I'm an athiest and a taoist (yes they can go together) and i think this is just wonderful. We are all different and believe different things, or nothing. Stephanie is truly an insperation, and I read her blog daily. The love she has for her family and her life truly shines brightly enough to make my own relationships better and make me value and love life and family more. I don't care if this is a "Mormon Message". It's a human message, It's a love message.

I have been doing lessons with my local missionaries and I have began to feel the holy spirit. I look forward to waking up everyday and actually feel happy for the first time in my life. I'm also quitting smoking so I may get baptized

Read the book. I have nothing to complain about now. She had to do therapy and multiple surgeries. That would be so hard to have to learn to walk again. :-(

Our own pain and suffering is always valid, not matter how it may seem in the light of another's life. This is a beautiful story of her courage and gratitude for everything she had, and in that, it's inspiring beyond belief. But please don't let this or another circumstances diminish or devalue your own suffering. All of our tears are valid.

Who cares if a person is LDS, Muslim, Buddhist, Catholic or Protestant, Hindu or Amish or Pagan or nothing? The human spirit is amazing, and we are all in this life together, whether we like it or not. Thank you, Steph for a wonderful story of the human spirit. You live it, and you share it. Also, you have absolutely no idea how incredibly gorgeous you are, and I do believe you get prettier every day. There can be no doubting that light in your eyes.

Wow, what a great story. I really admire that couple for not being bitter about their disfigurement, and taking an attitude of faith & gratitude instead. It's also very refreshing & reassuring to see that they still love each other, in spite of the scars. We live in such a superficial, glamour-hungry world, and this movie serves as a wonderful reminder that it doesn't need to be that way.

It's true! She gave a talk at UVU and I was just watching it today. She said that a lot of doctors told them it's common for divorce to happen in a case like this. But they most definitely didn't get divorced, so it's pretty cool. :)

He has just as big of a heart as she does. I am a Mormon myself, raised in the church. The missionaries actually showed my family this video when they came to my house. I've never forgotten it. I love her story. I intend to show my future family her story one day. She makes me look forward to a temple marriage and an eternal family.

I am a christian and not a mormon ,but ithink the important thing to remember here is that we all belive in the Lord Jesus Christ, We are all a peace of His body, regardless of what we "are" (Christian, Mormon, Catholic..etc.). The bible says to us that we must all stick together in faith, we all need each other. This testamony is wonderful and its building all of us in faith. The streangth and love this woman have is truely a sighn from God to all people. God bless this family and all of you

I respectfully disagree only because of the fact that Jesus said many will come in my name saying they are Jesus.in other words he didn't want you to worship just any Jesus he , like God himself said im jealous and he wants you for himself and to know him and I believe Jesus didn't want us to follow Mormonism no more than the Muslim or anybody else that has a skewed version of Jesus. Jesus from the Mormonism perspective is the brother of Lucifer and they teach a false doctrine which is very important in the eyes of God . As well as Muslims they believe in Jesus but they don't believe he died on the cross they believe he was switched off th cross n saved, while no one was looking. That is heresy and negates what Jesus literally did it for. these are things that will cause people to accept any old story and if you truly want to know Jesus read and stick to the Bible scriptures alone. I was like you at one point and thought it's okay everybody deserves to go to heaven that believes in Jesus but it's the correct Jesus. you might as well believe in the Jesus that's down south right now saying he is Jesus I don't mean to be combative or correct you in any way. I just need to speak the truth to all, if you can because they're truly is one Jesus died for our sins and Rose on the third day and that is what he wants U to truly believe in your heart that he did that for us and you're not able to do that through all these other false teachings. Satan doesn't care if you believe in Jesus and God or anything as long as it's not the real one he wants you one degree off so by the time you get to your destination you are miles away just like sailing. God bless you and may the father son and holy Spirit guide you to the truth

The missionaries just showed me this testimony last Friday. It touched me deeply and reminded me of my own trials and struggles. A single mother of two boys, disabled from a stroke in 1998 and I just lost my mother last December. Jesus Christ will carry us when we find it too hard to bear on our own. He's there. He's been there before we ever experienced pain or sorrow or struggle. Thank you Stephanie for your message and may God bless you and keep you and your family in all you do. Amen

I am so glad to see this video.. Although I am not a mormon, I am a Christian and I believe God DOES have a purpose for all of us. So glad that Stephanie is here, what a blessing she has been to her community, her friends, her family, her church and strangers like me around the globe. This touched my heart in such a profound way as I wept for her, not out of sympathy but out of joy, compassion, and respect for her ability to be so faithful, persevering and trusting of God and His Son Jesus Christ. She makes me want to be a better man and to have compassion for others. If I could only be more like her and in turn like the Savior, my life will have been meaningful and of substance. And yes, I agree, she is beautiful in so many ways.

During Stephanie's recovery I struggled with severe depression. It was a fight to stay alive. When I felt overwhelmed by despair, I thought of Stephanie. I thought, if she could do it, I can too--and I kept fighting. The Lord and Savior Jesus Christ comforted and healed me as he did Stephanie. Stephanie's faith and determination to find beauty in her scarred new life encourages me to do the same.

As someone who has struggled with mental illness all my life, I relate to this and feel uplifted by her testimony. I have been to mental hospitals on several occasions, and during the first of these outings, I remember weakly lying on the floor for days on end, wondering why God didn't take my trials away from me. Did He care? Well, I know the answer to that now, and I know it well. The answer is "yes"! I am stronger now that I perhaps have ever been, and I feel positively rewarded. I am weak mentally and physically in many ways, but I have the Spirit with me. I have God with me! I know this. And I have my family. So even if I should fail time and time again, I have them to turn back to. I have them to protect and to love. I can learn from them and teach them. Today I had a holy experience. I was prompted to go to a specific place to get certain items that would help my mother feel better. Well, at that place was Hubba Bubba gum for 50 cents and licorice for 9 cents apiece. A crazy deal for sure! I got to not only bless my mother, but the rest of the family, as well. We have delicious licorice, and my mother is able to get better, too!

I've accompanied Stephanie on her journey as an anonymous bystander. I read her blog long before the crash and admired her for who she was then. I remember clearly the moment I heard about the crash. I had called my sister with a question, and when she answered the phone I heard tears in her voice. She told me that her friend, Stephanie Nielsen, had just been in a plane crash with her husband. We cried for Stephanie and her family that day; although we'd never met her, she felt like a friend.

Thanks for this. I feel weighed down by a broken marriage with the thoughts that this is my life for the rest of my time on earth - darkness, loneliness and a sense of loss for what might have been. This has helped me to realize that life goes on, that it does not matter if I miss out in this life - there is greater good to come and I too can make the world a better place in the meantime. I am Doug Kinneard's Aunt. He was a wonderful person. Did you know his brother and brother's wife were killed in a car crash in December 2009? The faith of their families is marvelous to see as is yours. I am so glad you are here Stephanie to carry the message that there is a plan and we must keep faith with our Heavenly Father.
