We've installed the new Winegard Rayzar Auto aiming HDTV antenna on our 2004 Newmar Dutch Star motorhome. I'll never have to deal with the old crank up bat wing antenna again and save hundreds on satellite TV in your coach.

I have this and it works so well I added one to the little camper but my husband is challenged by the installation so thank you I hope this helps

there is no digital antenna, the old style antennas pick up digital too.

Just came over from the Ham Radio channel. KB5ZZB I'm a part time RVer and love trying Ham Radio in the RV. I have a 40' toy hauler left over from when I had to travel for work. 73 and good luck

Thanks for the your review of the Rayzar OTA. I'm in the market and your experience with this antenna helped me make my choice. You should really turn on the RV air the next time you make a video.

500 bucks, no thanks. I don't even watch TV at home. Thought it would be cool to upgrade my batwing for my wife who wants a little TV while camping.

You must have a grand fathered Verizon jet pac to stream that much Netfix etc to make it less expensive that a monthly dish as you go package without any contract.

The problem with the dish programs is... receiver fee $3 per mo., programming package $70 per month if you want specific things, then they put your receiver in coma mode if you haven't turned it on in a month or two and you discover it while your parked somewhere and you have to call them and go through a half hour activation, It really got to be more of a pain in the ass than it was worth. I'm already paying AT&T for unlimited internet and hotspot capability so why not just use it. Those dish/direct $35. packages include everything I don't watch and almost nothing I do watch.

How expensive is that razor antenna. Isn't it like $300.00 or there about.

Yeah, its pricey but I'm able to ditch the satellite and drag in more on air stations. So I'm money ahead in the long run.

It's like 400.00 now, I replaced the entire roof, decking, fans, vents, ,skylights and radio antenna in 2020, but I left the batwing off, but it always worked great for us but was getting a little old. Our coach is a 2003 Newmar Dutch Star 3804, very similar color scheme to yours. If they ever come to their senses and cut the price in half I'll buy one, but not at 400.00. Most of the places we go have good cable and if they don't, I have a Clear Stream Max-V antenna(30.00, reg 72.00 at Lowes or home Depot) on an extendable(18') pole I attach beside the door to the awning. Works great. We mostly stream Netflix, Hulu, Amazon prime etc on Roku with a hotspot and you tube videos through our chrome cast. Safe travels.

'Good idea' Wineguard Rayzar to have the cable connection at the front of the control unit: How fucked up is that! Yeah mate, you should have turned the air con on if you were that hot.

When you upgrade the old TV's to new LCD TV's can you just buy the regular AC TV's or do you have to get the more expensive AC/DC TV's?

Dish Sat. is $7.00 a month if you have dish at home. You can start & stop it anytime you want & only pay for when you need to use it. ( Feb. 2019 )

I looked up the Rayzar antenna on Amazon. Almost all of the reviews, which are in 2017, complained of an E3 failure of the motor to turn. Seems to be a big problem with this unit. How's yours holding up?

Mine quit too. E3 code as well. More plastic for our overflowing landfills. It's only free tv when the cost of the product is recouped. If the unit quits just after the warranty expires, you're not getting free tv.

You gat scammed, there is no such thing as a digital or analog antenna they're all the same. All antennas work with HDTV's, even the old rabbit ear antenna. The only difference this one could have is that it is directional

I installed a piece of plywood just inside the TV box and used a cheap fixed flat screen mount. I'm not wild about the install and I'm going to redo the entire installation.
