Wish to share with you after watching your videos I bought one myself. Brought it to 4-days LOB. Very satisfied. Planning next trip to try out taking macros in Lembeh. THANK YOU. ❤
It gives balance and comparison. I can set go pro to wide angle normally and then have the ability with iPhone to switch to a variety of lens and still have a backup of entire scenario in case. I am actually trying to build a rig that can handle a 3rd Camera. A 360 camera as well.
@@watertrek360 agree… 😂 thanks for the review and sharing. Great help for an amateur like me… plus GoPro screen is too tiny to look at… so happy that I can bring my iPhone into the water. THANK YOU…
Make sure your iPhone is at most current release of 16.3.1. There were focusing issues with earlier software versions. I’ll let you know. I will be using it this weekend with the new software.
Great video and I’m glad to hear you’ve worked out the issues you first had with the housing. Do you know if Divevolk do replacement touch screen membranes should it get damaged?
They replaced mine that had the major bubble issue for free. That was very nice of them. As for the membrane I don’t believe so, it requires a new housing. To my knowledge membranes are not repairable. But damage can be by many things. Always be careful of the membrane on deck and when transporting and if wreck diving.
I have found that I do not have to do that. I took a new screen protector, cut it in half so that it doesn't cover the opening for the camera, and stuck it inside sleeve for the phone. I raises the phone enough for more contact. So I've left it on. Now it is a little less sensitive, but it works, just be firm with finger. Make sure phone has assistive touch on.
Hi. I just tested with your way! However, it works well in the normal environment but when test underwater, I still need to remove the screen protector.
I use on my right hand a golf glove if its colder. Really thick gloves for cold water diving, are still a challenge and you have to be patient. It will respond, but it may take you several tries.
I just purchased. I've been in roatan and utila diving, and my pictures do not have the same vibrant colors as you pictures and videos. We have the same phone
@@watertrek360 which type of light do you use? Flood or spot beam? How many lumens? I’m considering buy the Seatouch case to be used on my Sealife tray with 2000 and 3000 lumen lights.
@@gianlbaroni For video I use a flood. I have spots, but I use them when I am in dark water like long island, then I switch to the camera flood when shooting. I am also looking at new lights, and will be doing a couple videos on those. My key to you is not just Lumen, Make sure your camera has at least 80 CRI, and preferably 90 CRI or greater. I would have to look at the sealife tray. I have two different trays from Divevolk. Suitable, but each with their own issues...
@@watertrek360 finally I buy my Seatouch 4 max, attached to preowned Sealife dual tray. At the beginning I was afraid as the Seatouch housing is not fitting between the 2 arm of the tray, it is about 2 centimetres wider than available space. I abandoned the idea to modify either the tray or the housing and go mounting the housing a bit tilted on the tray to test it. Surprise, having the housing tilted it is by far better than installing it aligned to the tray, as I can reach the shutter button easier and the tilting itself it is not affecting pointing the target.
@@gianlbaroni I am a firm believer in modifying what you have to make it work. When I position mine I always make sure the on off button is as close to the right handle as I can. Glad it works for you.
Great video! I’m looking to get this exact same housing for my iPhone. That being said, do you think it’s worth getting the red filter kit for it? Does it make a big difference in video quality? I only dive in blue waters, if that matters. Thanks in advance.
Thanks for sharing!!! I may purchase a Divevolk housing for the new iPhone 14 Pro Max that I just ordered. I would love to compare underwater video with it against the new GoPro 11 but I believe that the iphone may win while shooting still photography???
Either one. Go pro 11 is smaller less if a foot print. If you lose it sucks. But you’ll live. If you lose your iPhone 14 you are SOL unless you have 2 phones. That said if you haven’t bought the GoPro 11. Think of that cost. Plus an underwater housing stick or tray. Since you have the 14Pro already minimally all you need is the DiveVolk housing and a lanyard. Video quality is great on either. I think the 14Pro is slightly better in clear water under 60. feet. It’s up to you. Risk vs reward. The diveVolk let’s you change whatever you want when you want. Check out my video comparing iPhone to GoPro.
@@aaziizkhan first are you using a red filter? How deep are you. Using a red filter is the best first option. If that doesn’t work I use FCPX or Affinity to color correct if needed. Normally with red filter under 20 meters don’t really need to if you are in clear water.
@@watertrek360 I just bought the clamp for red filter. I will use it in my next dive and share with you. Thanks for your advice. I usually dive 20 - 30 meters and water is clear
I have used it California when water temp has been 52 degrees. I have not had a problem. But I was worried about that. I have used a desiccant like for GoPro that will fit, if placed correctly
Technology looks great but does NOT work for scuba diving in cold water. Always foggy. After sales service is poor. 300USD for a limited device, a shame
@@watertrek360 Thanks for a great review and tips, and the recommended settings! Looking forward to using my newly purchased Divevolk Seatouch 4 in Raja Ampat later this month. One question please: Besides the Divevolk red filter, do you also use the macro wet lens and if so, how do you switch between this and the red filter while underwater? Thanks!
@@huiyongchia I have the WA lens. That has the same problem. You can't unless you take it off. Meaning the red filter goes on first, If you want to remove Red filter, Macro or WA lens have to remove, then RED filter, and then put lens back on. Alwqys a pain, and then you need a place to keep filters without damaging them UW. That was one of my gripes about the lens attachments. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uW7LUgCzklc.html
