Great video as always. It was worth every bit. Have a query/point to add on Laurus vs Divis comparison - My understanding of Laurus on 'lowest cost producer', 'doing more with less' and thus ultimately achieving economics of scale is more or less similar to Divis. From my understanding of Laurus business, Laurus tries to enters Generic APIs/Formulations with the aim of gaining leadership position (as Dr. Chava have said couple of times in concall). We saw this playing out in ARV APIs. Remains to be seen in Diabetes and Cardiovascular products. Laurus is also planning for nitrosamine free Sartans' Cardiovascular APIs/formulations. So it'll be interesting to see it playing out for Laurus too. Having said this, I agree with the competitive model of competing with innovators with generics and its impact on CDMO relationship. Personally, this is good open question for me in terms of assessing/judging the impact. Trying to see if I can find similar examples with other global companies in this industry and how it has played out with them. Faith in Dr. Chava's vision and execution gives good comfort though.
Food for thought: I have been personally invested since the last 18 months. Lets see if you can answer this: The incremental basket of APIs that are being launched, do they have cost leadership there or is it an umbrella launch? My belief is the latter. Think about it slowly :)
@@ishmohit1 Agreed :) If I look at Gliptins that are being launched for type-2 diabetes definitely looks like a basket offering approach (completely differs from what Divis follows) and highly likely that main focus might not be gaining cost leadership. The focus would be to diversify first and at least be scalable & trusted low cost (if not lowest) producer due to complete integration. Low/lowest cost part is something which remains to be seen
@@TarangPatel1610 that is where the Difference lies and Valuation reflects that :) Divis only enters when already cost competitive. I am aware of this and this is my anti thesis at the end of the day :)
Excellent Analysis.. This brings back horrible memories. I had bought 600 shares of Divis in 2018 and weeks later the stock tanked over 20% in short time frame that spooked me off and got off the stock at loss.. I will never forgive myself for having done that.. However, back then, I didn't have such a good content to know about the company and the business analysis.. Congratulations and hats off for such a wonderful work. One small request: Please do post few videos in English as well. :)

Excellent analysis of Divis. I am feeling very guilty for not invested in this company till date. As iam Civil Engineer iam one of the team member for construction of Unit II, during 2000 to 2006 Chippada neaar Vizag. This plant they acquired from Birla Periclase. This plant built by Birla for processing of Minerals & was shut down due to due to cheap China products imports . But most of the plant structures like Boilers, Water treatment plant, Admin & office building and Staff quarters nicely converted for Divis requirement. Even Jetty structure with pipe line to sea for waste disposal well utilized by Divis. After they acquired so much adjacent land and expanded plant.
I just added some more today! Be greedy when others are fearful! Always better to buy a great company at a fair price than a fair company at a great price!

This business analysis is extra ordinary. Sorry @Ishmohit for watching this so late but really mindblowing!!! 🙏🙏 I think Laurus stock has huge value right now. The EPS has come down to 10 from 17. Looking at the Capex & the latest Concall, the EPS might tripple from here in the next 2 years. With PE hitting 40ish, it could become a 4 bagger from here. Debt seems a bit too high but management is very capable.

Sartans are actually ARBs(Angiotensin receptor blockers) used to treat Hypertension . The future potential is high because here half of the patients remain undiagnosed and out of the people who are diagnosed with hypertension , most remain under treated . So only tip of the iceberg in Hypertensive patients are treated with enough medicine.
Hi. Even though I really appreciate your work, I would like to point out that the title of the video indicated that approximately equal time would be dedicated to each of the two companies. However, majority of the time was devoted to Divis Labs. This is just intended to be a feedback with a hope for positive change.
@@ishmohit1 Thats true. Its just that in more than 90% of the videos on RU-vid, the titles and thumbnails are so misleading that they rarely depict the content of the video. And I believe that quite a few of them do this on purpose just to entice people to open the videos. This really puts me off. Since I know that you guys wouldn't do any such thing atleast intentionally, I thought it might be useful to point it out.
I have questions on laurus lab 1. Why Promoter sold their holding 2. Is it a one man show, bcz never heard any group behind it. 3. To have faith for long term trust in the script. Pls tell something on it
1.Don't think it's an issue. Have talked about it plenty of times 😅 Vaidyanathan took pledge to buy more shares. This is a similar case. One of the promoters got declassified and he has sold in the past. Business more and less noise 2. Son is already working in Laurus synthesis, warburg pincus was invested here. First generation entreprenur, we should rather respect.

Your analytic skills are good . What is your conclusion & preference among the two.As per you Devi is better but also have risk.Suppose I want to invest Rs 100. what % you would like should be invested in Devi Lorus SMS & Tata Computer. consideration is profitability & security.
