Hello mate, only discovered your channel last night and have watched several videos thus far. I really love the post Apocalyptic aesthetic and I'd never really thought or imagined the countless different possibilities until viewing your videos. So many varied imaginable scenarios which can influence your choice of post Apocalyptic aesthetic such as time frame whether modern or future, zombie apocalypse, nuclear war, Alien invasion, etc etc. I find this topic fascinating 👍🏻
I actually run a costume business on Etsy, but I primarily to Made to Order listings. I only have extra pirate sashes in stock because I can make a run of 6 sashes from one 4 yard cut of fabric. Otherwise, everything else is Made to Order, or Custom Orders 😉.
As far as wear and usage goes. Is there a way to simulate ground in 'human greasy residue'? Like around collars and cuffs where the clothing has been worn and sweated in and unwashed for months or years and stained from constant contact with unwashed human skin?
ew! also yes! also this is a topic for another video, too late for detailed answer in this one sorry :) but for fatty effects, which is similar to what you asked, i normally use beeswax that is normally used for leather jackets (obv. dont use it if you or someone close to you have an allergy against it). there are also other alternatives that i havent explored much yet.
I once spilled linseed oil on my pants. Permanently stained even after washing. It's potentially flammable so wouldn't recommend it, but it looks like sweat.
