Distillery Corner: Tamdhu 

Tamdhu is the talking point in this week’s Distillery Corner. The rich Speyside distillery is known for all its single malt being matured in ex-sherry casks. Vic says: “A lot of people think a sherry cask is just a sherry cask, but they can be made from different types of oak. While this is normally European oak, it can also be American oak and that gives the whisky a different flavour profile. The way they combine their casks just makes a fantastic whisky.”
