@@CryptoCwisI think he means that the kingdom is more lively in Totk because they have more hope, and they are rebuilding. In botw, things are left in ruins, people are more scattered, and generally less hopeful bc that's how things have been for 100 years with nobody coming to save them
The beeping noises are SOS calls and from what it seems, Urbosa had the most gruesome deaths outta all the other champions. The booming piano probably signifies that Urbosa was electrocuted multiple times from the Thunderblight Ganon and suffered multiple wounds before her body was destroyed. Mipha had called for help immediately but by then it was too late. Daruk called for help immediately also but his call was a bit more subtle at the beginning most likely due to wanting Link and Zelda to focus on the main task at hand. And Revali’s call didn’t come till later cause of how his pride was but by the time he realized he needed help, it was too late.
I heard Urbosa was beheaded or smth, pls tell me it's false, I cant take it, it's very creepier than creepypastas, it's very amazing small detail nintendo has put into a game which seems very good and peaceful except for ganon, I also heard somewhere in the comments that, Daruk was crushed by a fireball and got hit by the sword of fireblight ganon? I mean how are ppl knowing this? Source would be great if you knew it, and for Revali someone said, he was blasted by the guns in mid air by windblight and Mipha, I think was very sad smth like striking the blight Ganon's spear directly into her body and she was drowning smth? I still not sure if any of these are correct but then it sure sounds very tragic, I cant handle this stuff but the curiosity is high
@@trustyrusty6969Well when you think about it and see what the Blights can do, it’s actually pretty easy to see how the champions were killed. Waterblight froze the water to limit Mipha’s mobility. And with no shield or any way to escape or defend herself, she was most likely harpooned. Fireblight delivered the most damage, so it most likely kept battering and battering at Daruk’s force field powers until it weakened and delivered one final crushing blow. Windblight probably whipped up one of those twisters to disorient Revali’s flying as most birds/avianoids can’t steer on heavy winds and then used its laser beams to disintegrate his body. And as for Urbosa….well she had a metal sword and shield so I’m sure you get the idea 🤷🏾♂️ but yeah, it’s really scary and sad to think about.
really hypnotic stuff, you don't pick up on it when you're playing the game at first because you're so occupied with reaching the terminals, but this is one of the few songs on the ost that puts you in a trance. I remember hearing that opening and thinking, holy shit. What better theme to play for a divine beast surrounded by the nothingness of the desert?
All 4 of the Divine Beast themes are disturbing and sad but this one fucks me up. The last half sounds so hopeful hopeful that one of the others will survive. That, somehow, they can win. It’s gut wrenching how well crafted the music in this game is. So much attention to detail.
And the fact that you know each of them was fighting at the same time, she heard Miphas SOS and Deruks at that point but revali, that beautiful, stubborn, arrogant bird held off till the last Minute believing he could best his opponent, she still hadn't heard his signal
In a cutscene from Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity we can see how all four champions are about to die. We can see how Urbosa is on the ground and is too tired to fight due to the rapid attacks of thunderblight. Then thunderblight catches her off guard and dashes straight to her and we can see how Urbosa desperately watches how he swings his sword straight towards her neck. So she was most likely decapitated. Gruesome, I know.
All 4 blights were created as counters for their respective champion's speciality. Urbosa couldn't keep up with Thunderblight's extreme speed because of her warrior style of combat. She got put on the defensive, which she wasn't used to.
Remember how in Japan the number 4 represents death. And each of this themes and heroes faced death in a very different way. For mipha was tragic and scary. For Daruk was honorable and brave. For revali was full of regrets. For urbosa was solemn by duty.
By the time she realized Thunderblight was already there she was getting shocked over and over but hearing Mipha and Daruk playing their sos signals loudly and faintly, her heart pained for them, she played her signal weaker than Daruk's as being a proud Gerudo, she would await her turn, and go down fighting endlessy, brandishing sword and shield she charged forth, she however eventually got overwhelmed by the swift speed and combos, and it quickly did her in with lightning and massive strikes of bladed power, her signal is long overriden after mipha and daruk's signals what she heard last? The love and adoration of her people and Revali's sos, she doesn't want to admit it..but Gerudo can feel cold too even..when the sun is beaming on her..she smiles..and sleeps..but never wakes.
@@randalladams1638 I did Thunderblight the last one (people say the one you leave the last is gonna be hardest than the others) and actually was pretty easy.
@@mdag2648 the ideal order is 1. Water cuz grace makes everything else a lot easier 2. Fire cuz protection is good for Thunder 3. Thunder so it isn't too hard but you aren't starting out. Also fury makes Wind a joke. 4. Wind cuz it's easy as hades with all the other abilities, meaning the "hardest" slot is basically wasted.
Does anyone else feel the more gerudo theme came in because it was paying respect to the fight she put up and how much she had done in her Life because she was going to die.
Can we just appreciate the thunder noises al around by the piano. Urbosa is my favorite champion because she is such a missing link (no pun intended) in the story, she knew the mother of Zelda and had the most time with her. She could have so many stories to tell, what is actually what Zelda needed. Almost like a mentor roll. And she is fierce with a sense of responsebilty. Urbosa's theme, Naboris, thunderblight. Were the best arch in my opinion. The difficulty and this song. Was absolute joy. Without Revali's gale it's sometimes still challenging. Give love to the queen of the desert. 💛
As weird as it is, after playing Tears of the Kingdom, it's actually clearer how sad the games are/have been. I kind of think this one is sadder than TOTK. The king's ghost exists and can witness the fall and aftermath of the failure.
4:54 gets me every time because the same melody plays, but in an almost spasmic new rhythm that reminds me of uncontrollable sobbing. I can't help but imagine the anguish Urbosa must have felt in her final movements, not just because she lost or failed, but also because she couldn't protect her village and loved ones from thunderblight :(
It sounded to me like SAD at the beginning. I believe I vaguely heard an SOS signal that was most likely overlapped by the SAD signal. As the music progressed, you hear more of the SOS signal. As if she was having a huge struggle to get out her signal because of how fast and obviously persistent the enemy was
during the beginning of the song, just after the boom of the piano, you can hear urbosa’s SOS fairly clear in the left ear, before its almost completely overpowered by SAD in the right.
After listening to this in botw, I can see why Zelda cried. She can feel their pain and see them being tortured. But most of all she blames herself for their deaths. When she saw link about half-dead fighting guardians, she didn’t want to lose the only person she has that supports her, protects her in such a fashion.
Imagine how much scarier the game would have been if you played it the first time and just walk around and get closer to like rito or some and here that scary ahh SOS signal
The dramatic piano slamming is so chilling. Especially when you walk to the outside areas and see nothing but desert, and the piano seems to match the footsteps of the beast.
there is a secret message that is in all divine beast music. for the boys, daruk and revali, it plays on the right ear and on the left are the girls mipha and urbosa it sounds like this . . . - - - . . . it is real morse code and spells the SOS pattern. it is likely a messages from the champions before they died to calamity ganon. once you hear it, you can't "unhear" it. it just makes the music a lot more spookier and on the opposite ear there is another one but no one knows what it says
This song always fascinates me. It really captures the mystical desert atmosphere of Arabian tales. The ominous intro reflects the vast, harsh sea of sand under the relentless sun, this abandoned place where only the gods would witness someone's demise. On the other hand, the song segment seems to express the discovery of an oasis, full of tall trees casting welcoming shadows, water so clear and blue that it would put the heavens to shame, bringing promises of good fortunes, like magic and treasures hidden in this land. And who knows? For those who are brave enough to venture out, they may even have three wishes granted.
Everyone talks about the SOS that plays in all the divine beast themes, but there are also SAD (search and destroy) signals. And with this theme and miphas, the SAD plays before the SOS, implying that ganon reached them first. Could also be ganons way of letting the champions know that if they arent dead already, theyre going to be next.
This theme conveys a feeling of sadness and melancholy. If you notice, this song plays the SOS in morse code. The way and the speed in which the beast emanates those sounds make me think that Urbosa died with despair, frustration and cruelty. Let's not even talk about how Urbosa died. Just thinking about how bloody the death could have been makes my skin crawl
@@vacantile It can be deduced from some details. Blights have piercing, stabbing, and massive weapons. From there you can assume the deaths. In Age of Calamity you can even see the beginning of each battle and from there you can perfectly imagine how the situation ends
@@vacantile (slightly disturbing warning) urbosa was decapitated, revali was blown up with lasers, daruk was burned to death, and mipha was pummeled to death by ice blocks
I'm listening to this with headphones and I just realized... The left ear (which is a bit quieter than the right) will play SOS-Urbosa calling for help. And the right ear (which is louder) will play SAD-Search and Destroy. Presumably the Blight sending out the attack signal.
Me: *just trying to enjoy the Vah Naboris music* Everyone in the comments: MURDERDEATHGOREMURDERDEATHELECTROCUTIONMURDERDEATHSOSSIGNALSMURDERDEATHDECAPITATION REEEEEEEEEEEE Me: *crying* God damnit I just wanted to listen to some tunes
@@joypink5599 I hate you so much for reminding me of this. It's a damn good theme but the comments make me want to cry and I can't cry at midnight when I need to sleep. Damn you random stranger, my heart can't take this shit anymore.
yeah right in the beginning you clearly hear SOS on the left side ... --- ... and on the right side you hear SAD (search and destroy) ... .- -.. well hearable at 0:08 edit: the signals get even faster after some time
Vah Naboris’ theme doesn’t have SOS in it at all. If you listen closely, the Morse is … - - -.. SAD Urbosa knew she couldn’t be saved, she knew it was too dangerous. She knew and accepted that she was going to die in her battle
It does have SOS, but it's super faint and not as noticeable as the SAD call. It's also fitting as Urbosa was the furthest away from her Divine Beast when the Calamity struck. By the time she got to hers, the others were already in battle and in trouble.
Phahaha I just discovered this morse code thing and it's really funny, because for the fandom this seems to be a "did you know Aragorn broke his toe when he kicked the helmet" moment and everyone is trying to "uhm actually, did you know" xD
All of the divine beast themes are so macabre but I feel like after listening to them all again, Vah Naboris sounds the most brutal. My thoughts are that aside from them matching the elements of the blights to each divine beast and their champion. However I can’t help but wonder if ganon wanted the champions to be beaten by the champions element proving that he’s better, cuz he could’ve sent the different blights to the champion of which the element they were “weak” to. It also makes me think that the hardest divine beast in my opinion is Vah Naboris but I am curious about that since what if Ganon had known a Gerudo was the pilot for it and wanted to punish her for not following her “king”
A difficult dungeon(?) to be sure, but the one that, in my opinion, has the most beautiful themes to accompany it. The part that plays after you activate all of the terminals is just... glorious. I adore it. :)
Vah naboris was my first beast and this theme is so depressing i had such an unsettling feeling. The other beasts' themes are like "We fucked up but all is not lost" and vah naboris with these heavy piano notes. brrr
It's fitting too when you look at where the Champions were when the Calamity struck. They were in the Eastern portion of Hyrule, at Lanayru Road's East Gate, at the base of Mount Lanayru. The Zora and Goron lands are nearby, meaning Mipha and Daruk were able to quickly run to get to their Divine Beasts. Rivali can fly and could quickly get to Rito Village to get to his Beast. But Urbosa had to cross the entire country, from East Hyrule to the desert, in order to get to Vah Naboris. By the time she was able to get there, the other Champions were in battle, if not already defeated. Urbosa was the last to join the fight and the last of the Champions to fall (I feel Mipha falls first, then Daruk, then Rivali). It makes sense that the Vah Naboris theme is the most forlorn out of them all, Urbosa basically started the fight with all hope already lost.
The broadcasts sent are higher and lower pitched Morse code, the higher one sending SOS at the beginning, and the lower pitched one sending SAD, or Seek/Search And Destroy. It’s unfortunate how the Champions died, but I’m curious how both broadcasts match. This is definitely seen as the Champion of said Divine Beast being Killed, but why one broadcast is SOS at the beginning and then SAD in the end is… It’s unnerving.
My favourite Divine Beast theme. The piano on the first part is brilliant (especially because the striking chords never fully go away), the synth work in the later parts is unbelievably tasteful, and the little groove with the guitar works wonders
It just creep me to hear sos in morse it's in all the music but the one un urbosa is way much harder i think it's because she had a more tragic death that just make me cry when i learn morse and i heard sos in all the music but it kinda make sense
3:56 just sounds like urbosa and gerudo town.. makes me think of urbosa in the last moments of her life... And gerudo town about to lose their beloved chief..
Considering her quote before striking the calamity in the game about Ganon's past life, she seems focused on legacy and like the type to look beyond her own lifetime. I read the Gerudo Village tune in the end of this track as more so comfort in the strength of her people, a somber pride in the fight she put up for the future of them, confidence that even though she failed she will be succeeded.
@@lilpetz500 Yeah, that's how I hear it, too. As if she's content despite having lost this fight, because she believes the Gerudo will survive and prevail in the end, anyway.
This music is so good. All the music in this game is fantastic, but I love the divine beast themes so much because they carry the most heartbreaking stories while still being hauntingly beautiful. What strikes me is that Naboris' and Rudania's (Urbosa and Daruk) themes seem to be a lot more "strong" feeling, like they carry a sense of pride almost, while Ruta (Mipha) feels fearful and menacing and Medoh (Ravioli) feels panicked. My personal headcanon is that the older Champions died with a sense of pride or honor, like they were fighting (and dying) for their respective cities while the younger Champions were terrified, lost, and scared. It's all so sad and it makes my heart hurt. Crazy how a videogame can leave such an impact on people.
Kinda contrary to what this theme represents, since you can hear the S.O.S morse code in the background, and the heavy piano notes with build up in the beginning probably makes reference to lightning, which probably means she was electrified several times before falling, she was literally pleading for help on her last moments. There ya go, good nightmares ;)
I'm not a music expert but this is how I interpret this song from the start to 1:10. The piano. Thought your adventure this instrument has been a reoccurring instrument, be it the serene melodies that play when in the unpopulated of people yet full of life wilderness of Hyrule to its more frantic tones when encountering the rouge Guardians. In a way it acts almost like a heart beat showing that even after 100 years life can and will go on. With Vah Naboris the piano sounds like a cold mechanical droning, there is no life aside from you, a few robots and the malice that is controlling the ancient super weapon. If the other piano examples are heart beats than this is like musical version of an electrocardiogram flatlining.
After the dramatic beginning were all 3 are sending the sos signal when you can clearly hear 3 sos in a row, once ur boss unfortunately dies and the sing switches tone randomly in there is more sos from revali but he thought he could fight back, but urbosa was not there any longer to hear the desperate calls for help from revali, the soundtrack of this game is a,saintly horrifying like in the hurdle castle theme, no spoilers though
when i got to this part inside the walking divine beast and about half way into the trials I just let link stand there and took in the music. its so good I was tearing up. This kind of passionate and emotional songwriting without drums is incredibly rare today. one of the best songs of the last decade as far as instrumental music goes and especially video game music
this theme is the most creepy by far and also the the da da da daa daa daa da da da is a morse code text like this ...---... saying sos and this is hiden with all divine beasts and these were the last mesages lest by the champions before they died to the blights
There is a first part that seems so "dark" to later be a more chilling part where we can hear Urbosas theme, maybe meaning she took the initiative in the fighting against thunderblight gannon...
I love this theme and divine a lot more because this was my 1st divine, I wanted to do it so I could get enough hearts to get the Master Sword and it was a hard but fun boss.
Urbosa has sent her signal whilst Ganon keeps her occupied and hits her lightning after lightning. Such an insult to her! With her own lightning against her! She will fight until the very last second. Surrendering is far from her mind. She is heavily injured though. The fight seems to last forever. Urbosa and Ganon go back and forth with each other like in a bizarre dance, all the while blood running down Urbosa. She get's weaker, but is oddly at peace. She is furrious of course, but something tells her, that one day everything is going to be fine. Zelda is going to be fine.
The saddest thing happened when i first met vah naboris i was walking and was really about to die and then i hear vibration and a cutscene happened and i was scared and i got hit
I feel like every change in the music goes from uncertain to certain. It starts off with uncertain and then goes certain then uncertain again then certain again and then mixes the two near the end. I can guess that Urbossa had a weighing certainty, so she was not fully confident about this mission. That’s what I’m guessing. It started off with a kind of disturbing noise
This theme feels…somehow suffocating. 1:06 1:08 (with the higher pitches and her SOS call at the beginning) Thinking about what Lady Urbosa had to go through in this beast, against Thunderblight? Especially with certain parts starting slower, then getting faster later in the theme, it really shows how Urbosa was thinking. At first, she doesn’t really see TB as the biggest threat of her life( 1:16). Then, when the music begins to increase tempo( 3:35 *especially here:* 4:56 ), she’s realizing that battle could cost her her life, and it did.
