Divine Mercy Sunday: Easiest Way to Get to Heaven 

Here's my testimony for what happened just today (Divine Mercy Sunday). I was in sin and _needed_ to confess, but during Mass there was only one priest celebrating in our parish (the only one in our region) and there was no one to hear my confession. To go to him after Mass didn't work out as he would need some time to rest, plus all those in charge of regular Sunday service were going in and out of his office. I went again 15 mins before the next Mass started, but the same thing happened. I felt sad at seeing what a loss it was for me to miss such a momentous unmerited grace, and I added to that a bitterness in my feelings towards God for not listening to my supplications of obtaining forgiveness, knowing how many who did not want to confess received it. This desire was selfish indeed, but I honestly ascribe its impulse to a nudge from the Holy Spirit and Our Lady, which was later confirmed. After constant prayers and slight reproofs, I got an inspiration to go 15 mins after the second Mass, with the conviction that the priest would be there in time to hear my confession and give me Holy Communion. I told Mother: "I want to reconcile myself to Thy Son and to Thee, for I am a wretch and miserable sinner. I consecrate this to Thee, take care of it." I set off there for the third time, and everything happened as was inspired by the good Lord. May this teach us to never lose hope, confidence and trust in Him who considers each one of us as His only child (St Augustine).

I am a physician and will sadly be unable to attend neither the vigil mass nor the Divine Mercy Sunday morning mass. Please pray for me and mine 🙏🏾

I was able to have my parish priest hear my confession last week, but I cannot have Holy Communion on Divine Mercy Sunday because I need the priest to come to my home. Jesus paid it all on the cross. We don’t cooperate with grace, because if we did, it would not be grace which is a gift of God. God’s undeserved favor is something we cannot earn. The Bible tells us this, but man’s traditions and extra doctrine lead us to believe otherwise. Only Jesus. May God lead people out of the deception that is perpetuated at truth.

Didn’t see this video till now, although I’ll certainly attend mass I won’t be able to participate in communion since I haven’t been to confession recently. 🥺😔

Fr. Chris, if one sins during the year (weeks or months after DM Sunday), but is repentful, goes to confession and mass, and TRIES to be in a state of grace, if that person suddenly dies during that year, will he/she still be punished in heaven? Me & my mom always have an argument about this. I say that the promise of Jesus to St. Faustina is an absolute grace, but my mom thinks it won't be applicable anymore if you sin (not mortal i hope) and die after Divine Mercy Sunday. I read on your website that as long as your in state of grace and receive Holy Communion is all that is required. So do I need to go to confession after all to benefit from the graces our Lord promises?

In the Catholic Easter Octave Old Christian Catholic calendar, why does it say Low Sunday and not mercy Sunday, and who changed the calender date, was it Jesus himself as my spiritual director says not to change or interfere with what's being implemented for thousands of years, so we , me and my family no longer celebrate Low Sunday under the new title of mercy Sunday, we are told that neither Vatican one or 2 recognised this new devotion, why is that?

Question on the confession, do I do a general confession including sins already confessed in the past so the punishment for those will be wiped out too or confess only the sins I have committed from my last confession to the Sunday confession?

Is it a problem to not say such prayer? Can't we have complete confidence Jesus will keep his promises even when not reminded in that moment? I unfortunately often forget to say any such prayers and admittedly sometimes even to think about it, but I have the intention when I go to Mass (especially on 1st Fridays/Saturdays)

Does Saturday evening Mass count? I think it does, but I want to be sure.

How about I confess Wednesday before feast day of Divine Mercy, and then I receive holy host on Sunday feast, after that I go to confession, is it valid a plenary indulgence

Can we allocate this plenary indulgence to a deceased person?

We don’t live to get into heaven. We live to bring forth and make alive the New Creation.

Dont you need to say the Chaplet of .Mercy every day AND the Novena of souls Jesus requested? to begin on Good Friday? Followed by Confession then attend DM Mass?? Isnt this all the requirements?
