The creators of some of these Mini Programs were really like: *"Yeah, let's just make some of those plants people see in clickbait PvZ thumbnails official, what's the worst that could happen?"*
Especially the last one with the anime girls.i refuse to believe PopCap did that.I mean they gotta aim for all audiences but thats maybe the one they shouldnt have looked into
@@numbskull_justashinyfuecoco Be aware that PopCap has a lot of extensions. The best example must be PopCap Shangai, which was the main delevoper of PvZ 2 Chinese version currently delevoped by TalkWeb. While technicaly the original PopCap has the rights to the entire PvZ2, they aren't too aware of what happening to their chinese games. That why some things in this games differ that much, including anime girls
There was an augmented reality game made spesifically to promote a crossover event in pvz all stars with a real life musician. The only thing I know is that you could make a low polly zombified version of that musician just appear in irl places. Idk what it did but the existence of it is just batshit insane to me.
there are so many people in China you can make anything for any purpose because the demand is going to exist somewhere. 0.01% of a 1.4 billion pop is still enormous
@@jctubezzz I wonder if someone custom rigged it up. Because the pvz version I played was literally changed to be l playable on the kiosk, they provided it. That's interesting though. Also if it was a joke don't whooosh me I just don't know if ur joking.
Yeah, that’s by far the most interesting part about these games. The fact that there’s potentially even more out there that almost nobody knows about is crazy!
I'm actually morbidly curious to know more about PvZ: Evolve. Like, if they put that much effort into turning one plant into an anime woman, then surely there's _more,_ right...? On second thought, perhaps it's better to let it stay buried in the depths of the internet.
As a heads up on the whole "PvZ Pinyin Adventure game being missing" thing, I actually have the ipa file for this game but I can't play it since I don't have an iPhone. I'd be happy to provide to anyone who thinks they might be able to play it if anyone wants.
I also have PvZ 2 Tencent Edition but I can't play it since it requires some account in order to play. I'd imagine that it has some offline functionality since it is PvZ2 afterall but I'm not sure.
Ever heard of iceman? It’s this arcade game where you take on the role of snowpea, using a water gun (yes the water gun shoots actual water) to freeze zombies or something. I encountered this curiosity at the closet Monster Mini-Golf.
I actually have heard of this, and I’ve seen it at a few arcades I’ve been to! It’s really jarring to see something that’s borderline illegal making it’s way into arcades and such lol
Taco Chan is probably the most Blursed thing in my life. not only does it originate from something plants vs zombies related, but ironically she looks nothing like she is in the universe, i must admit, the design is pretty cute. 10/10 would make as a profile picture.
Crazy Dave speaking in Ching Billing in the last thing I expected, and its official. I don’t know if I was prepared mentally for that, and I still need to recover.
it would be cool if the whole game was just egypt with many interesting levels and u can earn every plants basically the same game but a lot more expanded
Hey fun fact, the one with the plant girls are actually plagiarizing some mods from fans. The quality control of this franchise carried by a singular game nowadays (in china and elsewhere) is quite wonderful.
There was a pvz2 chinese game where it was a AR trading card game and the cards can even battle themselves. And I also think that you can still buy the cards.
Plants Vs. Zombies 2 Egypt ISIN'T all it has to offer actually! It's pretty confusing, but it actually has ±3 versions, being Plants Vs. Zombies 2 Future the main one, as it is the one with the most content like Power Titles, IZM, Pirate Seas, Modern Day (of which Egypt has included) and some other weird stuff.
I literally had a idea to make a pvz mod with the plants being plant girls at some point, so i would actually play evolved, and i hate me for it. Edit: You know what? idk why i said i hate myself for it, is a fun concept, even if a bit odd idk why people overreact to this stuff like it's nsfw or something.
The real question about that replacement is what are you doing with your life. I thought people mod it for playability. The people didn't hate it. It's just why.
90% of this video is just “here something but I want talk about it” like anyone watching a part 2 to a PVZ in China video wouldn’t want to know about PVZ games in China. I would really prefer if you would actual go into depth about it because that is what I am here for.
Some of this PVZ games, I can somewhat understand that they exist but PVZ2 Evolve???, I don't think I would believe its an official game, ok so it turns most of the plants into their female versions I guess but looking at this game alone without any information would make you think this must be a mod but in reality, its an actual official game, not even a fangame or anything, man this pvz rabbit hole is deeper than any rabbit hole that Ive encountered, anyways great video,I did watch the first part and I was already in a familiar road since I knew this games existed but in this second part, I didn't even knew this games existed or I didn't even knew there were more of this wierd games..
5:58 omg its me!! This vid would be pretty good but it has zero mention of "Mark Zombie's Valentines Day Bitch Strategy" so 0/10 But actually theres a lot of interesting Chinese PvZ stuff other than just the normal games that are even more obscure, such as the CCPPG books, the VR ride "Plants vs. Zombies Shooting Dome", "Plants vs. Zombies: Saving The Sunflower Queen", a 10 minute long "5D" 360 film that is almost entirely lost, a live musical (not to be confused with the one from the Philippines), the different Anime series made by Rongdafeng (an official Chinese PvZ toy licensee, though it's unlikely PopCap has any involvement), the fact that Nanjing University Press (publisher of Chinese PvZ guidebooks) also published Plants Gone Wild books, different collabs like ones with Jam Hsiao, Meters/bonwe, Colgate, etc, the fact the official PvZ Weibo page posted uncensored photos of the 2012 Miami cannibal attack while joking about it, I could go on further but I think you get the idea
I remember seeing videos of PvZ1 mod that added this gatling pea anime girl long time ago. I wonder if mod was inspired by this game or they made a game based on it.
please make more of these videos, i found the first one of this series on my recommended and now i am extremely interested in this extremely niche topic
Hello! I've watched your first chinese videos after the 1st day of it being uploaded. Now i've managed to be even earlier in your video. I also like how you explain everything, So +1 sub
There is a modified version of the Android TV version called PvZ Touch which adds more content such as Leaderboards and Achievements,CO-OP Challenges and Adventure and VS Mode,A mod menu,Upgardable house,Zombatar and 6 New Mini-Games including Buttered Popcorn and It's Raining Seeds
No... hear me out... PvZ... But, like, with waifus, like... Anime girls, with huge badonkadonks, now THAT would sell a lot The ones in that game were too flat for most of the public kek
I didn't know that PvZ Gijinka characters either A: existed and B: were somewhat official and now I do. so that's neat. legitimately though these Chinese games are really interesting to me as someone who's entire Plants vs Zombies experience was the first game on PC and now I've kinda started playing PvZ2 (I just do not know if I like it or not the microtransactions are a lot)
@@emeralddiscordian3116 I can't figure out how the heck you're meant to install pvz2 mods, I gave up on the base game because it got way too aggressively microtransaction-y so if mods remove them that's great, but installing mods seems like a difficult process?
Do you think George Fan, or anyone back in 2008, thought that when they were making PvZ1 that any of these would come to exist? I highly doubt it, but you never really know, do you?
Yeah, I highly doubt George Fan had any clue what was going to come of this franchise while PVZ1 was still selling big. It’s crazy to think that Peashooter and… anime girl Peashooter are both real lol
As a member of the VTuber and Genshin community, let me say this. If you're gonna turn something into a waifu/husbando, make sure the character design fits the original concept and the feel of their personality. It's a little more than just slapping anime on it and you're done.
I don't remember the game name or if it was covered last time, but there was one I'm pretty sure I got off of the Baidu app store for android (possibly a yt video description dl link) where the game was something like you had 3 rows and when you placed down plants, they would move right until they fought a zombie moving left. I don't recall much about it other than I'm pretty sure you won by getting to the other side. Pretty basic gameplay loop but was decent enough for me back in the day when my sense of quality control was like that of a drunken toddler for what a good mobile game was.
Geez that thumbail had to make me brave, because of that cursed peashooter. And it was here too. Also rip Peashooterbob. We will miss him. And lastly, at 2:49, every 13 y.o will descend on you like a piranha saying "OMG PIZZA TOWER!!!1!!"
Does anyone remember Plants vs Zombies 3 China by the way? I'm not even sure if it's an official one, but it was on a 5x7 grid and being able to use different peashooters and sunflowers and you playing as the zombies once in a while
