A huge problem I have these days is, I don't even have any idea how to find good music anymore. There's so much slop, so much insanity, and everyone fighting to get their stuff in front of people, it's like an infinite crab bucket of songs with no way to find or parse the good from the mid from the bad. Frankly it's hard to find anything real or genuine anymore at all. Everything is so... programmed and fake. Even lyrics, styles. Everything. Fake and gay.
don't know if this helps but I have a book called "1001 albums you should hear before you die" or sth similar, and I used to go through an album (or at least the top songs off it) a day. Not all of them did I consider good but I started listening to a few artists because of it
I have a similar problem as well. Most music post 2019 feel like they are retreads of previous eras of music but not as interesting. Anything I stumble upon these days are usually groups that have been around for a decade and older (mostly older).
It’s so obvious that Dave would rather talk about culture but noooo, you people would rather watch him defending imaginary legislation that he made up in 15 minutes and has 0 chance of ever being implemented.
The caste system seems largely inevitable in hindu culture. Brahmins having more European admixture which I assume was even more stark the further back in their history you go. Religion is important but I don't see it as a fundamental force since it always seems to be downstream of blood / spirit
I make similar arguments, because I look at Japan and South Korea. They manage to have a non Idiocracy. Most take some eastern religion. I joke about why those places aren't stone age dumps.
