If the distance-time graph is a straight line, it indicates that the object is moving at a constant speed. However, if the speed of the object keeps changing, the graph can be of any other shape.
The distance moved by an object in a unit of time is called its speed. The speed of objects helps us to decide which one is moving faster than the other. The speed of an object is the distance traveled divided by the time taken to cover that distance. Its basic unit is metres per second (m/s).
