Paul Selig's book changed my life. Reading them is actually experiential too, you can feel the energy while reading .and the attunements work fast, immediate. Just really wonderful. and Paul is always so "regular " not preachy or anything. I preordered his next book almost wo years ago. And I will pre-order whatever follows

Watching and listening to Paul has for many years felt very much like listening to and watching Ram Dass. Grateful 🙏❤️

A while back I listened to someone who channeled like him. He would make parts of the statements in undertones before making the full statements. I don't know if it was this guy (heck, may have been a woman, my memory is of the content only, oddly). They sound quite on point by my best sense. Suffering isn't the only avenue for growth. Growth happens from just about (if not) everything if growth is happening at all. There's no need to glorify suffering or to implicitly shame those who don't sing praises to it. If it's experienced as distressing or "negative" or otherwise undesirable then that's how it's experienced. If growth comes from it the one can still acknowledge that it was undesirable and be thankful for the grace of growth, as there's again essentially infinite avenues for growth, even for a particular kind/form of growth... Singing praises of suffering often feels like a coping mechanism and has never felt genuine to me. I can easily see it as a way of making meaning (mind) of it. The psych-emotional need for that is understandable. Making such a view explicitly or implicitly a virtue or yardstick to measure oneself or others by is no good. If that's one's own experiential sense, that's OK but that needs to be stated when making such statements. I say this as I've encountered this a lot from people who don't exactly act/speak in the spirit of the grace they claim suffering and growth to be sourced from. Not meaning they fall short at times but that their center of gravity wasn't in said grace though they present themselves as being centered there.
