 😄 I was getting worried someone could have stole it from me. 😨 I mean, if it's possible to steal something that's for free, anyway. 😂
Hello, I downloaded the file, but it does not show the simulation like this, the camera shows its movement, but when the monkey jumps, the water is not visible.
@dnslv, man, nice stuff. Love it, tell me please,is it possible maybe to use same logic for smoke. I try to find smart way to do burning out smoke from the car tires, and can't imagine how
Hey!.. This probrably means you are not using a version of blender with simulation nodes included. Try it with the latest Blender 3.6 alpha and let me know if it helped
Hello! Thank you so much for the file. :) Which blender version were you using while making this? There are two undefined nodes that are not readable in blender 3.4/3.5/3.6. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
@@dnslv_ Hey, one more question. I was trying to implement this effect on a different file by appending the nodes and material - but there the object does not vanish, everything else is fine. And but inside the original file, if I make a new object - then the effect happens perfectly. Is there a file setting I'm missing?
@@zephyravery702 Have you check if the outputs/inputs of the simulation nodes are still connected? Sometimes they disconnect when changing the blender version
@@dnslv_ Yeah, I did that. what I had missed was this - I had to reconnect the material inside geometry nodes because the material is driving the transparency.
