Sometimes pride makes one lose even low hanging fruits. Imagine Raila in meetings with EU commission leaders, Arab League, ASEAN. If EU was interested in meaningful meetings with Raila, they would not have opposed him for the presidency. Think about what you are saying. From what I hear, the west also controls the AU, so do you think they would be sending Raila to AU to make him useful to Africans? More like to let him pass time. I just watched a guy who went to the most recent AU meeting and talked about how much it came across as a waste of time because none of the challenges that are of greatest need to Africa were discussed. No discussion of DRC, Sudan, etc. Looks like AU is a CV buster. No wonder I did see a headline (not sure if it was true) that SA may leave the AU.

Join the mess called Azimio? Azimio should be disbanded if they want to beat Ruto. Ruto is ahead of the curve for 2027 and will stand under one party again, not a confused coalition. Kalonzo will not succeed if he is making unrealistic,shaky deals with odm, jubilee, etc. They have to fold and form one party with a clear chain of command and structures.

Except Tanzanian, most African countries gained independence and were founded and run like supermarkets and kiosks by politically dead leaders. The people, to date, are equally politically innocent. A Tanzanian primary school pupil is more politically awake than some political scientists elsewhere.
Why wouldn't the USA and Britain have the same fears with Raila in the AU (which is a bigger space)as they have had with him being the kenyan president? I think this arguement is abit pendestrian. Currently the US has more than they can handle. Gaza, ukraine, congo, presidential electIons, drug wars ,Russian, taiwan, china, korea,etc
We will change AU. Just like Ruto has changed the laws. We will participate in politics as head of AU. And we will castigate tyrants. We will work with Burkina Faso, Mali, Egypt and the other francophones
