Who says they sold out? 😂😂😂 because they have toned down a bit since asylum? Fuck them they clearly don't remember when David was having problems with his throat and vocal chords. They didn't sell out at all david will do anything he can to keep putting out this wonderful music. We listen to his music because of the lyrics and sound and obviously he has an outstanding voice! He'll the heavy metal days are over for me. I can keep growing with their music. I still listen to their older music but I absolutely love what they put out today!

I lost my son 2 years ago. His favourite song was The Sound of Silence. He went to see Disturbed and the song moved him to tears. Last night my daughter Googled it and this came up instead. My husband I met when I was 16 and am now 67, is still with me but has Alzheimer's and, in a way, is no longer with me. I had not heard this song until today and it made me realise I have many memories but I still have to live again. He may be with me for many years yet, but I need to find my own life too and it will be no disrespect to him, who doesn't remember me. I am crying. I have no doubt, when the time comes, if he leaves before me, I won't cry then.

I know it hurts like no other hurt in this entire world, and some days it's so hard to get out of bed, and even put one foot in front of the other. I've lost loved ones, and I have found a way to go, because of my kids, and I know that one day, we will all be together again with the ones that we love. There's days that feel like it just happened, and some days feel like it was long ago. The pain is still here, and the love for that person doesn't ever go away. I only heard about your band 5 days ago. I must have listened to The Sound of Silence over 20 times in that short space of time. I am an 80 year old Military Special Ops veteran, having served for 32 years. Just before Christmas, I was diagnosed with Terminal Cancer and given 6 months to live. I have been saying my goodbyes and tonight something incredibly spooky happened. A Middle Eastern friend that I had not seen for over 30 years phoned me. After saying our farewells, he said “Before you go to sleep tonight, I want you to listen to a group that I have only found recently, but there music is so powerful and healing - they are called Disturbed and this is the track that epitomises our friendship.”. It gave me a feeling like I have never had before - THANK YOU and GOD BLESS

I think this album was more about the theme of mental health after losing some many friends of the previous few year from suicide, and addiction. To me, it is a very personal album. It makes me remember those that have gone away. It also gives me hope about my own fight with addiction and mental health.

No, when you lose a loved one, and I lost my soulmate, there is nothing that nobody can say, or do to make me feel better, but as it is in my human nature her to try to ease somebody else’s pain, I try End it is not something that I do always. I lost my son a couple months ago. He had major problems from the start. We spent 4 months at the children’s hospital before we got to come home. We got to spend the most beautiful 2 years of our life together at home where he belonged. I was thinking about him all day and on the way home I turned on the radio and they said some new disturbed was coming on. I’m so glad I didn’t not change the station. my condolences but this band, Linkin Park, and Three Days Grace helped me some what get myself out of bed when I lost the woman I loved with every fiber of my body and our unborn twins. I lost my dad just over a week ago. Since then, I wake up every morning, tell my dad that I love him and miss him. This morning I woke up to go to work and I did my new routine. I woke up, got ready for work, told my dad that I love him and miss him , I got in my truck and turned on my pandora....this song comes on. The lyrics spoke to me almost as if it was my dad telling me "I'm ok, I'm good, just hold on to the memories". I know there's tons of healing in the days ahead, but this song played a big part to accepting my dads passing. Thanks to Disturbed for this amazing song. I *LOVE* it when a band/artist kills it with a song that's a totally different style to what they're generally known for. As much as I enjoy the more metal songs they've produced, I greatly enjoy a 'moment to breathe' provided by a more gentle song like this one, from the same band/artist. My son is 17 and had a fatal car accident on Sunday, May 12, 2024. A friend sent me this song and it warmed my heart and brought tears. I love how this song isn't just about one person that someone lost; it's about the people we've all lost, and reminds us that the best way to keep them alive in our hearts is to remember the good times we spent with them, and that we don't have forever with the ones we still have. I’m a paramedic and 5 years ago I had to cut my best friend of over 20 years down after lost his internal battles. Worst day of my life. When this song was released and the first time I heard it i bawled my eyes out with so much repressed emotion from that day. I can honestly say this song and disturbed saved my life with this song. I miss them everyday, but the best way to push through is to have a supporting group of friends you can rely on. Wether it be a church group, a team member, a teacher, or any other sort of person you can confide in during your darkest times. this song hits different.. i lost my grandfather very suddenly last year to cancer. by the time he went to the doctor for stroke-like symptoms, the lung cancer had metastasized in his brain. growing up, your parents/grand parents seem invincible and to watch this man who had been my hero my whole life succumb to something like that was unreal. we just made it through all the firsts.. christmas, thanksgiving, birthdays... they leave a void when they go that will always hurt but you also take them with you in life. the lessons they taught you, the memories you made with them.. and it makes it a little more bearable as time goes.. to everyone i this thread/comment section, much love y'all. we make them proud every day by being the best we can be for them.

We thought we were ready for him to go, and we told him as much. He went surrounded by family, in my arms. But when the time came, I begged him to stay. This album was more about the theme of mental health after losing some many friends of the previous few year from suicide, and addiction. To me, it is a very personal album. It makes me remember those that have gone away. It also gives me hope about my own fight with addiction and mental health. I post it every time I lose someone and sometimes I post it when I am in the throughs of my own fight.

As I listen to this uplifting magical choice of poetic lyrics and music, sadness and tears come to me unbidden. Reminds of the amazing time with my mother and all she sacrificed to raise me and my brother and sisters. She lost her husband the day before the birth of my brother, but still soldiered on through poverty and raised us to be upstanding citizens, like her. I lost my children some years ago and my mom a year ago New years eve. I lost my man 8 months ago. The past 3 years of loss and pain. I cry because I miss them and laugh at the memories. Thank you all involved with this beautiful healing song. It was sung by a voice of an angel that touched my soul and saved my life. ❤️❤️

I lost my eye in an accident, a few days before Thanksgiving of 2015. I was 17. On my way back from the hospital I heard the song The Light by Disturbed. I never heard of Disturbed prior, they sing very good songs. That one and this one are among my favorites. " Sometimes Darkness Can Show You The Light "

I went to my Dr for help and she ignored me and then proceeded to hurt me physically and mentally. All the while the man is being protected because he knows all the police! Another man? No thanks Hun. My man is the last love I'll have in my life.

I love this song. I lost my dad 2 years ago due to COVID. Before my dad passed from COVID, we learned that he was diagnosed with cancer, again. The prognosis was grim as his immune system was weak. Growing up, we didn't have a lot of money to do things as a whole family. Before my dad lost his battle with COVID and cancer, I got a job at a local theme park and was provided enough tickets to take my whole family. We all went to this theme park to have fun as a family. Little did we know this would be the last greatest memory with him. He absolutely loved this day, even though he didn't feel like being there because the weight of cancer was holding him back. Hold on to the memories! They mean everything! I miss him.

Hey I know what you're going through. I'm blind and I had to make the awful decision to put my beautiful Guide Dog Lauren to sleep. Lauren had cancer, 4 operations, chemotherapy and steroid treatment. Lauren was only 7 years old and she was my best friend. So yes, do as this songs says, hold on to memories. Make memories, tell the people in your life that you love them, too late when they are gone. I told Lauren every day how much I love her. My parents are gone, my brother is gone, but I told them I loved them and now I hold on to memories. Please remember that Love Never Dies and your dog lives on in your heart forever.

My Dad just passed yesterday. I came to listen to The Sound of Silence as it was one of his favorite songs. I randomly hit on this one. I think it was ment to be at this moment ❤️ My dad was always positive, giving words of encouragement and we loved to talk about all the good memories ❤️ I felt like this was him talking to me ❤️

I lost my 10 year old little girl to cancer about a month ago and this song makes me think of her every time. So many days I feel like I just can't go on anymore. But then I think I have to go on for her and make sure everyone remembers her forever.

This song Hold On To Memories by Disturb had given me the ability to heal from the death of my husband. My husband was a fan of this band for some time now. I was not into this band but after hearing this song I new I would survive. I listen to this song every evening and I have moved back to Panama City Beach where we lived and where I lost my husband in a motorcycle accident. Thank you . It’s the little things that help people that some people don’t realize

This is the second song by these guys that has impacted me at my core! The sound of silence got a hold of me too. I love this band just because of the powerful music they sing/play. There's plenty of other reasons to love them that back this one tho. They really have touched my soul with their music. I wish I could meet them, not for autographs, not to party with them, but rather to just sit and tell them what each songs first listen to was like for me. This is the reason bands exist, to reach us. These guys surprised me with their undeniable ability to snatch my emotions from the depths of my heart and soul and pull them right up to the surface in me! I will never be the same after hearing both of these songs. I love all kinds of music, many genres. I sing all kinds of music myself and I took dance lessons so I even love disco. These guys got inside of me to a place that in my 52 yrs of listening to and loving music, NO OTHER BAND OR SONG HAS BEEN ABLE TO HAVE THIS LEVEL OF IMPACT ON MY LIFE.
