I really like this, its clear this guy plays D&D lol I would put an icon of the character over his cam when he's doing the voice for them though just to really sell that he's becoming the character.

Yes, I just double-checked. "Gungnir, Dragon of the Ice Barrier" is indeed a Dragon type monster, as opposed to "Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon" which is a Wyrm instead or "Masquerade the Blazing Dragon" which is a Fiend instead. I understand Danny's confusion.

6:15 it actually doesnt equip if it gets destoryed by battle. Yea the card is that bad Edit: this actually doesn't change the turn much because you had meteorite which can flip everything during BP forcing the equip and the jetelkisp, which resummons itself even if the flamvell destroyed it by battle. This means the endphase play still goes through as normal with the only difference being you taking 600 instead of 800 38:30 face-up only. This matters because Gungnir can get rid of meteorite before you can use it 50:15 this seems OP as you have infinite battle blockers since it doesn't say from graveyard.

Also I feel like this scenario is a cool concept but kinda misses the mark that playing the Worms should be the point, not trading them out for better cards. Or at least giving the GM stronger decks as the Worms player gets stronger.

So coming at this campaign from a Tabletop background I feel it was really not balanced well for the DM's enjoyment (Danny in this case) it felt more like a 1 player campaign where the enemies could easily be replaced by a computer. Wheres the ability for the DM to influence the game to make things more interesting besides Danny's impeccable voice acting? The field like effects not being an actual buff to the enemies while the player gets consistently better staple access and items to warp the game in their favour made it feel way more player focused instead of a 2 player game for having fun. The field like effects should have either been more tailored to the boss's strengths or be one sided to give the "boss" fight more teeth. The idea of this was interesting but I just think it wasnt balanced to keep the games tense. Look at that second X-Saber game, Danny has a ton of useless X-saber trap cards while Joseph has functionally "boarded" out of the shitty worm cards for just better generic cards and that wasnt an early battle, its a "boss" fight of the X-Saber duo. Overall the video is still very enjoyable because of the banter and Danny's voices, but I hope future DDM PvE campaigns learn from this one.

I going to say this, while it was funny to watch this, it was also somewhat equally as frustrating to watch as Danny only got bad cards to used while MBT kept getting very powerful cards. Like, it barely a challenge for MBT as he was able to breeze those duel. I feel like Danny show have gotten some free "DM rules" that he could have during each duel to at least make a challenge for MBT.

God, I feel like the 'enemy' decks should have a sideboard of options to tech into their decks. In case the 'player' goes full trap stun. Because it was painful for MBT to just keep being able to set 4 and get all the advantage because his opponent has no built in S/T removal. Overall I feel that the DM had it too rough here. Being able to just... bypass the Mist Valley after they stomped him was lame, Only deck that could put up a fight. And just... damn the quality of deck the DM was working with was just rough. I mean, neat the Genex deck had Last WIll and Graceful. but it looks like it had only the worst Genex cards available. At least give the man the Link. come on. Or even the decent Ally Genex cards, like Birdman.

my run was wildly different. I was worms and opened unplayable into insane hand So I got out of flamvell riding the seat of my pants, got lucky enough to open good cards against brionac and take my first dub, lost to gungnir, lost to X-Saber Gottoms, Beat XX sabers because my deck was actually coming together now, pretty much instantly destroyed Clausolas as they could not beat xex + meteorite x2, then spent 37 long turns grinding into the endless conga line assembled by mist valley lord guy barely eeking out a dub thanks to my alien package, as I managed to spread a bunch of "A" counters, use alien brainwashing to steal 2k beat stick, and started using it to loop vanity's emptiness. after that hellhole I literally couldn't stop laughing for like thirty minutes as my opponent opened all his controllers plus undine and unexpected dai. then in the final showdown woth Ally of Justice, I opened graceful charity into pot of greed into xex (with yagan in gy), vanity's, heavy storm, amd a bunch of aliens. I normal'd the xex sent a second yagan, got cycle readered for my life savings, and was subject to the token gimmick so much, it looked like my wincon would be he deck out soon. The last two turns involved me wiping the whole board of tokens with dark hole as my whole hand was lights and they were a single tuner away from decisive armor, then I followed up by activating future fusion and setting defensive backrow. on the last turn, I revealed Worm Zero and binned all 5 of my remaining worms, and watching as deckout forced me to win without the funny.

When it comes to the early Duel Terminal cards, I sometimes find myself recoiling slightly at the names because I spent many hours playing Stardust Accelerator and it had different translations than what would later be the official ones. "Jetelikpse? Nah, you must mean Jeetrikups." Though "Flamvell Poun" genuinely kinda baffles me, the old translation of "Flamvell Pawn" just feels better.

Comedy 10/10, loved it Balance 0/10, Dms either get crazy decks or should be able to cheat by picking their topdecks. Or maybe get Alex Cimo as your next Dm, he doesn't need to cheat with his protag powers

Ran this with my partner. She basically completely avoided the worm cards and had literally none of them by the end. I ended up using the GM powers they talk about to declare 'All non-dark cards count as light for the final duel' to make it at all fun and interesting
