Distress Spray Inks + Stencils

I'm sharing a little bit about how I like to use Distress Oxide Spray Ink and Distress Stain Spray Ink with stencils. The stencil in this video is called "Rows of Lines," and it's one of my new 2021 designs for The Crafter's Workshop.
I don't spray in a box and I don't worry about it getting everywhere because I work on top of a big piece of paper. Also, remember that all Distress products are all water reactive. This means that even after they are dry, they can be re-activated. They tend to drift up through other mediums that are layered onto them, such as the modeling paste I used in the video.

Yes life is too short to clean your stencils!😂😂. TFS. I don’t have any distress oxides no storage room for them but I have many of the original ones. 🤗 Kay

1) Loving the rainbows on some of the pieces. 🙂🏳️‍🌈 2) Don’t know why, but ink sprays seem so intimidating. Gotta jump in and try ‘em at some point I guess.

I don’t have any of these inks…but I do have every color of Ecoline watercolors - which are dye based…so I am hoping I can use them in a similar fashion. I know when the Ecoline gets on my hands, it takes FOREVER to get off. I find I rarely use the Ecoline so fingers crossed, my idea will work. I need to find where you sell your stencils. Thanks for a great tutorial!!

I'm just now finishing up my Distress spray collection, the stuff you just created is the type of thing I want to make... Have you seen the Distress Halloween collection? I watched the Tim Holtz Live yesterday and the sprays are ah-maze-balls. They're Mica Sprays in six colors (there's a couple of new pastes and glitters too, but those sprays are everything) - it's colored mica in a colored ink suspension, unlike the traditional mica sprays where the mica is in a clear suspension. Watch the video, it was so amazing I even paid full price AND shipping 😋. They're a limited release, one and done thing, just FYI.

HELP please...I have just purchased your mask HEARTFELT FLOWER 12 x 12...now I want to use the whole of the mask to do a large project using stencil butter.....is there an easy way of doing the edges perfectly 🤔....I can't get my head around using masks because the butter goes over onto the background...stencils are OK don't have a problem with them....unfortunately I am a neat freak...wish I was more like you and go with the flow....instead of striving for perfection...never mind it wouldn't do if we were all the same...thanks Jane North Wales UK 😀....x

I am also a perfectionist. I'm simply in recovery. ;) To not go over the edges of the mask, you'd have to tape them.
