I never knew you could distress papers like that, never seen it before, so thank you so much for sharing, will definately try this one out! Glad you are feeling better, thank you for sharing and for the inspiration, take care x
This is absolutely BRILLIANT 🤯 what a fantastic way to use up free materials that would end up in the land fill. And an equally fantastic way to use the many stencils I already own. This technique allows our ART to be uniquely our own. BRILLIANT❣️
Dear Kylie, I hope you are feeling better and taking good care of yourself! Wonderful video this week as this is such a fun way to use those magazines and stencils to make more of our marks! Thank you for sharing this with us! 🙏💕🎨
Thank you so much Kylie, I really really enjoyed watching you distress those paper’s, I really really love ❤️ how they turned, and it’s really really clever too. I’m going to try this out, because it’s a really really awesome way to make unique pieces for collage. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
What a great way to mark make and distress those pieces... Might have to give this a go... Love the writing stencil 😁❤️🌼 Glad you are feeling much better 😘🌹
Glad you’re back Kylie! Thanks for the reminder to distress those pieces of magazine that may not stand alone as images! Your collage pieces look interesting and fun to use, thank you!💕🇨🇦
This is an excellent technique and such a good way to use magazine pages!!! I have seen you do this before, but don’t remember to use it enough in my art projects. This will need to go in my daily journal as a technique to return to soon!!!! I don’t do pick ten prompts, but I have been thinking of making cards for things I see others do that I rarely remember. For instance, I love it when people use splatters, but rarely remember to do that!!! Rest that voice!!! Have an awesome week! Be well!!!! 🙏💞🌷
I love mark making and this is another way to do that. So cool. I have quite a few pieces of National Geographic papers distressed with Citrasolv and this technique would make them even more interesting.
I’ve never seen this technique before, it’s so effective and the results are really unique. Thank you for showing us Kylie. I hope you are soon well again xxx
The universe is telling me something. I just recently found a bag (from two years ago) that had bits and pieces in it. They were similar in fashion to what you did today. (Shel C had done this) It was during a time when my husband had been in and out of the hospital several times. Thanks for sharing and getting me motivated. Glad you’re feeling better.
Thank you sooooooo much for sharing this wonderful technique, Kylie!! I have never seen it done before... and I can't wait to try it myself! I would also love to see how you use them in a collage 😊. This is such a great series! Thanks again for the inspiration!! xo 🤗💕
oh goodness lol - i remember doing this years ago and have forgotten about this technique - time to go thru my magazines and have some fun - thank you Kylie - love your papers!! be well 🤗
What a brilliant way to distress images Kylie!!! I absolutely need to try this (I have a plethora of stencils and of course my favorites are from PM- which I think would work well due to their thickness!) You always give me inspiration- thank you so much! 🥰
Such a wonderful technique, Kylie! I have been using images from seed catalogs - and I'm curious to experiment with this distress method. What fun! Thanks for your ideas and inspiration! Please care well for yourself, ok?
Ohh what a brilliant idea! It's the same concept as paper and pencil drawing over a relief coin or eg embossing folders, which I love. I will try this for sure, have used sandpaper but without the pattern underneath. Thanks Kylie! And I made your little journals from a recent vid you posted, really enjoyed that 😍
