Apologies, I rarely record video during moments when I want to be completely present for so I barely looked at the screen and it stopped recording as my hand brushed it. My hands were shaking, almost uncontrollably during the organist solo and forgive my audible sniffing back tears; I've been waiting half my life for a chance to see this performed by Distant Worlds, and I still feel like I'm dreaming.

Although this isn't a complete recording, I zoomed in for the organist's solo - it's phenomenal seeing his feet work the pipe organ. Stunning. ...and as an added bonus, pay attention to the choir member with the floppy hair just to the right of the top of the harpist: THEY ARE HAVING A MOMENT, and I appreciate them SO MUCH FOR it! Makes me feel even more connected to the performers, the music, and the shared experience.

Thanks for recording this...i was at the recent carnegie hall performance last month but i didnt record it( didnt want to get kicked out of the show)

I was there on July 7 which was my 2nd time going (the first being January 20, 2024 which happened to be the day before my birthday). I freaked out when I heard the conductor announce Dancing Mad. When he said "A Suite from Final Fantasy VI", I thought he was referring to The Opera from the same game. Final Fantasy VI not only is my favorite Final Fantasy game, it's my favorite video game of all time so...getting to hear Dancing Mad live gave me such a high feeling of joy. Also, all the Soken material played was damn good especially with FF16, and Amanda Achen was incredible.

I KNEW it was on the program, when I was researching the upcoming tour and saw it as a performance highlight for the seattle shows. what I DIDN'T realize is that they're only doing Dancing Mad at a few select venues (with an organ like Benaroya's) so we were INCREDIBLY fortunate to experience it on this tour. Amanda Achen brought me to tears, she was otherworldly. Distant worlds is such a great experience, it's awesome thinking of every one else in the theater radiating that same joy and awe and delight.
