👏 such a simple clever idea to put a piece of cardstock under the gelli plate....I am building myself up to get started on my plate...watching lots of tutorials....soooo excited 😁
Just start! Throw whatever you have on it and see what happens 😃 Use inexpensive copy paper at first and just PLAY!! Now, off you go create and let me know when you made your first prints 😘💕
Thank you 🤗 You just need to start! Grab your gelprinting plate, ink, paint or whatever and just start to put on some paint, make marks, use a stencil for some pattern and just play. Use unexpensive copypaper in the beginning. You'll learn while doing 👍 I have a few videos of gelprinting in one of my playlists.
These are beautiful. I am amazed how the prints are sooo vibrant when it looks as though there is hardly any ink on the jelly plate. Amazing and pretty cool.
Truly amazing!! I have watched a lot of gelli plate techniques but yours blew me away so much I just had to subscribe and ring your bell. Thank you you are incredible 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Thank you your prints are beautiful I have some oxide paint and I also got a gelli plate for my birthday 🎂 in October and I wanted one so much but I haven’t even gotten it out to play. You have really inspired me to start I just didn’t know how to begin thank you 👍🏻👏🏻🤗
Have fun experimenting and creating! I have a few other videos with gelli printing, and make sure to check the Gelli Arts and Gel Press channels for awesome inspiration 💕
Hi these do look so lovely but I am a little confused about why you would not do the stamping direct to your paper? Does it look very different this way and if so how? Thank you for sharing your talent and skill 😘
Lolli Lulu Crafts Of course you can apply the Oxides and stamp directly on the paper 😊 But if you have a gel printing plate it's fun to see how different mediums work. A print looks a little different from if you would do it directly I think. This was just a fun experiment for me 😊 By stamping on the plate gives you a mirrored image of the stamp. You can then stamp directly on your printed background and get the mirror effect.
Minas kreativa oh thank you so much for explaining, I knew that there must be a reason but couldn’t really work it out so appreciate you taking the time to explain 😉
Donna Cerny Of course not :) I was just experimenting how the Oxides would work on the plate. The plate is great if you want to mirror a stamped image for example. And, I like the look of a printed paper. But I agree- you don't have to buy a plate to use your oxides. But if you do own a plate, it's a nice way to have a slightly different look by making a print :)
Nice! Please tell me on to what kind of paper are you applying the ink? And are you using that same kind of paper when you pull the print off? Thank you
I apply the ink onto a gelprinting plate. The white paper is underneath the gelprinting plate as a guide to where to apply the ink. I use watercolour paper and mixed media paper 😊
@@MelinaDahlDesign AAAHHH! Ok. It makes sense now. I love the idea of the guide paper under the gel plate. I would not have thought of that. Thank you for responding to my question.
I visited rubber dance but could not get past the Christmas sale to order any other stamps how are you supposed to find these stamps that they are showing in the inspiration section
Hi Diane! I guess you must choose "shop" in the menu. Then you should have all the stamps 😊 If you still have problems let me know and I will make Susanne, the owner of Rubber Dance, contact you.
So Basically, You're Using The Gelli Plate As A Craft Mat....Hmmm...Not Sure What I Think About That...Was Really Looking Forward To Some ACTUAL Distress Oxide Used With The Geli Plate... Does It STAIN The G. Plate? Have You TRIED IT?
Not really sure what you mean? Have you watched the video? The white square in the middle of the plate is under the plate... as a guide where to put the oxides so it will fit on the paper I pick up the print on. Yes, I have tried it, it's me putting oxides ON the plate. No, I don't think the plate gets stained. Hope this answered your questions 😊
Ahhhhhh. I Get It Now.... Thank You For Explaining It To Me. Yes, I Watched The Video...But I WAS Sorting Some "ART Stuff", So My Attention Was Divided. Sorry. You Are A Lovely Person...I'm Subscribing.
I've used my Distress Inks on the Gel plate, but haven't played with my Distress Oxide Inks on the plate yet. Thanks for the idea!! What is the product you use on your acrylic block to stick the unmounted stamps to it?
Hi! Thank you for reaching out. I really don't understand what you mean here 🤔 I inked and stamped on the plate and made prints on my papers. Just as you would apply acrylic paint and take the print.
