That's why police need to investigate everything! dispatcher story. - Poor child. ALWAYS CHECK! Even if it seems unlikely. go with gut. in all aspects of life it's better to check and waste a little time knowing it was nothing than not checking and allowing a life changing event occur for the worst. Chill Out! They never do. They never contact witnesses who are also victims or know what happened either. I had to leave my apt. and ended up homeless because of a rapists friends who kept coming to my apt. and threatening me/stalking me. Then I ended up having to move from that town back home because of other creeps and it just kept getting worse for me and police weren't doing anything. Now I can't pay rent/utilities at the overpriced apt or for food/medical needs, I had no choice to move to or medicines I have no choice in taking/not taking, and I'm going to have to go back to my abusive ex who raped me daily or beat me or poisoned me; and one time broke my ribs. Haha these stories don't scare me much after what I've been through with my ex and what happened after he left me for dead after breaking my ribs. I'll be submitting a story or two about my experiences soon.

True, but if you have on average, 1-5 cops looking after a 10 block radius. They need to be there to respond to real problems. It's not easy being a 9-1-1 operator.

I dunno why they didn’t try to contact the owner, at the very least. If there is no owner, then you call back up and look. 9-11 call can be used as extenuating circumstances. That’s so awful, that poor kid.

Added tip for the cop story: if you have to travel late, alone or with one other person, when pulled over, request a second patrol to come to the location. "Ya know sir/miss, because you never know who's pretending to be a cop...." (If they give you BS). If they wait too long before coming to your car, call 911 and explain where you are, Google your location if need be. Using earbuds or a Bluetooth will allow you to turn the phone off so they don't know you are on the phone.

To hear the word "babushka" in Poland you'd need to go closer to Ukrainian border... Still, "babushka" itself as a word isn't really a part of Polish vocabulary, it's more Russian if anything. Now in Russian "babushka" is a straightforward translation to "grandmother". As for Baba Yaga, that's Polish. "Jaga" is a derivative of proto-slavic word "jęga" meaning "suffering", "torment", "terror" or "dangerous". It was a female (since "baba" is a rather rude way to say "woman") witch living in deep forest in a hut on a chicken leg. There is no connotation between "babushka" and "baba yaga". Well... that's a pointless comment, but it's not often my nationality is a part of a horror story...

emily good Yeah... That's a flaw of English language. More appropriate word for that specific head cover is "kerchief" however given the popularity of kerchief among older women in eastern Europe made the word "grandmother" and "kerchief" interchangeable in English for some silly reason. Suffice to say if you'd visit Russia, Ukraine, Belarus or eastern parts of Poland and ask someone to buy a babushka from them, you'll be asking him to sell you his grandma, however from the perspective of native English speaker you wouldn't have made a mistake. Everything's relative in linguistics...

+Shannon Alexander nope! Well not exactly a restaurant but at a Bashas (grocery store) that has a hot food/deli. There is a lovely area overlooking the mountains, with several tables & chairs. I sat enjoying my meal listening to the Be man's stories and three people got up and moved far away from me 😊😈

I listen while cleaning, cooking, working, walking, driving, bathing and sleeping lol. The ones I go to sleep to, I rewind next morning and start over! Earbuds were the greatest invention lol! I use to obsessively listen to the ID channel, but these stories have replaced that. I have numerous favs..Mr Nightmare, Urmaker, Mortis Media, Blue Spooky..and the best..Be Busta! There are a couple more..but these are my favs!

Woh, you know I hadn't put that much thought into it but the story about the meat salesman sounded really familiar. Years ago when my husband and I first moved into our home, we were around 19 or 20 at the time, a van full of men in their 20s to 30s pulled up and knocked on our door after dark claiming to be meat salesmen, they even had a small cooler with some meat samples with them. My husband and I both went out to see what they wanted and they seemed pretty interested in talking to us until my Mom pulled up for a visit, then suddenly they were in a big hurry to leave and never stopped at any of the other houses on our street, just kept on driving. They never left a card or number, and I remember thinking that it seemed really sketchy because there were at least four guys in the van who didn't even get out. Thinking back, this happened during a time when I stayed at home alone each night because my husband worked the night shift, and our daily routine was predictable enough that it would have been pretty easy to guess when I normally would be home alone, but it must have been one of my husband's nights off since he was here with me. At the time I just thought they were hoping to talk us into paying for a product we would never actually receive (we were pretty naive and always wanted to help people out, so it had happened before) but hearing a story so similar, and now having a few years more experience under my belt, it makes me wonder.
