Welcome to this series exploring each of the Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Ink & Oxide colours and discovering colour combinations and ink blending techniques with each.
This tutorial is looking at Mustard Seed, what I would call a ’primary’ yellow!

Lou, I stumbled on your channel as I was purchasing the distress oxide inks. I already owned the complete set of Distress inks and didn't think I needed this set until I was crafting with a friend who had the oxides and I couldn't believe how beautifully they blended. I purchased a swatch chart from someone else for the distress inks and was looking for a swatch chart for the oxides when I found your channel. Not only the swatch charts but also the ink labels for FREE!! I filled them in as I purchased and then discovered your blending combinations playlist! The angels started singing!! I love creating but have a very tuff time with color combos. This series has been a GOD send for my creativity!! Thank you so much!!!!I do have one request the colors you have listed under more is not always correct or in order. I like to have all my labeling done before I start to swatch. That way when I get interrupted I know what and where I am in this endeavor. So usually I have to fast forward the video to see the color names and then go back and watch as I swatch. Just a helpful hint. Im your loyal Fan!

Loved these combinations. The 1st of the 3 colour blend was very autumnal & good for masculine cards. The 2nd of the 3 colour mix's was beautiful & very tropical looking. The 4 colour blend would be good for a moody seascape as well as masculine stuff. Loving this series very much... was funny when the cat just strolled right accross your work lol thank you Lou x

I'd say pastels vs primary, plus colours that men tend to wear could be seen as masculine, so brown, dark blue, greys etc.

Yep, she. Her name is Maisey. She is part rag-doll, part local Tom cat. I like to call him Romeo 😂 🐈 There were two litters from the white rag doll mum and ginger Romeo, and both had ginger girls in.

@LouCollins wow, two is even more unusual 🙂 she's very cute (the bit of her we saw!) I had a cream (light ginger) mackerel tabby girl who was very fear aggressive (the vet suspected prior abuse) and it took us a couple of years to gain her trust. Sadly we didn't have her very long as she had lymphoma. I have Stripey👖 here (avatar) - aka Dennis the Menace in Fur - now, who is wild born but very friendly.
