Welcome to GE's Solution Video Series. In this episode, we’ll provide an introduction to the Mark VIe DCS solution. A DCS or Distributed Control System is the supervisory control system for high level control for a process or plant. The Mark VIe DCS typically plays this role at a power plant that also uses GE turbines or GE generators, that are also using the Mark VIe as their control system. Some typical power plant assets that use the Mark VIe control system are show here, along with a Mark VIe DCS that may perform supervisory control for the entire system. The Mark VIe control system simplifies plant-wide control by providing a single plant control for the most expensive assets, enabling a comprehensive, connected plant automation solution.
