I love this, this is true and correct after I got initiated I just had more intuition and I was able to have clear answer! I love my ceremonia from palo mayombe.
Personally sir I'm mainly native American Indian and between 20 to 25% white i practice Haitian Vodou and I've gotta great life but sir you can't fuse Native American Religions and Wicca - believe me it will blow up in your face every fuckin' time. Um sir you're very right - You can't enslave the spirit and try to force it to work for you but you can bribe it into doing something it doesn't want to do and you do have to treat it a certain way and I'll tell you why sir. When I was a Palero I treated my spirit like my grandfather and I got really good results though i bribed him into a lot of things he didn't want to do but he always accepted.
I couldn't agree with you more! I couln't tell you the number of people I have witnessed trying to fuse wicca and other "faiths" with native american traditions. It is a great disrespect and makes me truly understand the necessity of secrecy.

I should have clarified better, by destructive, I mean in the sense of the spirits realigning your path back on course by removing people, situations and environments from your path to put you back on track. To the person going through that, it would seem destructive and hard but it's for your own good. So I meant destructive in a good way not a negative way.

@@shangogumi Yeah, it's good to expose the charlatans. There are a lot of people seeking out this tradition to help themselves spiritually and to heal and liberate themselves from their inner demons. I get pissed when I see other "paleros " fighting over pettiness and always talking about money money money . Who cares about the money. I feel like there is so much spiritual depth to Palo that is way more interesting, so much metaphysical concepts to learn. Money in contrast to that means shit to me. I don't understand some of these paleros, how can they talk about something so mundane such as money and status when they've been presented with something so vast that science is barely catching up to? I rather have knowledge and wisdom than money.
I agree 👍this religion is so vast with so many aspects energies dimensions etc to realize in one short lifetime money is a human trap yes things cost money but it shouldn't be your focus for that don't practice this religion because it's not going to make you rich and if you're charging for something don't take short cuts because you hold someone's life in your hands

Hello. I was met a palero and his wife. I am interested in getting involved in the religion but would like to know how would I k ow if they are the real deal. Do palero use Orishas and have elleguas?
I was told by a yemenja priest that there was a spirit that wanted to come through me and that they would divine for me. She said that Palo was coming up and that I needed to be scratched for her spirit to come forward but the priest said that she didn’t know enough to direct me on the matter. If I were to be initiated into Palo, would this be the spirit that would live in the caldron? Thank you also for your page bc it’s very difficult (for obvious reasons) to find much information about Palo, but I am very interested in learning more.
You should probably do a mass with paleros and see if they think u need to get scratched but don’t let them know that’s y there, at the mass because it’s a business to initiate as much clients as possible.

However calling on datk forces is different enlightment when you work with angels or the orishas that deals with light. Yes but in palo mayombe you have nsambi spirits (white) and malongo (dark)because palo is a raw force which the religious person decides how to use it this is why you have to be open minded when you're dealing with something outside your own practice
